Their toasts are really good and worth trying. We went there 2 days in a row and didn't wait in line at all. You should definitely try this place for breakfast in Bruges.

Google
Great breakfast place! Enjoyed it so much that we visited twice on our trip. Lots of options and reasonably priced. Service was good. It can get a little busy to may need to wait outside for a table to free up but we only had to wait 5 minutes or so. Would visit again!

Google
Tasty local breakfast place. The avocado toast has a nice blend of sauce and other fresh ingredients. This restaurant got crowded after 9am, even in mid-November on a weekday! Dishes arrive quick though. So better book in advance if you are here during the summer!

Google
Lovely little cafe with friendly service & great coffee. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options however we found the food lacked flavour. I had the Triple Madame and this was dry and lacked flavour. My husband had the full breakfast, this was tasty however the sausages looked very undercooked and Luke warm.

Google
I came here for brunch on my own. The staff are amazing and it's a very cute restaurant. There is a bit of a queue so you might have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. I was at the back of the queue and a waiter came out to say I can sit outside with the heaters - which was fine and the heater kept me warm. There are also blankets if you want them. The food was tasty and coffee was delicious, however the whites on the eggs were a bit runny which isn't how I prefer them, also I think the sausages could've been cooked longer - I feel like the chef was cooking the dishes a bit too quickly because it's such a busy place. It's a nice place to come for lunch or breakfast though.

Google
During my two visits to this restaurant, I was impressed both times. The coffee was fantastic, and the breakfast was equally delightful. The diverse menu and delicious flavors stood out. The friendly and attentive staff added to the wonderful experience. Definitely worth the wait for such a delightful and complete dining experience. Highly recommended!

Google
We went on Saturday morning and expect a bit of wait to get a table, but they’re fairly efficient. Service was solid! Had a steak sandwich, it was good but the steak was blue which is a bit unusual for such. Overall recommend to try.

Google
We had to queue for about 30 minutes, which was a bit frustrating, however, it’s nice that we didn’t get turned away for not having a reservation (quite common in Bruges). Due to the long queue, they were quite keen for us to leave as soon as we had finished, so we did feel a bit rushed. They have plenty of vegan options and the portions are generous.

Jamie A.

Yelp
Picked this place because of the unique take on brunch and toast. I was all carbed out and ordered the sweet potato dish which was incredible. I can't even explain how creative and conscientious the food experience at Toast is. Very busy. Expect a wait. Not that loud inside which was nice. They have a small patio too. Many coffee options and used barista terms I hadn't heard of. FYI a long black is a shot of espresso in hot water. Learned something new! Bathroom is interesting and women have a stall with a door and guys have a sink and urinal behind a potted plant. lol.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants! If you think toast for a meal is boring come here. They elevated the traditional menu. Sit down service that's casual. They have some fun decor. Go here if you are in Bruges!!!!

Stephanie J.

Yelp
We dined here for breakfast and had a good experience. It was the All Day Breakfast Plate with a latte for my husband and The Classic Toast with an orange juice for me. We both enjoyed our food, drinks and the service.

Michael S.

Yelp
My fiancé and I arrived at 11am without a reservation (they don't do reservations, FYI - it's first-come first serve, which is the objectively fairest way of running a restaurant queue - don't @ me), and were quickly seated after the wait staff came to retrieve us from the front. Overall: definitely go here for a fantastic brekkie in Bruges. The high quality drinks and food, exemplary service, and overall intimate (without being crowded) vibe make this place easily recommendable. Quote from the Missus: "The bread quality is better than other places. Crunchy, but doesn't hurt your mouth eating it ". Her rating is 4.7/5. The menu is one-sided, on a large format poster board. To drink, my fiancé ordered a 'long black' and a 'going green' juice, and I ordered a red velvet latte. For food, she ordered a savory "the classic", and I ordered a sweet "triple French toast". Thoughts: um, does "nomnomyumyum" count? It was incredible! The matcha flavour came out well in the triple French, and it was clear that the classic was very well made - the one bite I had immediately told me that the quality of bread used in the toast was the reason they called it "that's toast". The drinks were presented beautifully (red velvet latte art is some real skill there), and were very tasty. Can't say much more besides "I'm impressed". I almost forgot - there's free Wi-Fi! Can't hate being able to use the internet to rave about how awesome your brekkie experience was.

