Thatch Caye Resort, a Muy'Ono Resort

This was one of the most amazing trips I have ever taken. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful, kind, very hard workers. From the lodge staff, housekeeping, amazing cooks (the food was soooo good) and all the staff that keep the grounds clean. The tours around the island were fun, the water is clear and beautiful. Marley, the island dog, he lives the best life. The rooms are clean; the beds are comfortable. I can't wait to visit again!

Absolute paradise! Though fairly remote, they made travel to the island easy. Once we got there the staff were all friendly and wonderful. Food at every meal was fresh and delicious. Snorkeling is a must! We saw so many beautiful fish, rays, lobster, and more. Would absolutely recommend and go back for a relaxing, low-key retreat!

Wow....what an experience. This place is magical. Didn't know what to expect when we got there but halfway into our first full day and I got it. The staff makes you feel like you're staying at their home. Tons of options for excursions but we spent most of our time relaxing on this tiny island. Most people were out doing their thing so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Hospitality, food, vibe....check and check. Definitely a unique experience that we have never had before in all of our travels. 10/10 experience. WE LOVE THATCH CAYE!!! My husband and I spent our honeymoon on this wonderful island and we had the best time. A short boat ride from the mainland brings you to your private all inclusive island. It has beautiful clear water, sunshine, over water bungalows with their own decks, and even 2 mascot doggies! The best thing about this resort, however, was the amazing staff. From the moment they welcome you with drinks and smiles, the staff of Thatch Caye ensure your trip is nothing short of fun-filled and spectacular. By the end of our stay we felt so at home and like we had bonded with the staff. Special shout outs to Luis, Shakira, Irwin, Junior, Darvin, Charles, and Anivar!!!! We absolutely will be coming back.

Our trip to Belize was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the warmth, authenticity, and hospitality of everyone we met. The sister resorts we stayed at — Sweet Songs and Thatch Caye — were exceptional. Special shout out to the staff at Thatch Caye (Jackson, Anivar, Daniel, Junior, Shakira) who truly went above and beyond. We felt so welcomed and so pampered every single day. What was most special was connecting with the different local communities, and learning about their mixed and maintained heritage. What a unique blend of cultures!! And everywhere we went, there was such a deep sense of pride in their roots and traditions. And the FOOD was exceptionally good - made with fresh locally sourced ingredients everyday. All in all, Belize surpassed all of our expectations and left us with unforgettable memories of the island, its people, and its vibrant culture. We can’t wait to be back!!

My stay at Thatch Caye was everything I expected and so much more. The island has an intimate, exclusive feel—with only about 16 rooms and roughly 30 guests at a time—which made the experience incredibly peaceful and personal. During my visit, there were many couples and a few singles, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Although the resort is kid-friendly, I personally wouldn’t recommend it for children, as the vibe is perfect for adults looking to unwind and disconnect. The staff truly made the trip unforgettable. The manager, Luis, is absolutely amazing—warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making each guest feel special. Danny, Charlie, Junior, and Jessica were also exceptional. Their consistency and hospitality throughout my entire stay added to the personalized, at-home feeling of the island. If you’re looking for a beautiful, intimate getaway with top-tier service and a one-of-a-kind island experience, Thatch Caye is the place. I can’t wait to go back.

Thatch Caye is a serene, peaceful paradise that truly feels like home—even though you’re far away. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family, and that feeling never faded. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere relaxing, and the excursions were unforgettable. From sunrise breakfasts with amazing Belizean fry jacks to night snorkeling with Darvin, island hopping with Darvin and Richie, and incredible sea-to-table meals, every detail was exceptional. Shakira went above and beyond at every meal, Charles impressed us with freshly squeezed, pulp-free orange juice, Junior kept things fun at the bar, and “Action Jackson” made sure everything ran seamlessly with excursions, entertainment, and pure positive energy. Richie and Darvin were first class tour guides! Even the island dogs, Pico and Marley, added charm and laughter to our stay. The island itself is stunning, the accommodations are perfectly “island chic,” and the sense of community—shared dinners, real conversations, no phones—made the experience truly special. We can’t say enough about Thatch Caye. First-class in every way, and we’re already planning our return. Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable stay!

We just got back from our third trip to Thatch Caye Resort in Belize. We keep visiting (and have brought others) because of the special staff that makes sure your stay is exactly what you want it to be. The location is beautiful, the accommodations are comfortable, the food is delicious, and there are so many opportunities for meeting new friends. VISIT SOON - I know I will!
