The African Tulip

I am writing a 5 star review before even stepping on the property. The reason being is that I booked through Benjamin. And Benjamin did an amazing job of taking care of me as I booked a room. ||Benjamin took a full half hour to video walk me through the property and show me a few of the rooms, the pool area, the restaurant, etc. The place is beautiful by the way. Rarely do you get this kind of service, especially for something as simple as a booking. It truly helped in my decision process of which accommodation to choose. Well done! Truly looking forward to seeing the property in person.

I loved the hotel and the people there so much. Everyone was friendly and outgoing, I felt right at home after several long flights. The food was good and the best part was meeting Benjamin after emailing back and forth for a couple months, it was like meeting a new friend. I will definitely stay again when I'm in Arusha.

The African Tulip hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and kind. We went to Tanzania for our honeymoon and they had our room decorated with rose petals and really spoiled us for our stay. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing and they were able to arrange drivers for us to explore the city of Arusha. Would highly recommend staying at the African Tulip for your time in Arusha!

Spent our first two nights here and it was a perfect location to recover from air travel and kick start our African safari adventure. Room was spacious and well appointed.|Hotel staff was always there to assist before you asked. Dining room was quiet and food was great. Thought drinks in the lounge were smaller than usual, but tasty. Porters cared for luggage as there is no elevator. Would defiantly stay here again

Family of 4 (kids age 14 and 10) stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our safari. This allowed us to get over jet lag with a first day of low key activities in Arusha, then a day at Arusha NP and Ngiresi village. When we arrived at 11pm, they offered to make us dinner even though the restaurant had long been closed. The first of so many examples of excellent service we encountered in Tanzania. We appreciated the offer but were ready for sleep 😊 When we did finally eat, breakfast and dinner buffets were good, and they packed very nice boxed lunches for our day in Arusha NP. Our stay was very comfortable; hotel was very clean, with nice furnishings and decor. Wi-Fi was reliable throughout. At the end of our trip, we also stayed for a few hours in “day rooms” while in transit to our homebound flight. Our safari was with Roy Safaris, who owns this hotel – we found them to be a very well run operation, with people who care about the business providing friendly service. We would happily stay here again.

The rooms are comfortable, the staff are kind and helpful, and the food is excellent. We especially appreciated that they had a bubbler with clean water in each room rather than just a complementary water bottle. Everything is set up very well.

Great location in Arusha. Clean and spacious rooms. Welcoming and friendly staff. Buffet had multiple options but we preferred ordering from the menu. Felt very safe and comfortable

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful, large rooms, great food and especially amazing personal service! They attended to some special needs I have to with so much care and so kindly and attentively.
