The Alverton Hotel

Had amazing stay here. Room was spotlessly clean & had everything we needed. Beds very comfy & it was nice & quiet. Food was fantastic for evening meal, breakfast was good & there was alot included in the price. Staff were so friendly & so well mannered, nothing was too much trouble. Loved it all. Definitely recommend staying here.

Food and service in the bar and restaurant are excellent, but room 8 needs some TLC. Too many issues to list in full here, although the draughty windows and the thermostatic valve on the radiator are probably the most important as we couldn't regulate the room temperature. It was cold when the curtains were open and too hot at night.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get married at this gorgeous venue last year and we could not sing their praises enough! Our wedding coordinator Clare and the rest of the team really did turn our wedding day vision into a reality! They were there every step of the way during the planning process and on the day itself. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they all went above and beyond in every aspect of the day. The communication throughout was a breeze which made the planning that much less stressful. We were also completely sold on the menu choices and of course the cocktails and they really didn’t disappoint! To everyone at the Alverton.. You are all impeccable in everything that you do and we are so grateful to have had our dream wedding in the most beautiful venue with the best team by our side.

Thank you all at the Alverton for another fabulous Christmas party night. Every member of the Alverton team contributes to make these occasions so good. I would like to thank Sally and Clare for your Patience, you were both amazing! The rooms I have to say are perfect, I have always had a lovely nights sleep as the beds are comfortable and snuggly. Thank you all again.

It's not just the incredible great hall, immaculate grounds and beautiful sun terrace that make The Alverton such a special place, but the fantastic staff who looked after us and made our day run so smoothly. ||Claire especially was brilliant to work with and her communication from the moment we first met was exemplary. We had no doubt that Claire, Sally and the team would have everything under control so we could relax and enjoy the day. Nothing was too much to ask and they really did go above and beyond to make our dream day come true. ||The Alverton will always have a special place in our hearts and we would highly recommend booking the venue for your wedding... we would do it all over again if we could!||Thank you again to everyone at The Alverton.

Had my surprise 40th birthday meal here and it was wonderful . The party was in The Oak room which was perfect. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble . Big thank you to Alex for rescuing my balloon of the ceiling. Would highly recommend The Alverton.

Attended for a 40th birthday party which was lovely. The venue was very helpful with planning and organising the event and nothing was too much trouble . We had the event in The Oak Room which was perfect . The venue is beautiful and the staff are very attentive. Would highly recommend.

We were passing through Truro and it got to lunch time. We decided to eat in the restaurant before setting home. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The set menu was very reasonably priced considering the location. I thought it would have cost more. The food was freshly preprared, and they were prompt with serving. I would definitely recommend their restaurant.
