The restaurant is a great introduction to African food and cocktails. They have a set menu or around sixteen dishes, so you get to sample a wide variety. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it. The service was very friendly and they even do a African song for you. Well worth a visit.

This was the first family meal we had in Cape Town, and we definitely enjoyed it. The food is brought out style so the entire table enjoys each dish. There was soooo much food, and all very tasty. This surely gives you a taste of Africa and I'm glad this was our first meal out. Once you've tried all the dishes you can request more of your favorites and they bring them out fresh. While eating the restaurant servers come and perform, they sing and play drums which is quite the experience!! My most memorable dish was the springbok (an animal similar to the impala). The bread similar to naan was also very good, served with a tasteful green sauce. I'd recommend this for a first meal to kick off the Cape Town celebration if traveling.

What an amazing experience. The restaurant is located in an old heritage house. The bathroom is the old bathroom. The dining is in one of the old rooms with tasteful decoration from African themed wall paint to township metal art and recycled chandeliers. It is super cozy. There's one menu and you get a bit of everything. 15 international African dishes and they were all cooked to perfection. It was a unique and fantastic experience. There are many vegetarian dishes and some meat. My meat-lover friend said "if this vegetarian food was cooked in a restaurant next to me I could become vegetarian". The live African music in between was fantastic and immersive. The drinks were fruity cocktails with an African touch from freshly pressed juice or wine from the region. Our server George was super nice and accommodating. Completely forgot the time there. On the table next to us a couple was sitting who weren't that fluent in English, so the server spoke french with them. If you have the chance, free up your evening, skip your lunch and make a reservation. I'd go again today, if I wasn't still full from all the delicious foods.

Very nice location, quite colorful displaying some nice art. The food is a set menu which takes you through the gorgeous cuisine of Africa. If you are still hungry afterwards, you can order your favorite ones again. Between the courses the service staff performs some singing (not really necessary from my point of view, little touristy but ok). One star less, because we would have loved to get some more background to the dishes instead of just serving them and telling us what is displayed on the menu anyway. Service was good, but did not seem to be very passionate. However, for the delicious food and location a recommendation.

Do it! Nice experience...You get something from all the spits, so that in the end you are more than just full. This is rounded off by small vocal interludes. A typical tourist restaurant, but recommendable. The price is approximately 25 Euro

So this place is just special. Come with an empty stomach and then you must try their 16 course menu for only 210 Zar - just amazing! And they dance and sing and paint your face, this is just a nice experience!

This place is just awesome! The food is extraordinarily delicious, the short music performance of the staff was breathtaking! Even the plates were real pieces of art! Six stars!
