During our travels in Ninh Binh, we stumbled upon a truly remarkable dining experience off the bustling Tam Coc main streets. Nestled on a quiet side road, this eatery offered not only a peaceful ambiance but also an unforgettable culinary journey.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the owner, who was incredibly friendly and provided fantastic recommendations. Her husband, the talented chef, crafted dishes bursting with authentic Vietnamese flavors. We savored the succulent duck with basil and the tender goat with lemongrass, and we also ordered the crispy burnt rice and the zesty papaya salad, both of which perfectly complemented the main dishes.
What truly set this experience apart was the personal touch. We were the only customers that afternoon, and our food arrived in mere minutes. After the meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who shared insights into their cooking techniques and the fresh herbs they use.
If you’re a food enthusiast seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine away from the tourist crowds, this place is a must-visit. It’s not only great value for money but also a delightful escape into the heart of local flavors. We’ll definitely return every time we’re in Ninh Binh.
