The 15 Best Hotels in Denver

"The Acoma House feels a bit like entering an eccentric family’s mansion, in which each of the creative kids has been tasked with decorating their own bedrooms. Every artist-designed room is totally unique in this converted historic building, which sits within strolling distance of some of the Mountain West’s greatest cultural institutions. The surrounding Golden Triangle Creative District is home to the city’s highest concentration of cultural institutions. If you plan to museum-hop, there are few better options than the Acoma: From the front door, you’re a five-minute walk to the Denver Art Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum, the Kirkland Institute of Fine & Decorative Art, the Center for Colorado Women’s History, and the History Colorado Center." - Megan Barber, Nicholas DeRenzo

Had a great stay at The Acoma House! The rooms are decorated so fun with different themes. Perfect location to walk all around downtown Denver. Tons of good food, coffee and drinks with in walking distance. The staff checked in with us daily make sure we had everything we needed. They provided complimentary waters, coffee and toiletry items. Would absolutely stay here again!

What a great little spot! It's downtown, and next to a bunch of museums and stuff to do. We were easily able to get an Uber to a show we saw at Meow Wolf and then caught a bicycle taxi on the way back! It’s also right next to a historic building with beautiful architecture and history. Within that building, is the Schoolyard Beer Garden and cafe - great food, drinks and coffee! The room was comfortable and fairly quiet. As an added bonus, it was gorgeous with the artwork and decor! We had everything we needed in the room and more! On top of it, service was great – they communicated very swiftly when we ran into a snag with parking – NOTE: The website mentions discounted parking for the lot right next to the hotel, but that has been shutdown for reconstruction. We were still able to find parking in the lot across the street, but we did not get a discount (just in case this matters to you)…but they made up for it by allowing a noon checkout and just being a great place overall! I’d definitely stay there again 😊

From the moment we stepped foot into our room, we loved it and the rest of the hotel. Its uniqueness was so charming and fun with all the artful touches. Though management was not an in person experience at the place, they do a very efficient job of communicating and accommodating. They were very helpful in any way we needed. The basement commons area was lovely too. One can store smaller pieces of luggage. Plus, there is a small conference room if a meeting space is needed. All in all it’s a great place to stay. We found it quiet and without distraction. The ac units are a bit noisy but it was fine. The location is good too. You can walk to a lot of places. The adjacent parking area is reasonably priced. It would be better if it were a more secure lot but roomy and convenient. Again, a really positive and fun experience overall and highly recommended. Plus, pretty damn reasonable for such a cool boutique hotel.

The Acoma House was the best choice we could have made for our one night stay in downtown Denver! So cute… so clean… so comfy! The colors are so vibrant and it’s overall just very aesthetically pleasing inside and out! Comfy bed and pillows. A deal on parking right next to the building. Bottles of water and toiletries provided. Reasonably priced. Ahh! I truly can’t say enough about how positive our experience was. The owners kindly accommodated our early check in request. It was our first time there, and we will for sure return! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

My Husband and I came here for a short getaway and we both enjoyed our stay at the Acoma house. We loved the fun artistry of the entire place. It was a good size room and had nice amenities included. Was also quiet and felt secure. We walked to most places or Uber’d so felt it was a good location for what we needed. We would both stay here again (in a different room to enjoy some more art) and would definitely recommend to others.

We were in town for 4 days and 3 nights to visit a friend and hit up the High Plains Comedy Festival, and chose The Acoma House because of the room layouts, connection to artists, and proximity to all things Denver. We loved it! It's right across the street from Schoolyard Beer Garden, a block from the Denver Art Museum, and just minutes to Union Station. I'm not a big hotel fan but I like the amenities of a hotel, if that makes sense. The room was stocked with plenty of towels, tissue, toilet paper, and soaps. Plus, there were multiple closets and carts in the hallways full of extra towels, water, coffee, and the softest blankets. The kitchen in our suite was stocked just like most home kitchens - with silverware, glassware, a coffeepot, a Keurig, a toaster, pots, and pans. There's even a dishwasher and ice cube trays in the freezer (honestly, this makes a difference). I get homesick when I'm on any trip but this place made everything so much easier and cozier. There's also plenty of natural light (room 206 has 4 big windows) and what must be blackout curtains in the bedroom. Loved it. The staff went above and beyond, texting to see if we'd like to schedule a room refresh and letting us know how to schedule one later if we needed it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Next time we're in Denver, well absolutely come back.

What a beautiful building. The artist concept is brilliant. A large living room that expands into the Kitchen with a a medium bar type of table and all appliances and all the utensils and dishes that you'd need. Large windows facing a outdoor eatery and brewery. The bedroom is good size with a large comfy bed and a closet. Plenty of outlets for charging, remember your cables. Off the bedroom was a bathroom with a tub/shower, a large mirror with counter-space for all your bathroom accessories. The shower/tub does suffer from water pressure issue. (very low) That is my only knock about the whole place. It is just a great suite. The location was pretty great for walking to a whole bunch of touristy destinations. You're only minutes away from other attractions if you want to rent scooters, bikes or hop in your vehicle. We used the parking lot right next to the Acoma House, with a special price for Acoma customers.
