Really enjoyed our stay at the newly renovated Alyth Hotel. We stayed in the Isla suite and really liked the stylish mid-century modern styling touches. The room was very comfortable with a nice king size bed and modern TV. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was good. Would recommend!!

Room very comfortable and recently updated. Alasdair, the owner was very welcoming. Although the kitchen is not open on Monday and Tuesday there are plenty eating places nearby, and you are allowed to bring "takeaway" meals into the bar area.||The breakfasts were first class, and probably HH and one of the best breakfast menus I have ever experienced. Everything is cooked freshly!||Parking nearby is plentiful and free, however if parking in the town square you are restricted to 72 hours.||

A hidden gem. Can't praise it enough. Brilliantly designed hotel with a splendid restaurant. Excellent full English breakfast to set you up for a day's hiking, and the restaurants evening meals are really high quality. Staff are really friendly too. Stayed two nights and will certainly be coming again.

Alyth is a wee bit off the beaten track, but a very good centre to explore Angus and that part of Scotland. The Alyth hotel has recently been completely renovated, and the rooms are very comfortable. The owner, Alasdair, is very welcoming and made of our two night stay comfortable. Although the restaurant is not open on Monday and Tuesday evenings you are very welcome to have your "takeaway" in the restaurant area. There are other eating places nearby. The breakfast menu is on probably one of the best I have experienced and everything is freshly cooked. There is plenty free parking adjacent to the hotel, but in the main square this is restricted to 72 hours. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed for one night on an 'itison' deal. Staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't have done more for us. I would say we have high food standards and the fish and chips we had were exceptionally good, the batter was light and crispy, large portion size, hot and delicious! Prices of food and drink were very reasonable, especially the whisky which was very well priced indeed! Thanks again, we will be back!

Last minute decision on a Sunday evening for a table for four was an excellent choice. Warm welcome and friendly service. We had starters and mains and were not disappointed. The poached salmon was particularly good with a generous portion. Enjoyed the cask beer: Hopping Special Amber Ale. Perfect opportunity to catch up with friends.

If you are looking for somewher to have a special meal for a special occasion then this is the place for you! The lounge is a very relaxed, although formal looking, place to eat. Sumptiously decorated, you'll immediatly feel at home here! If a pub is more your style then head through to the bar which has its own street enterence & you'll find a dart board, pool table, juke box and TV that shows all major sporting events. This is also a hotel, so if your looking for somewhere to stay, this really can offer it all!
