It was in a really good location, close to Baker street. Clean. Good service. Good price. I like how the steakhouse and coffee shop are connected. The happy hour sangria is a good price and delicious- the server brought it up to my room at no extra charge. Since it’s downtown there’s some outside noise but was still able to get a good nap and sleep in. Oh and I like that it has an a/c unit!

Great experience all around! The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating, Ashley in specific was amazing. The hotel is in an awesome spot, there's a coffee shop and steakhouse right underneath which are fantastic and there's a sports bar that we didn't check out but I'm sure it was also great. Lots of super cool shops around too, I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for somewhere fun to stay in Nelson! Thanks for such a great stay guys!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adventure Hotel — Nelson, BC The Adventure Hotel has an outstanding reputation, and now I can see why. When unforeseen circumstances forced my brother and me to reschedule our trip, General Manager Rob Little handled the situation with professionalism, understanding, and true care for his guests. It’s less common these days to find customer service that feels both accommodating and genuinely thoughtful, but that’s exactly what we experienced here. It’s clear that Rob and his team set the tone for the Adventure Hotel’s excellent reputation in Nelson and beyond. Within the motorcycle community, this spot is already considered a must-visit destination — and their commitment to guests only reinforces that. I’m looking forward to my visit, knowing I’ll be in such capable and welcoming hands. THANK YOU ROB!

Cool character hotel 1 block off Baker St and close to everything downtown. The hotel was clean, pet friendly and it was really convenient having a coffee shop (great coffee and food), sports bar and a steakhouse in it. Great happy hours and the food was pretty good too. Hit the first half at the sport at for $5.75 craft beer on tap and the second half at the steakhouse for half price cocktails 😁 Free parking at the back but only about 11 spots so grab one when it's open and hang onto it. Easy to do if you are just checking out the town like we did, everything is walkable. Don't expect champagne for beer prices, but it met our needs and we would definately stay again.

We had our 60th birthday party there on July 12, and it was the best! Unbelievable service, food, venue, and lodging. The whole staff is amazing! They made everything so great! We are regulars there normally, and we knew it was a great place, but the experience we had with the Adventure hosting our event went above and beyond. Thank you Rob, Graham, Scott, and the whole team.

They screwed us. Total scam. Deception. Fraud. We show up and they placed us in a room 106 right over their loud karaoke 9-12pm in the bar downstairs. We couldn't enjoy a quiet stay or watch tv. They couldn't move us because the hotel was sold out. I'm waiting for a 100% refund but we are screwed. We can't possibly rebook anything at this hour elsewhere. Worse, Expedia customer service didn't make it right. They scammed us too. What a wonderful world this is.

Google
Very disappointed in the hotel telling us on check-in that our room was located above the bar with Karaoke until midnight. Too late to change hotels, no compensation, no other rooms available. When I emailed customer service they said they would have waved cancellation fee and we could have found a new hotel. Why were we not told ahead of time, the hotel had been booked over a month and a half out!

Great stay in the heart of downtown Nelson! The location is unbeatable — everything from restaurants and cafes to shops is just a short walk away. The hotel is simple, clean, and affordable, which makes it a great choice for anyone visiting the area. The staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. If you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss place to stay in Nelson, this is a solid option. Would definitely stay again!

Yelp
What a nice surprise. Room was great. Air conditioning spot on. Cool bunk bed. Perfect location and the attached coffee shop open at 6! What else do you need?!

Yelp
Perfect spot to relax and call a temporary bed while enjoying skiing or other outdoor activities around Nelson. I stayed in the budget room, had no concerns for fancy or extra space. The small washroom was clean, just enough area for storage and the mattresses were comfortable. Shower room down the hall was just right as well. Be aware, with the budget room, there is no access to the sauna or gym... although free coffee in the lounge was present and decent. Staff were friendly, the coffee shop knows how to pull a good shot, food was great in the downstairs restaurant...

Yelp
Pretty upset. Booked a room and when I checked in the manager said they were very vacant cause of covid. When I saw my room had no bathtub i asked to switch rooms and he told me I would have to pay for BOTH rooms if I wanted to switch even though the hotel is mostly vacant....super lame

Yelp
A unique find in the BC interior. Obviously renovated recently - front desk told us 3 years ago but looks like this year! Rooms are very modern and funky. The restaurant is fantastic as well - great selection of small plates and regional wines. Only problem is no elevator, you must ascend from the lobby up at least one floor to get to the rooms; not a problem for us but a little challenging for one of our group with a fractured pelvis. Not the property's fault! Also, great independent coffee shop next door for your morning beverage before setting out again. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Wonderful stay!!! Would highly recommend. Rooms and shared washroom were clean and spacious. Comfortably fit 3 people. Shared dining room and patio were comfortable and had lots of amenities. Front desk was polite and very informative.

Yelp
The worst service I have ever received in regards to nightime entry. "Polly" couldn't have been more combative - my friend wanted to use the facilities. I won't be back as long as she is in employed by the hotel. I work in guest service, and she was an absolute fail. The hotel is centrally located and the beds are comfy :). The walls are unfortunately thin... I heard Polly laughing/talking every hour on the hour - not to mention my upstairs neighbours. J

Yelp
Great hotel for the price. Very clean. Comfortable bed with 4 pillows on it. Location great Good food and drinks downstairs. Very friendly staff. Will stay again.

Yelp
We had a great stay at the Adventure Hotel. We stayed two nights, as this was our rest day, bicycling the International Selkirk Loop. We had nothing but great service at the hotel, but the sports bar down stairs where we had dinner one night? It could use some work. Not all, but our waitress was slow as molasses. The final straw that earned her a smaller tip? At the end of dinner I asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fifteen minutes later, (in a mostly empty bar), I asked another waitress if she would ask our waitress if she found the cow yet. But the hotel is very nice. Clean rooms, nicely decorated, and quality bedding and linens. We'd stay again.

Yelp
I found the staff to be perhaps the friendliest and most helpful in any place I have stayed the last year. I love this place. Clean, modern, updated and perfectly located right in the heart of downtown Nelson. Prices are incredibly reasonable. For us, it was easy to go spartan and simple. Our time spent here was out of the room, wandering the streets, eating and drinking and using Adventure Hotel as a base between backpacking trips. We opted for the small bunk rooms. Sure, tiny room, but super-cheap, clean, nice TV, good view out the window and A/C (which was welcome during a rare BC heat wave). The staff was eager and happy to recommend eateries, etc. Never got one whiff of indifference from them. Highly recommended. We love Nelson and the Adventure Hotel only made the stay more special. It makes me shudder to think that we almost pulled the trigger on paying nearly 200 bucks for a room at the Best Western until we found the Adventure Hotel at nearly 1/3rd the price.