Yelp
That's toast lives up to its reputation. We highly enjoyed our breakfast toast with eggs on top. The toast is Artisan bread the avocado and asparagus with radish root shavings on top was a unique dish! I enjoyed one of the best lattes I've ever had. My daughter had the fresh squeezed OJ I took one sip and let me tell you, that OJ was really fresh squeezed you could toast that there was no sugar! Best breakfast ever!

Mundae K.

Yelp
Super yummy breakfast. Just read the multiple reviews already posted and know that "I agree"!!! :》 The portion sizes are big enough to share, but the drinks are petite.

Shashikala P.

Yelp
Ambiance was good, house turned to a caffe vibes, people working there talked English, that was very helpful, one of the best French toast I've ever had, my brother liked is all day breakfast, nothing fancy, just a comfort food, I would've liked my cappuccino bit stronger, other than that loved everything about this place!!

Yelp
Fabulous food. Very creative. Addresses every style whether vegan or carnivore. Service with a smile. Quick and reasonably priced! Nice clean place. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table because it is that good but definitely worth it. Here's a before and after photo! Coffee is also fantastic.

Corey C.

Yelp
A wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, inside or outside on the cute patio. Yes, they have toast and it is amazing! This place is rather busy yet super efficient and you'll be seated an enjoying freshly made juices and toasts to your liking in moments. Do try the hot chocolate if you are feeling extra indulgent as you start your day!

Sunina G.

Yelp
Guys - this place is so cute and so good! We stopped here for brunch after arriving from Brussels and before wandering Bruges. I had the dirty chai and the vegetable breakfast while my sister had the avocado toast. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend checking out when in Bruges.

Katelyn D.

Yelp
Headed here when visiting around Christmas for breakfast. They don't take reservations and there was a slight queue outside but it moved fast and I only waited about 15-20 minutes. The staff did walk around to assess group numbers and provide the menu in advance for those in line. They have a small front seating area and a back garden area, though in nicer weather they may also have tables out front. The staff was attentive and helpful but also let you enjoy your meal. Once inside, I was able to order quickly despite so many good options. I picked the Smokey and a cappuccino. The coffee was well made and came out in a timely fashion with the meal soon after. The salmon, avocado & capers toast was pretty large and you really only need 1 toast per person. If you were going for the large meals, maybe split that and a toast for 2 people, sides if your are really hungry. The dish was great, fresh items and crunchy toast. Definitely a place I'd visit again!

Preeti R.

Yelp
Sooo good! Open faced sandwiches are my favorite because you can customize them in endless ways and that's exactly what this place does so well. We had a hard time choosing since they have so many good options and ended up going with the Eggplant and chicken sandwiches. Both were amazing and flavorful. I also treated myself to a hot chocolate since it's Belgium, this felt worth a try. When the drink was brought out, I'll admit that I was quite surprised to see a hot cup of whole milk with the 65% dark chocolate chips on the side. You get to mix in the chips depending on how chocolatey you want the drink to be :) It's then the hot chocolate as you remember it. Husband enjoyed his cappuccino. Friendly, pleasant service and the interior is cute.

Harrison H.

Yelp
Came here for a nice little Christmas Eve breakfast! Cute little place, and it did not disappoint. Me and the girlfriend ordered the all day breakfast plate, and the classic. Just enough food to make us satisfied!

Aimee W.

Yelp
This was a wonderful breakfast with fresh ingredients. The meals were nicely prepared and presented. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for "clean" and fresh food (healthier).

Evangeline F.

Yelp
Omgeeeeee I'm still dreaming about eating here! Fresh, great service, healthy food choices. What's not to love. They have avocado toast, fresh squeezed juices, fresh green juices, everything healthy and edible. Atmosphere is great and u get served fairly quick. All dishes are super yum, you cannot go wrong. If In Brugge, definitely stop to eat here.

Sean C.

