The Amala (Seminyak, Bali) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Seminyak isn’t exactly synonymous with seclusion, given its reputation as Bali’s mecca of upmarket tourism. The Amala undercuts that stereotype; these twelve private villas are serviced by butlers, which, it hardly needs to be said, is not exactly the norm around here. This level of service extends to the chefs, nutritionists and wellness experts that compose the rest of the resort’s staff. With all this one-on-one contact it’s easy to forget the bustling scene elsewhere around Seminyak." - Tablet Hotels

My husband and I stayed in the Spa Villa here and had an amazing experience! The villa felt spacious, with the floor-to-ceiling glass doors making it feel like we could experience the outside from in our room. Our pool was always kept clean and the greenery around the pool area was beautiful. The only con was that there was a gap between the sliding door and the floor, so it would let some of the cool air out, but the temperature was fine our entire stay. I was worried that with the small gap that bugs would get in, but the hotel does a good job of keeping bugs at bay both in the rooms and throughout the resort. There are mosquito repellant coils around the property and you're provided with bug spray in the room as well as a mosquito net on the bed.||The staff was excellent and we always felt well cared for. Whenever we passed through the lobby to go out, they offered complimentary shuttle service if we were traveling within the area and it was available. I have a severe nut allergy and I felt that it was taken very seriously. Whenever we ate at the restaurant, I was always confident that my meal would be safe for me to eat. The staff at the spa was also very attentive to our needs. We used the spa services quite a bit during our stay. My husband hurt his calf and ask that it be avoided during the massage. The next time we went back, they made sure to double check if it was still hurt and if it should be avoided.||Overall, the staff, amenities and overall beauty of the property made this stay so memorable for us and we will be staying here next time we come to visit

We stayed at the Amala for 3 nights, in a 2 bedroom estate with a large private pool. The “room” was a large open area with kitchenette, dining and living spaces, and 2 enclosed bedroom, each with their own luxury bathroom and outdoor shower. ||The staff was very nice and accommodating. We chose to eat mostly in the immediate area but used their shuttle to take us to another part of town. ||We had the breakfasts included, and, oh what a breakfast it was! It’s ala Carte, and you get to choose from different selections or daily specials. Of especial note was the Happy Morning smoothie bowl. ||Truly a luxurious stay, not to be soon forgot. ||About the only negative was that every mosquito in a mile radius seemed to bite me. The staff was very good about spraying, and the rooms had netting, but I get bit everywhere I go.

After being welcomed by our driver at the always busy Denpasar Airport with his superb driving skills navigating through the mass of cars, SUV’s not to mention the motorbikes, we arrived at The Amala. WOW it was great to be here! The happy welcoming staff at reception (Marvella and Alvin) - everything was organised, refreshing welcome drink, cold towels then we were taken to our Villa.||It’s our third visit and we had a 2 bedroom Villa again with the huge pool, enclosed garden, huge undercover outdoor lounge/dining area - it was as if we had never left! We were here to relax and it certainly didn’t take long. As mentioned last year the rooms are cleaned daily, with a late afternoon turndown service to set the mosquito coils outside and the canopy over the bed to keep you comfortable. The main pool and individual pools as well as the gardens are all cleaned and maintained, all done in a friendly, no hassle but efficient way.||The breakfasts and dinners are still amazing : delicious and beautifully presented and the wait staff are happy to help you with any requests. A big thank you to Eka, Ayu, Manik, Yuni, Evi, Ari, Sintya and Winzu for your great service and wonderful smiles (and delicious cocktails!).||The Tula Wellness Spa was a fantastic experience, very relaxing ambience. Desi, Ari, Ana and Tari were our masseuses who were absolutely delightful - great technique with smooth, deft fingers that relaxed but found those tricky knots in your muscles, you feel superb afterwards!||Thank you Eka, Amala’s Resort Manager, for another wonderful holiday in your fabulous resort. Can I highly recommend this “Oasis” in Seminyak. We’ll be back to see you again next year!

Me and my wife stayed at The Amala and it was wonderful. We booked the Spa Villa which had a private pool and an outdoor bath and shower. The bedroom had A/C and was fairly cool. The bed itself had a bug net for any potential bugs that may get in although we did not see many bugs during our stay. It seems like they do a good job with reducing the amount of bugs around the area. They also provide bug repellents just in case. They have a mini fridge which was stocked with still, sparkling and coconut water as well as a small jar of cookies. They restock the fridge every day during room service. Our booking included complimentary breakfast as well as an option for a floating breakfast in our villa for an additional fee. ||The staff were very attentive and helpful. They were always willing to help with anything you needed and also had their own driver in case you needed to go somewhere around the area. This is based on availability of course so you can ask them if there is a driver available. ||The resort itself is very nice and had a good amount of amenities. They had a small fitness center, pool, wellness center and you can also book spa services and cooking class. The ambiance for the whole resort is very aesthetic so there is a lot of nice photos opportunities. It isn't too far from the downtown area but you will need a Gojeck or Grab (their version of Uber/Lyft) or their driver if it's available. ||Overall the experience was wonderful and definitely would recommend coming here

We had an amazing stay at The Amala! The room was beautiful with a private pool. The cleaners came everyday but always came when we were out and about so they didn’t disturb. All the staff were lovely, really friendly and very helpful. I got bali belly on the last night and the hotel driver took me down to the medical centre immediately, waiting for me all night until I was able to leave! Would highly recommend. Amazing people and a beautiful place’

Such a beautiful place. The staff are amazing. Our pool villa was fantastic. We experienced a cooking class and market visit with the chef. Wow that was great. The meals can be in your villa which we did most days. This place is just down the road to wonderful eateries and shops. Thank-you The Amala for a wonderful experience.

Location is superb.Service is very good. However, the in villa pool is in poor condition, safety issue especially with kid. Sharp end, tiles are movable, luckily no one get cut. Pool should stated the depth for safety purpose. After log in complaint, the management Resort Manager immediately meet and do recovery service and personally check the engineering repair on spot and rectify by same day.Pure heart hospitality and professionalism shown by a leader.Body massage, and facial are amazing.Foot massage best to improve. Love the menu concept in ADD, small portions and healthy food so we can order more and try different items.Thank you
