The Amala Boutique Retreat

What a lovely peaceful hideaway, The Amala is. Hidden from the busy world outside the walls, the peace & quiet was amazing. The Villa was great, had everything we could have asked for, a lovely pool, well-appointed bedroom and ample outdoor space to relax. Being upgraded was a bonus too.|The dining/cocktail area was a bit small. The meals were of good quality.|We enjoyed a massage as part of our package. The staff from all areas were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

We had such a lovely stay at The Amala Boutique Retreat in Seminyak! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The villas are beautiful—quiet, comfortable, and full of little thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and we loved the small personal touches like the “word of the day” at each setting. The Amala really feels like a peaceful, boutique retreat. If you’re looking for somewhere to recharge, relax, and just enjoy Bali at a slower pace, this is a great spot.

The Amala Boutique Retreat is the perfect place to stay for a solo/couple or even a family. I found this place in luxury escapes and it did not disappoint at all! Everything was perfect, from the beautiful scenery, the amazing staff, the incredible healthy food and drinks, right down to the most comfortable bed possible! |The staff are more than happy to help accommodate with your needs and anything else you may need help with.|I had a solo 10 day stay in this beautiful place. They have their very own spa treatments onsite, which are to die for and the ladies are amazing, added bonus is they treat you like you are a queen! (or king) Very highly recommend to stay here for your trip to Bali.

Our stay at The Amala was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — warm, genuine, and welcoming. It truly felt like home, like being surrounded by family. We stayed at The Amala for the first five days of our honeymoon, then left to stay elsewhere. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at the other place, so we returned to The Amala at the end of our honeymoon — and it was the best decision we made. The team welcomed us back with open arms and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and cared for. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Every staff member showed such kindness, care, and attention to detail. The food was absolutely amazing, and we honestly cannot fault this place in any way. The Amala will always hold a special place in our hearts. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding service, comfort, and a truly memorable stay. We stayed at the Amala in September 2025 and it was lovely and peaceful, we had an excellent time. The food was sensational, fresh and with lots of choices. The people were really friendly and welcoming. Our own pool was a real treat and something we very much enjoyed. We were able to walk to lots of places nearby and explore. The trip was relaxing and we enjoyed the space, it was an tranquil oasis in a chaotic location.

My stay at Amara in Seminyak exceeded every expectation—what a gem! From the second I stepped through the door, the staff’s genuine hospitality made me feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a helpful tip for hidden beach spots or the best local warungs, and even arranged a last-minute spa appointment for me effortlessly. The location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute stroll to the soft sands of Seminyak Beach and within walking distance of trendy cafes, boutiques, and nightlife—perfect for balancing relaxation and exploration. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated with a cozy, tropical vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the private balcony with a small seating area became my favorite spot for morning coffee. The bathroom had lush toiletries and a powerful shower, adding little touches of luxury. The pool area was a serene oasis—clean, quiet, and surrounded by greenery, with plush sunbeds that made lazy afternoons feel like a luxury. And the breakfast? Fresh, varied, and delicious—whether I opted for the Indonesian nasi goreng or a classic avocado toast, it never disappointed. I can’t recommend Amara enough for anyone visiting Seminyak. It’s the ideal blend of convenience, comfort, and warm service. I’ll definitely be coming back!The only sad thing was that our room was nearby the busy road, very nosiy.

14 days at the AMALA ~ We LOVED:|• The friendly & welcoming restaurant staff – they are ALL AMAZING – too many|to mention individually but they made our stay so enjoyable.|• The housekeeping teams – always did a GREAT JOB servicing our Villa.|• The Administration team – Lovely to meet Eka and the reception team – very|efficient & always professional & helpful. ESPECIALLY when helping me to|make my husband’s birthday so much fun, with the fabulous bed decoration &|organising his special favourite dessert with candles & the staff singing ‘happy|birthday’. He felt very spoilt & happy. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

An oasis of calm on a busy intersection in Seminyak but you’d never know it! The 2 bed villa was amazing with our own private pool and was cleaned every day and sprayed with mozzy deterrent in the evening. The staff were ALL amazing and nothing was too much trouble. A great choice for breakfast and we ate in the villa a couple of times. We also enjoyed the massages in the spa!
