Incredibly accepting queer bar, with great drinks options and a small hot food menu. The atmosphere is great, and it's a great place to chill after a long day.

I know a load of locals that have all recommended this place. The Actors pub. This is a nice pub with really friendly staff. So if you are looking for a safe place and a LGBTQIA, this is a place for you This is a good place to work with lovely staff and coffee....💃🏼📝💼

LOVEEEEEE this pub. I work round the corner and it’s great to have a queer friendly, diverse and vibey place to drop in on my way home. The staff have always been so friendly and welcoming, with the added bonus of live music and theatre. The dream. Please pass on my thanks to the team! You’re appreciated.

Visited The Actors to watch '12th Night' & booked a table for some food which was tasty and plentiful jerk meal had a kick and the stilton/spinach mac was amazing! Great wine choice and staff friendly & efficient. Hope to swing by next time I visit Brighton! Cheers 🍻

Messed me around for weeks over a booking a space and then on the 7th time I chased told me they'd taken a booking from someone else. I kept trying because it's a special queer space and the event was really important to me, but now left with no time to find anywhere new and have had to cancel. It may just be chronic disorganisation but it leaves a feeling that there's an inner circle of people who are prioritised. I've experienced double bookings before on a smaller scale and this experience has just left such a bitter taste.

Had such a great Friday night here. Lovely staff and the patrons were just so.... nice. Didn't eat here but I'm looking forward to going back next time I'm in town.

I was recommended this venue by somebody else as the staff and patrons were extremely friendly. I won't rate you on the patrons but the staff looked glum and I felt like an inconvenience when it came to getting served. It's a shame because the beer was good!

This was one of my favourite pubs in brighton... I have been a punter at this pub for over 10 years. The energy has always had a good, warm friendly party atmosphere. Not last Saturday... I walked up to the bar & very happy with a smile simply said "Hi Shane - how are you?" I'd like to quote the following greeting by Shane working behind the bar... "I don't know what's going on with you but I'm not in the mood. I don't know you & I want you to calm down" To which my response was "oh I'm very sorry Shane usually you're the life of the party and quite happy to see me. I'm sorry my energy is so high. I actually have ADHD." The manager of the bar quickly realised that I'm not in any way intoxicated as I am drinking a non-alcoholic drink and I am not on any drugs. I came to talk to the manager about how antagonistic his bar staff is & they just said the following ... "I have to make sure my staff feel protected" Okay but from what a punter with a smile & in a good mood? There was no apology, just a complete distain for both me and my friend after that. Your treatment of me was just shameful. I'm so unhappy it really was one of my favourite pubs in Brighton.. but no longer I'll never grace your pub with my presence again. Good luck treating happy customers like that! Oh, I'd like to add that the entire bar completely stunk of weed and the staff being stoned particularly Shane was probably the reason I was greeted in such a disgusting manner.