Yelp
My husband and I both got one of the toasts and they were pretty elaborate looking, but very delicious. We were seated right away and they were able to store our stroller for us. Cute cafe vibes, everyone one nice and it was a great location close to everything in Brugge.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place is rated extremely highly on TripAdvisor and in fact, I think it one of if not the highest rated place that serves vegetarian and vegan food. We tried to come on a Tuesday but they are closed that day so we were able to pop in for brunch the following morning. My mother complains frequently and has a lot of requirements regarding what she is willing to eat so, of course and as expected, there was an element of that when we sat down. Even if there wasn't out loud, I'm sure she was thinking it in her head. It was completely full inside but we were given the option of waiting a few minutes for a table inside or sitting immediately outside. It was definitely chilly but acceptable and we elected to sit outside. It was actually a lovely experience sitting on the street. They have a bunch of savory and sweet options as well as toast and other-than-toast dishes on the menu. They have the standard caffeinated beverages but I certainly raised my eyebrows when I saw the "red velvet latte" on the menu. Yes, I ate both frites AND waffles TWICE yesterday so the waistline factored into my decision but I like to think calories don't count on vacation. Other members of my party ordered a boring coffee with a side of soy milk (guess who that was), a latte, and a dirty chai. All of them except for the boring coffee were gorgeous and worthy of the ol' gram. You are able to get a really nice shot of the beautiful architecture in the nearby intersection if you are sitting outside. My little jackfruit toast and I both ordered the jackfruit toast served on a THICC slice of bread with beet hummus, bbq-flavored jackfruit, lettuce, and topped with a nice hunk of sprouts. Presentation was on point with a sauce pattern on the edges of the plate. This was very tasty and filling. I was actually considering giving some of it to my Dad for reasons mentioned below but decided to just eat the whole thing myself. My Dad ordered the French toast which he mentioned enjoying very much but the size of the dish was disappointing. It was much less than our "toasts". My mom fortunately was able to find something she wanted to eat, slow cooked oats with beautiful berries and what looked like granola. Presentation was exquisite and she reported, on multiple occasions, how much she loved this restaurant and how good their food is. Service was also excellent. Our servers were very kind and friendly and much more so than at other places we have dined. I can see why the reviews are so overwhelmingly positive.

Molly Z.

Yelp
A cute little spot in the heart of Bruges! They use fresh, quality ingredients and seemed to have something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my latte macchiato and mushroom toast. The mushroom hummus was creamy and flavorful. My husband had the classic avocado toast and really liked it. The only miss for him was the Slutty Mary. The presentation was great and it looked good on paper but there was something that was way too sweet in it. Service was friendly and food was brought out quickly. A great breakfast spot if you're in Bruges!

Sherree D.

Yelp
Good grief, the food here was such a welcome sight! We visited for breakfast and everything we ordered was so fresh and hearty and absolutely delicious! Be aware that there is a line and very little space to wait inside, but it is worth every second. The eggs were really rich (orange!), the toast was dense and full of seeds, the avocado was bright green and perfect, and each plate was sprinkled with nuts and sprouts and all sorts of delicious goodness. You can't go wrong with anything you order here! B O T T O M L I N E : Go! Just go.

Carol P.

Yelp
Great breakfast, hard to choose. I got the veggie with mushrooms delicious. The mimosa was made with fresh squeezed orange juice none other will compare!

Ralph E.

Yelp
I have been here twice in 2019 and now in 2021 I was able to return. Still a very cute and well decorated little place. Insta picture opportunities abound! Still super friendly service but be aware everything is made fresh and it will take a few minutes while each order is brought to the table when it is ready (not all at once for everyone) The menu has had some changes (Tartaar and Pumpkin were absent) and I did not notice any daily specials this time. My "go to" is The Classic Avocado toast. Definitely a must try for breakfast/brunch when visiting Brugge.

Kori S.

Yelp
Not my personal favorite, but I don't like soft bread for French toast. The atmosphere is cute, staff was great, my friend loved her meal. I just ate the eggs and bacon.

Nathalia Z.

Yelp
My sister and I try to go to Toast several times, but they were always close. We finally were able to make it and I'm so happy we did. Decor: super cute both inside and outside Food: we had coffee and an open face toast sand. Delicious! The avocado toast was flavorful and the side of bacon was mouth watering. My eggplant toast was out of this world. Must try

Alex B.

