We recently visited Thai Room Grand and really enjoyed our meal! We ordered a mix of dishes: the Grand Pad Thai with chicken, Thai hot and sour soup with chicken, chicken satay skewers, Royal Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken and shrimp, and for dessert, the coconut sticky rice with mango. To drink, we had Thai iced tea and lychee juice.
Everything we had was actually really good — I don’t have a clear favorite, which says a lot. I loved the variety; if I had stuck to just one dish, I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it as much. The Pad Thai and pineapple fried rice were both packed with flavor and came in generous portions. The soup was smaller, but still very tasty and warming.
The chicken satay skewers were just okay — not bad, but lacking in flavor compared to everything else. Probably wouldn’t get those again. As for the dessert, the coconut sticky rice was nice, but I mostly liked it because of the mango. Wouldn’t rush to get it again, but it was a good finish to the meal.
The Thai iced tea was a standout — rich, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. I’d definitely get that again. The lychee juice was clearly from a box, just poured into a glass, but still refreshing.
Service was decent — nothing to rave about, but friendly and efficient. Also a big plus: it’s kid-friendly! Our son was given a highchair right away and had enough space to eat comfortably, which we really appreciated.
Overall, a solid 8/10 experience. Great variety, good portions, and a place I’d return to — especially for the mains and that Thai iced tea.
