Really nice pie and very friendly service. We were there around five in the afternoon on a weekday and it was easy to get a table. We had both savory pie and a tasting set of dessert pies. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced for Copenhagen standards. We didn't have to wait long to get our order.

I am a huge fan of American Pie Company! I had the pleasure tasting so many of their delicious pies over a couple of visits! Not one of them was bad, hands down one of my favourite pies/cakes in Copenhagen! I also joined the Lemon Meringue Baking class, which was the best atmosphere! Cozy, down-to-earth, super vibes :-) Totally worth it with snacks and cake tasting in between the breaks! 🥰🥰🥰 I am for sure doing another class soon :-)

Google
Stopped in for a bite - the chicken and thyme pie was very flavorful and a great size portion for one. They had a large variety of dessert pies. We tried the s’mores pie - very rich but delicious

Google
One of the best cafés I enjoyed in Copenhagen. Our orders were delicious, especially the lemon tart and the s’mores tart.

Google
I loved this little place. The Banoffee Pie was exceptionally good, coffee was amazing. The guy serving us was extremely kind, he answered all my questions with patience! The place itself is really cozy as well <3

Absolutely lovely place. The service is so nice and the pies are amazing. Had a perfect apple pie and my husband had a chicken pie and both were delicious. The coffee was super too! I didn’t touch mine for a while cause I was too busy eating the apple pie haha. They offer pie making classes which sounds fun! Their playlist is also really good!

Perfect afternoon treat on a rainy Copenhagen day. Stopped off here after hitting all the game stores. Nice coffee and hot chocolate. Had the apple pie and it was exceptional. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Yum. I like pie. And to find it in Copenhagen was such a treat! The APC is a funky vibe, with great service and amazing pie. The pumpkin, key lime and blue berry bread pudding pies were all outstanding.

Yelp
I come to American Pie at least once a year to get my pumpkin pie fix, but if I am honest, I should come all year round as they have delicious savoury and sweet flavors. The ambiance is cozy and makes you want to hang around longer, so don't feel bad if out of the sudden you have had two slices of pie and two coffees, been there and done that. :P Highly recommend their lunch deal, or the mix and match slice pie with several different flavors for takeaway.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Nice cozy setting with good lunch pies! Located near the university and DIS offices just off the walking street.

Yelp
A 5 star place of you're craving a piece of American pie and are nostalgic for a 70s diner experience, but once the nostalgia shades are off, this becomes just an ok place with slightly high prices. First of all, I really like having such a place in Copenhagen. It really tries and succeeds in mimicking an American diner. It has a lot of the classic US pies, such as Apple Cinnamon, Pumpkin, Brownie, Key Lime etc. and combines them with delicious milkshakes, ice cram floats or coffee. They even give you cream fraiche on the side. So, if you're going for the atmosphere, it's a must do. The staff are nice and friendly. However, if you're just walking around town and want something sweet, there are better and cheaper places. The pies do succeeded in mimicking their US cousins, but some of them are mediocre. Although I loved the key lime and pumpkin pies, the Brownie was really thick and the blackberry pie had a rather dry crust. Also, it's a bit on the pricey side, with about 65 dkk a piece. So, if it's a hefty piece of americana you want, head on in. Otherwise, think about it.

Yelp
A slice of good ole Americana right in the middle of CPH. From savory hand pies to sweet pies including whole and take & bake options. Coffee & cold drinks too.

Yelp
A lovely pie place where you could get (almost) all that your heart desires. They don't have many savoury pies, but they have plenty of sweet pies around to make everyone happy. We had tipster coupon and used them to buy four (slices of) pies to share. We had egg and bacon (the chicken pot pie looked good but I don't eat chicken, so that's one out) for savoury and the rest are sweet pies: Strawberry rhubarb, berry crumble and triple chocolates. My favourite was the berry crumble although strawberry rhubarb came pretty close. The triple chocolate was good, but it felt too much like a mousse cake than a pie to me. I wanted to try the coconut one but it was sold out. We have definitely become a fan of this place. Lovely and cosy place (it can be quite crowded in the weekend) but nevertheless a place that serves great pies (American style).

Yelp
Got a slice of the famous Banoffee pie. The toffee layer was really rich and creamy. Paired well with the very flaky bottom crust. However, I'm not sure that the crust held up against the heft of the filling - a bit too thin for my liking. My biggest complaint is about the bananas! I think there were only about four slices in my piece, unfortunately. I love banana, so I was really hoping for more... if I do return, it won't be for this particular pie.

Yelp
It was a rainy CPH day so perfect for pie & coffee. I was disappointed the last time I visited as they were out of chocolate pies. So get here early if you want anything chocolate especially on a Saturday. Today, I arrived late afternoon & snatched the last piece of "The Heartbreaker"-Triple Chocolate Pie. Not sure about the name but it was amazing -Oreo cookie crust with Triple chocolate mousse that was just right and not too airy. The Cappuccino was perfect as well the service & atmosphere!

Yelp
The American Pie Company is a little bit of home in Copenhagen. I came here for the first time when I was feeling a bit homesick because what better way to cheer someone up than a good ol' slice of American pie?! The ambiance feels like an old time diner with USA decor, and they even have a selection of American goodies available for sale. The owner is an American expat from the Midwest who definitely knows her pies! I've tried the banana caramel & toffee cream, layered lemon, and key lime pies. They were all fantastic, but my favorite would probably be the layered lemon. They usually always have classics like apple, berry, and seasonal specials such as pumpkin. Plus they offer savory pies, and in the summer they have ice cream and pie in a cup! I saw someone eating this and it looked fantastic. Besides the fact that the pie is delicious, I love that I can introduce an American classic to my Danish friends. So happy to have the American Pie Company in Copes!