Yelp
One of the best breakfasts I ever had in my life was here. The coffee is so damn good! The French toast was to die for! The all day vege plate was perfection! The decor is very interesting with toast cartoons and plants everywhere. The wait for a table isn't as bad as it looks because there's always a line outside. This place is a must if you're in town. Do not skip it. Do whatever it takes to eat here!

Aimee B.

Yelp
Was here on vacation and this was a great small place for a good breakfast. Super friendly service with fresh food. It does take a few extra minutes for your orders, but worth the wait. Lots of coffee/tea options as well.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Fantastic! Love the innovative dishes on toast and the freshly squeezed orange juice. I had the classic with avocado spread on the toast, perfectly poached egg, asparagus, and grana padano. Service and atmosphere were very good. I wish I could have eaten there more often, but my stay in Bruges was short.

Carly G.

Yelp
American style restaurant. Got a chai latte, vanilla oat milk latte, lemonade, a granola bowl, poke bowl, and avocado toast. In the third photo was a wall of different herbs that the cooks would take from and put directly on the food (taking farm to table extremely literal).

Carlos B.

Yelp
Great coffee, the only downside is that it's very busy and they take more than 10 minutes to seat you. Food awesome and coffee ....delicious coffee

Brittany B.

Yelp
Okay as much as I love a no frills place, sometimes I also enjoy the exact opposite. Think it's perfectly okay to like both! There was so much on the menu that I wanted to try. I knew I wanted to try one of the toasts and I'm a sucker for anything with smoked salmon. It was the horseradish cream that sealed the deal for me! I tried a iced vanilla latte macchiato and it was served with some sort of sweet bread (meant to ask and completely forgot to). My only complaint is that the tables are super close together so you're practically eating with the people next to you. Little bit on the pricier side but I'd come back to try more on the menu.

Sherry N.

Yelp
Loved this breakfast spot! We waited about 30 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait! The food was delicious! I got hot chocolate to drink and oh my....LOVED IT!!! Honestly loved everything about the restaurant!!! A must if you are visiting Brugge!

Riya P.

Yelp
Can't emphasize enough everyone NEEDS TO GO HERE . The toast was the best toast i've ever had , the drinks were refreshing and the fruit bowl was fresh and had a wide variety of fruits.

Robert G.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast. Healthy and delicious. Service was also amazing. Had the Avocado toast.

Ron S.

Yelp
On vacation in Europe and looking for a good place for breakfast this was outstanding they took the time to answer all my questions in English which was fantastic when we received our food they made sure that everything was the way we wanted it outstanding place to visit

Joyce C.

Yelp
I had the most delicious breakfast here during my day trip to Bruges earlier this year! The restaurant is located on a very narrow street that isn't easily accessible by car. Upon entering the store, we noticed that there were no tables and just a counter for customers to order their coffee to go. We were directed to the back of the store where there a few tables and even outdoor seating in a quaint little garden. I don't remember what my girlfriend ordered but I got the all day breakfast big plate and a cappuccino. My cappuccino was delicious but so was all of the coffee that I had in Belgium. My breakfast plate was so hearty and such good deal for only 14 euros. I left feeling stuffed. Everything was so tasty. I especially loved the baked beans and huge slice of sourdough. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the blood sausage. The texture was slightly mushy and it tasted a little iron-y. My girlfriend liked it though...I suppose it's an acquired taste. Our waiter was great. He was patient and very friendly even though the restaurant was really busy. This is an amazing brunch spot so you should definitely make it a point to grab breakfast/brunch here the next time you're in Bruges!

Daniela D.

Yelp
Came to this place while visiting Bruges because of all the amazing reviews. We went and although there was a small king outside, we were seated immediately because we were only a party of two. The staff were very kind and our food was served pretty quickly. Aside from the food being delicious, the building is very nicely decorated. Would highly recommend!!

Will D.

