The Ambassador

It was a one night stay at The Ambassador, Churchgate, Mumbai. My stay was pleasant. The hotel has a nice, old world appearance and is located very well; the well known Marine Drive is just a stone's throw away. The staff are polite, courteous and helpful. The food too is good and the rooms are large and spacious. The only shortcoming from my point of view was that the roof top revolving restaurant which was a major attraction some years ago is closed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The ambiance was fabulous and the food was delicious and splendidly prepared and presented by their Head Chef, Mr. Sundeep.|We were very well looked after by all the staff. A special word of thanks to Mr. Rahul and Ms. Varsha Sakhale, Sales & Mktg. Manager who went out of her way to make everything perfect for us..

This was our third visit to the amazing hotel. The staff sympathetically compliment this wonderfully appointed regal building. Whilst it is only to be expected to have high quality staff at 4 star hotels and I usually try not to dwell on this aspect, I have to take time out to just mention the genuinely warm service dispelled by all the staff we came into contact with. |One point we experienced on this stay, worth a mention, is the room service menu. We had the Ambassador special (non veg) promptly served in the room and it was a tray consisting of few Indian dishes, all of which were the best we had tasted. (Being foodies, we have tasted a few!). Wish we had time to try rest of the dishes based upon this experience. Next time for sure.

We enjoyed and cherished our visit to Hotel Ambassador, a heritage gem in the heart of the city! |Thanks to Manager Ajaz ji and his brilliant team for making our anniversary celebrations really special with a ‘sweet and thoughtful cake gesture.’ ||We were also delighted with our upgrade to the ‘executive room’, adding spacious luxury to our stay! Also impressed with the neatness and hygiene factor. Great job, keep it up. ||We enjoyed our meals at the ‘Flavours’ restaurant. Thank you, Manager Ejaj Shiekh.

Awesome as in good location. Nice room and all our needs were met. Housekeeping, was the best!. Pity, the revolving Restraunt, was not operating. |The buffet breakfast, has to have more selections or more variety. Otherwise, a definite do again.

I have not enjoyed my stay at all. Though check in was smooth but the room was not upto the mark. Small buffet and when I called room service asking them to give me 2 plates and spoon, they replied saying "abhi hum busy hai, baadmein denge". I mean what audacity they have saying this to a customer. when I complained at the reception, the receptionist asked me "they did not deny giving you the plates and spoon." That's when I retaliated and said angrily "have I come here for this disrespect". Mukesh at the restaurant was very helpful.. He even sent me fruits and cookies for my baby. The only good thing about the hotel is it's location. But I am never ever choosing this property again.. I thought to let it go and not comment, but I have stayed at other properties too and have never ever experienced this kind of staff behaviour.|#stayed on January 13, booked through cleartrip.. pic is of the bathroom.

I liked this place a lot, it was enjoyable and beautiful. You will have a lot of fun staying as a guest there!

Great location, Rooms are spacious,courteous staffs & service level is overall good,however food is not up to the mark.
