Stopped in on our way home from vacation and had a great much needed meal. The Bean burger and especially the Caesar salad was fantastic!

My first time in Fredericton and I had to go to Abbey Cafe! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, I love all the adorable animal artwork, the bright red chairs and benches and everything in between! They have a couple shelves where they carry some grocery type items, like specialty chocolate bars, Dandies marshmallows, nooch, vegan jerky and more! Prices are a little high but expected for specialty foods. They have a fridge with local soft drinks and Kombucha and also carry Butlers soy curls. They also have fresh baked goods like muffins, cookies and cakes. The menu is quite large as well offering wraps, cold and hot bowls and a few bits and bobs. I tried the pad Thai bowl and it was flavourful, filling and delicious. Portions are good! Definitely a new favourite of mine in such a beautiful city!

Nice and delicious food. They have beautiful art pieces on the wall... It's a low key place to hang out. They even have books to read and a study room you can use privately.

This charming vegetarian restaurant impressed us greatly upon our visit, which was based on the strong recommendation of our vegetarian friends. The cozy atmosphere adorned with captivating paintings from local artists added to the delightful experience. I opted for the Cajun chicken burrito, and I must say, it was a delightful surprise as it tasted just like real chicken. The portion size was ample, and the flavors were delectable. However, it's worth noting that they have limited indoor seating, which tends to fill up quickly, especially during weekdays at noon. Nevertheless, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. While the overall price might lean a bit towards the higher side, given that it's a vegetarian restaurant, I am thoroughly satisfied with the overall experience!

Decent, healthy food. I had the sweet potato wrap with Thai soup. Both were flavourful and good. My wife found her California Sushi Bowl a bit salty, but edible. Interesting art. Nice staff. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Worth investigating.

A great spot, especially if you are vegan, but even if you're not. I'm not vegan, but this place has such a wonderful vibe, flavourful selection of foods and snacks, and great snacks. With seating both upstairs and downstairs, it still gets busy during rush hour, so get there early if you're dining in. It's also one of the very few options in the city for those choosing not to eat meat, so thumbs up for diversity as well. I had a cappuccino and their coconut curry. Delicious and packed with ingredients, you certainly won't leave hungry.

Wonderful service and delicious vegan food with nice patio seating on a bustling street. Our server was super courteous and knowledgeable of the area. The food was served to us on three patio in a very reasonable time. They have a very good menu of filling and nutritious vegetarian food. We had the coconut curry and the cajun chick'n burrito with pumpkin spice chocolate chip cookies. Definitely recommend the place. We'll be back for sure!

I ordered myself the Garlic Tofu bowl. Have to say, I was blown away by how good it was. Great portion size, the meal left me feeling full but not over stuffed, price point was very fair and the staff was super friendly.

Yelp
Our visit here was perfect. Decor is simple, and yet interesting, with room to breathe and have a quiet conversation while being embalmed in colour from the art on the wall, much if it quite wonderful, and, I assume local. The lower level has more seating and art. Our coffee order was well made. We split a carrot cake which was rich in flavour, delicious. Service was perfect. Well done.

Yelp
This was a lovely unexpected find for us. We were checking out the Red Rover Cider House that shares the same space, and was pleasantly surprised that there was such a great vegetarian restaurant right next door! The service is absolutely lovely, with our server explaining things to us and making recommendations when we were stumped. We got the Green Goddess Cold Bowl and the Beet and Goat Cheese Paninis. Both were very substantial and filling. We also had a soup side with the panini and we tried their peanut soup (!! so interesting and good). My preference was for the panini since it was roasted until hot and gooey inside. It was a great meal to start off our exploration of Fredericton.

Yelp
I expected the food to be good, but they really surpassed my expectations. I had the sweet potato burrito and I don't say this lightly...it might have been the best burrito I've ever had. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted hours afterward. I wish I had a cafe like this where I live. Sadly, I was just visiting. I can't say anything bad about this experience. The chocolate cake was awesome as well. Maybe it's a good thing that I'm not local because I would probably spend too much money here. If I'm ever in the area again, I know where I'm eating.

Yelp
I'm so glad I had the chance to enjoy this café before leaving Fredericton. Only wish I would have found it sooner. Healthy and interesting food options to chose from, and a killer americano. I had the Spicy Pad Thai, which American spicy and Canadian spicy are on two totally different ends of the spectrum. It had a little kick, but not as spicy as Thai food in the states. Staff was friendly and helpful. Don't miss this little gem if visiting Fredericton!

Yelp
Hooray for great vegan food! Awesome burrito, nice soup. Really good vegan sour 'cream.'

Yelp
Very interesting! We sat at the table in the front window and order cider flights. The one thing I found strange is paying for moms coffee at a different counter. I did have issues with the smoke coming from the kitchen area, not sure the cause. The décor is definitely interesting and I love how they utilized the front window space - a must go to. The staff was fabulous and they support local artists so there is tons to look at while you are there. Next time we will try the food :)

Yelp
The menu at the Abbey is incredible. They have something for every craving and the prices are great! I really appreciated all of the different seating options, with tables for 2 in the back for more casual dining experiences, or ones in the front by the windows for something more relaxed, or the best of all, downstairs with the intimate lighting and surrounded in art. I was told by a friend that they also serve some of the best beers on tap.

Yelp
Decor is pretty nice. Fast service and friendly staff. I wouldn't call it flavorful but there was flavor. It was pretty satisfactory, I could eat more than one. I could taste the corn in the chips. Serving size could be bigger. Everything tasted very healthy. I could feel my body getting healthier with every bite. All the nutrients were present. Very wholesome meal. We sat by the fireplace....it was lit.. Not really but still looked good. Actually I checked and it seems to be artificially lit. It's pulsing.

Yelp
FYI I was going to a family reunion last week and called ahead because I have two vegan family members. I called the Abbey two days a haead of time to make an order for black bean brownies. They said to call the day off and they would make them. I called the day of and the girl who answered the phone said they weren't making them that day. I was so mad and not to mention when I got to pei my two cousins who are vegan asked where the brownies were! Not cool. This is the second poor customer service interaction I got from the Abbey

Yelp
I am so sad that I found this place just as I was moving away from Fredericton. Had I known about it earlier I would have visited it more often. Everything on the menu sounds amazing. The creative combinations of foods in their menu items make me want to try everything! A friend suggested we go for lunch there one day. I would have never known about it otherwise. My guess is that it is not very well known by many. It is in the old M&T Deli building. You have to go towards the back as it is tucked behind the Cider House. The menu has great options for vegan, and gluten-free eaters, but also for those that are not. I had the Abbey Hot Bowl with chicken. It was DELICIOUS! It came with a generous helping of chicken and goat cheese (which I appreciated!). It was a great meal, especially for the price. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. We were there on a Saturday afternoon so I expected it would be busier, but fortunately for us it was not.

Yelp
Innovative and interesting, with vegan, gluten-free and omnivore options. Great coffee too. The Abbey Hot bowl is recommended!

Yelp
I had Panini and Chai Latte here. Both of them are good. If they have large size of Chai Latte, that would be great!