Yelp
Really good mimosas. Typically always busy so don't come here if you're in a rush... They typically always have a long wait unless you want to eat out in the back patio which is difficult to overcome the freezing weather at times. Attentive staff, very nice, seemed like they use fresh ingredients and products... Would definitely entertain coming back again.

Leelynn F.

Yelp
I wasn't sure what to expect after looking at the menu. It seems like pretty basic items, nothing too crazy. But even my simple English breakfast was delicious! The service was great, the people were super friendly and it was quick turnaround from when I ordered my food to when it was brought out. A great brunch spot. Not life changing food- as far as what I ordered- but would 100% recommend for good eats, good vibes, and excellent service.

Marc C.

Yelp
Really nice breakfast here on their nice patio. Food was delicious and service was great

Fa R.

Yelp
Very good option/Très bon choix! Arrive early/arrivez tôt. No reservations. Big lineup when we left at 9:45 am. We arrived at 9:10. Original and tasty plates./ Assiettes originales et savoureuses. I recommend it/ Je le recommande!

Natalie SeungYon H.

Yelp
Clean cute place - everything was a bit too salty (mushroom/ triple madame toast) or sweet (french toast) Coffee is good and the juice is all freshly squeezed and is wonderful! Good service as well :)

Julia W.

Yelp
This delicious gem is almost hidden on a side street, but anyone catching it is in for a great. They offer breakfast, savory, and sweet open-face sandwiches. Though the price does not reflect it, they are all gourmet. The menu is vegetarian and vegan friendly. The staff did not hesitate to remove all dairy products from the toast I ordered. They also have all milk alternatives (oat, almond, soy, coconut) which ensure that you can have a guilt-free coffee of your choice. I enjoyed an oat milk latte and was unexpectedly gifted with a Belgian waffle cookie on the side. Tip for solo diners: there is a table height eating bar on the right side just as you walk in. This table faces the window so that you can people watch or check out the gorgeous ornate architecture just across the way.

Smiti M.

Yelp
Very good, healthy breakfast option. A hidden gem in Bruges. Many vegetarian options and very filling! I had the vege plate which came with delicious mushrooms, two fried eggs, avocado, halloumi and tomato. I would definitely return on my next trip here. Despite coming at 9:30 am on a weekday, I didn't have to wait which was a plus! Great cappuccino as well served with a delicious little waffle cookie. Fast service too so I could get on with my sightseeing for the day.

Susy B.

Yelp
Loved it! Totally recommend it! Great ambience and service and the food is super delicious

Tracy S.

Yelp
Great breakfast choice here in Brugge. Creative and innovative menu with phenomenal presentation. A must while in Brugge.

Hannes T.

Yelp
Super sandwiches! If you wanna get away from the big tourist restaurant this is your place. Interesting

Jessica H.

Yelp
Adorable cafe and perfect for brunch! Got there around 9am on a weekday and had a brief 20 minute wait. The restaurant itself is littered with very cute decor and wall decals. The toast is amazing - huge and thick and soft. Among the four of us, we got the smokey, classic, triple madame, and mushroom one and all were heartily enjoyed. They also have some selection of sweet crepes and egg platters (more choices than some of the menus posted here). Def worth a visit!

Catherine E.

Yelp
A must visit for breakfast in Bruges. High quality ingredients, delicious combinations, and friendly staff. We had the Smokey and the classic toast combinations. Just delicious. Lots of avocado on each, we were so full! Really flavorful, and you can see all the fresh ingredients in the kitchen waiting to be cooked. They also bring you tap water without having to ask which is very rare in Europe!

Rose F.

Yelp
Wow! We had read the reviews and they were all five star so we figured we would give it a try on our last day in Bruge. That's Toast did not disappoint! I had the Smokey and my husband had the Triple French. I didn't want my breakfast to end, it was so good! The bread was outstanding, topped with a horseradish sauce, lettuce and a very generous helping of smoked salmon, avocado and capers. Delicious!! Hubby's looked amazing with three pieces of French toast topped with Nutella, bacon and pretzels. Yum! We also got the orange juice and the green apple mix. I would highly recommend for someone looking for something different.

Wade P.

Yelp
Beautiful, quaint little brunch spot! The food and coffee is amazing! Definitely do not skip this place!
