Thali Thali Game Lodge

The company I worked for decided to do a teambuilding for our store managers. Thali Thali was the perfect place to do this. Everyone was so welcoming, sincere, down to earth and super accommodating. The accommodation itself was so homely and comfy. The game drive added was a special touch to whole experience. We also had some visitors that came to joins when we braaied (Liefie, the deer and the gang). What a magical experience. A huge thank you to Frankie, Amalia and team for making sure that all our needs were met and made sure that we had the best stay!!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! From start to finish, everything was absolutely magical. The food was beyond delicious, and the staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire weekend. One of the highlights for our guests was being greeted by giraffes upon arrival — such a unique and unforgettable experience! Later in the evening, a few curious bokkies even joined the after-party, adding a touch of wild charm to the celebration. A special thank you to Amalia, the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right. Her kindness, passion, and personal touch made us feel truly special and turned our dream day into a reality. This venue is a hidden gem — we couldn’t recommend it more highly!

I went to Thali Thali Lodge with my family for the first time last weekend and what can I say: We were thrilled all along the line. This wonderful lodge is not only very extensive and beautifully laid out, it also invites you to relax and linger. We had two super nice clamping tents which were really great and the view is jaw dropping. We also went on two game drives and were very lucky to see so many animals up close. Our guide was super nice and had a wealth of knowledge. I have to say that we felt incredibly comfortable, the staff are so helpful and obliging and incredibly nice. But the crowning glory, apart from the close contact with the wild animals, was the excellent food. You could taste that it was fresh and prepared with love. Five stars for the food. We can only recommend the Thali Thali Lodge to anyone, especially with children, because the animals come very close at the lodge. We had the great pleasure and luck of feeding a deer named ‘Livie’. She came straight to our tent and let us stroke her. Unforgettable moments. Our overall rating for Thali Thali Lodge is a 9/10. Thank you so much for giving us such a great weekend. We will definitely be back.

Home away from home! Absolutely stunning farm, kind, helpful, friendly & very competent staff. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome & to ensure we are comfortable. Food out of this world. Will most definitely be going back! Amalia, Hanri & Ashley, thank you for making our trip so memorable!!

DO NOT miss stopping at this lovely lodge!! The Friendly staff go out of their way to make our visit extra special!! We only stopped here for breakfast & we really enjoyed it!! There is a beautiful crystal clear swimming pool, archery, hunting, game viewing- we saw giraffes, buffalo & springbok. Highly recommended & we'll definitely be back soon!! I think it can be SO nice to stay over & sit around a big camp fire 🔥

We had a fabulous afternoon and overnight stay at Thali Thali.|The game drive was fun, and we were thrilled to see a giraffe with a glimpse of their new born baby. Thank you Lourika!|The food and hospitality were also wonderful - we had the braii for 2.||Highly highly recommended for a short break when in the Langebaan area.

I had the pleasure of taking a game drive at Thali Thali Game Lodge, and it was a fantastic experience! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and the beautiful reserve. We saw a variety of animals up close, and the drive was both relaxing and exciting. The scenery is stunning, with wide-open spaces and breathtaking views, making it a perfect escape into nature. Even though I didn’t stay over, the lodge itself looked welcoming and well-maintained. I’d highly recommend the game drive to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable wildlife experience!

We enjoyed our stay on this game reserve, although probably would pick another type of room if we returned.|We stayed on a 1 bedroom cottage which, while pleasant enough, was a little too basic for us. It's simply furnished with a small sitting room/kitchen a bedroom and a very basic bathroom. Aside from the bathroom it was okay but for us, a couple from the UK, not having air conditioning on temperatures that were not used to made sleeping very difficult and uncomfortable.|When I booked 11 months previously, there was another alternative, a glamping tent but we felt the "cottage" would be more comfortable. However, since then the glamping tents have been upgraded to have solid walls and only really have a canvas roof. They also have air conditioning and superior views.|If we did return, that's what we'd go for next time.|On a positive note, the staff here are all lovely, the food, especially the dinners were fabulous and good value and the mini game drive was worth doing at just under £14 for a couple of hours viewing.|Overall, I'd recommend the glamping tents but not the cottages.|Lastly the pool was disappointing, particularly as there were only 2 sun loungers for the entire place, which has up to 16 guests staying, which meant when we did want to lay on the sun we were unable to do so.|Having said that we did enjoy our 2 night stay but would only return if we could get the "tent" to stay in
