The African Tulip

We have stayed two nights at Africa Tulip, one day after our long flights from Canada and the other night after our 7days Safari.||This is perfect place to rest relax and get ready for long journeys. Staff are all very nice and accommodating. Rooms and facilities are very clean and in good condition. Location is good if you want to City walk Arusha (you will need guide for that). Most important, the restaurant at Africa Tulip is great. All 5kids said that they have the best food for our trip.||Highly recommended!

The African tulip was our first stop after flying in to JRO for our safari. Great interiors, very well decorated, super clean & safe. The room we stayed was very very cozy and good size. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The lounge & dinner area is really nice. Food was excellent! Very well managed gem in Arusha. We spent a day on our return flight as well and experienced the same level of service.

The property and staff are top notch! I brought a large group to stay for three nights and everything went smoothly. Rukaiya was very helpful in coordinating our stay. The restaurant, bar, and gift shop were all great, as well as all of the staff.

Staying at “The African Tulip” was one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, we were greeted by friendly, attentive staff and owner, Susan. This was greatly welcomed after several days of international flights, and again after we completed our six day safari and before flying to Zanzibar. You can tell the staff at the African Tulip truly cares about making each guest feel right at home.||The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a cozy, intimate atmosphere that feels both upscale and personal. The bar and food options were excellent — from local wine and beer offerings to delicious, locally inspired dishes, everything was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. Whether we were enjoying lunch by the pool or a relaxing drink in the evening, every experience felt comfortable and special.|We also loved the on-site gift shop, which offered a carefully curated selection of local crafts and souvenirs. It was the perfect place to pick meaningful gifts and mementos.||This boutique hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, charm, and personalized service. If you’re looking for a more intimate and character-filled alternative to large resorts, this is the place to stay. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Beautiful hotel and very comfortable - a great place to start out your safari or Kilimanjaro climb and to return to afterward. Spotlessly clean and beds were very comfortable. Also, their online representative, Benjamin, was super helpful, very friendly and provided great advice.

We had the pleasure of staying at the African Tulip both before and after our six-day safari in the Serengeti—a wonderful bookend to an unforgettable adventure.||From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They were always attentive, courteous, and eager to help with anything we needed.||A special mention must also go to Susan, the owner, whose warmth and graciousness infuse the entire atmosphere of the hotel.||We highly recommend it and would absolutely return! The stay at the African Tulip was welcoming and relaxing. Susan made sure we had everything that we needed. I especially enjoyed walking some of the hotel to look for birds. The staff were also very welcoming. Would stay again!

Tulip was the perfect starting and ending point of our Safari!|They were truly accommodating, explained what to expect whilst on Safari, Great little shop and restaurant to enjoy all our meals.
