The Alyth Hotel

Stayed a night here recently as part of a golf trip to the area. The Hotel is very well decorated and furnished to a high standard. My room on the 1st Floor was spacious with a comfortable bed and warm, which was appreciated after golfing in the rain! The en-suite shower was excellent unlike many I have had in the past.||We ate in the restaurant in the evening. The menu was extensive and the food good. Good variety of reasonably priced wines and a large selections of malt whiskies including some unusual ones. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent.||The young staff were very friendly and helpful and had obviously been very well trained. |   |Excellent value for the high quality of product. Loved the recently refurbished room. Great style and a super comfy bed. The restaurant served some of the most delicious food I have tasted in a long time. Breakfast was great too. Staff were superb. Overall a fantastic stay. I would definitely return, especially to the restaurant.

We were visiting Alyth for a family party so the hotel was a perfect location for us. The room itself was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and powerful shower. However, service at breakfast was terrible, the waitress seemed to be in a world of her own, able to only take an order from one table then return to the kitchen with it, wait for their food to be cooked, serve it to the relevant table then take the next order. There was no offer of coffee or toast or milk or sugar. It definitely influenced our opinion of the hotel.

Loved our 2 night stay here in Sep 2025. We didn’t know the village or hotel and took a chance based on the great price and the look of the rooms on the website. We were delighted with it. The hotel has been refurbished very tastefully, the staff are lovely, the bed was comfy, the food was great and we loved the location. All at a very competitive price. We plan to come back very soon.

Short break last minute. Totally exceeded expectations. Lovely hotel, room was spotless, fresh and spacious. Dinner was amazing, great vegetarian options (and non-vegetarian). Breakfast the next morning was also wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

Stayed for 1 night while on a golf trip. Had a v comfortable suite on the top floor with a view of the town square. Bed was large and comfy; the shower was powerful and the toiletries were high quality. The breakfast was top class too with plenty of choice for cooked and a nice selection of cereals, juices and fruit / yoghurt. A great find..

Don't expect a chain hotel approach. Instead you get marvellous rooms, lovely food and engaging local staff. We really enjoyed our three nights. Just ask politely if unsure and the results will surprise you

A lovely place to stay. Friendly staff, good customer service and bar food, breakfasts were very enjoyable. Nice view overlooking the stream running through the town. Easy parking on the road outside the hotel.

If you are looking for somewher to have a special meal for a special occasion then this is the place for you! The lounge is a very relaxed, although formal looking, place to eat. Sumptiously decorated, you'll immediatly feel at home here! If a pub is more your style then head through to the bar which has its own street enterence & you'll find a dart board, pool table, juke box and TV that shows all major sporting events. This is also a hotel, so if your looking for somewhere to stay, this really can offer it all!
