My mother (who has never been to a 'developing' country before) and I stayed here for a week, and BOTH of us loved the experience! Thise treated us like family, checking in on our needs/adventures every day, waking up at 4 a.m. to make sure we got off to the airport ok, offering suggestions whenever asked... The rooms were quiet and clean, as were the kitchen and shared living spaces.||||Even though my mom was frightened of the neighborhood at first (a lot of wild dogs, people loitering around and barbed wire fences), when we actually went out to the corner store or bakery, the locals were super friendly and helpful.||||For my mother, Thanna's Place was an unexpected square of home, located super close to the Savannah, several shops, and the downtown area. I don't think she would have been as comfortable anywhere else!