Yelp
Items Selected: Yo Mamma's Apple Cinnamon Pie Cinnamon Bread Pie with Melted Icing and Whipped Cream Banoffee Pie with Caramel and Toffee Cream Located in Central Copenhagen, not far from Conditori La Glace where the Grande Dame of Copenhagen Desserts has reigned since 1870, The American Pie Company stands out in a sea of shopping thanks to its novelty, the quirky corner store from Erin Eberhardt-Chapman and Dorte Prip opened in 2015 as the first American Pie shop in all of Denmark continuing to wow customers with good ol' fashioned slices and a soundtrack featuring the likes of Tom Petty, The Guess Who and Don McLean. Born out of homesickness and a love of baking, American expatriate Chapman first producing a pair of Danish Language Cookbooks to gather funds for the eventual shop at Skindergade 25, those entering The American Pie Company with no previous experience will immediately be struck by the sort of kitsch that those born Stateside have come to know by way of countless Diners and Television depictions, the Stars and Stripes hung on one wall with neon "PIE" in capital letters behind a counter where Coffee is brewed strong and over a dozen Pies are offered daily. At this point as widely accepted by locals as by tourists, a smattering of savory Pies mixed in with both classic and novel Desserts luring in those mostly speaking Danish on this particular afternoon, it was with a broad smile that each guest was greeted at the register, and although several tough choices were made before a decision was finally reached the selected trio spoke to not only good ingredients but a lot of time and effort, "Yo Mamma's" Apple Cinnamon Pie fashioned in the American Dutch Style with a rolled Butter Crust plus a topcoat of Sugar Crystals all overlying Cinnamon-soaked and softened local Apples. Undoubtedly true to its name with additional choices including Stonefruit Crumble and Lemon Meringue, but also looking to London for inspiration in the form of a creamy Banoffee Pie with thick Caramel Custard topped in Whipped Cream studded with crumbled Toffee, it was with a rewarmed slice of Cinnamon Bread Pie with Melted Icing and Hand-Whipped Cream that the sampling came to a finish, the small cubes of Brioche toasted on the surface and springy beneath very sweet by local standards but not dissimilar from what one might expect of an American Cinnamon Roll.

Yelp
What a fun concept- I'm sure it would be even more novel if I wasn't American, but what a "sweet" idea to buy full pies, pies by the slice and with or without ice cream--they also had quiches and some savory pies--more a British thing. Tried the Bramble--blackberry and cream cheese pie, with ice cream, which was lovely to share. Fun interior space as well. Great spot to get a sugar fix.

Yelp
American Pie is one of my favorite places to get dessert in Copenhagen! American Pie is located in the middle of Copenhagen. It is near tons of tourist attractions, making it super easy and convenient to go to. American Pie is a dessert place that only serves pie. They have some breakfast pies, which are pies that have eggs and assorted veggies in them. They also have more traditional pies, like an apple pie and a brownie pie. All of the pies here are amazing and I love coming here. My favorite is the warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream...it is so delicious!! The vibe in American Pie is great. It is super friendly and trendy on the inside. They have a huge sign that says PIE and it is really cool looking. They also have tons of seating options! To sum up, American Pie is always a good option!

Yelp
I can't begin to express how excited I was when I heard about this place opening. As a Danish/American who lived 12 years in California, I miss my classic American pies. They have the coolest interior which just makes you even more excited to spend time here eating your sweet or savory pies. They've really done an amazing job at thinking of every detail. When you walk in you can go up and see their display case of the pies they have that day. They will be switching out their pies seasonly, and I for one am super excited to see what other pies they put together. As Thanksgiving is next week and I'm away from my family, I always miss pumpkin pie this time of year so I ordered a slice of their pimped out pumpkin pie. It's sweet spiced pumpkin and cream cheese custard swirled together. SO BEYOND GOOD! Seriously. My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. I also ordered their chicken & thyme pot pie. I hadn't had that in years and It was such comfort of my home in California. Don't even think twice about coming here if you're in the Copenhagen area. JUST DO IT! :D

Yelp
Real American pies! It doesn't get any better than this. The café is beautiful and cozy, and the pies are absolutely delicious. It's practically impossible to choose, but I loved their lemon meringue pie and the coconuttiest coconut cream pie ever. But the star for me was a special of the day: blueberry-gooseberry pie, which tasted like a warm hug. This place is popular, though, so expect that it'll be crowded and you may not get a seat immediately.

Yelp
Amazing pie restaurant. great service had the vegetable chili pie. felt like a great plant-based option.
google avatar

Pete M.

Yelp
Good proper American pies. A little kitschy but OK that's 'Merican!!! It's a shame they're closed so early, people would likely go for that later night pie and coffee experience.
google avatar

Xinxin G.

Yelp
The pie is gooooood, place chill and people nice. Apple pie, cherry pie, key lime pie all great. Food pies excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic pies fresh intelligent and absolutely tasty - the service is prompt nice and empathic ! The location is really nice with a charming atmosphere - I enjoyed this place a lot and will definitely return !

Yelp
I convince everyone to come here. Immediately they are converted to the religion that is pie. The people here are sweethearts (as everyone else is saying) and the pie is delish!!! I am in love with these pies! Who cares about men when there is PIE??? I'll have another, thank you very much. However, sometimes the owner uses up all the space by the biggest table. When I say sometimes, I mean every second time I'm there. This can't be good for business. It's definitely not good for service.
google avatar

Gwen S.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday afternoon to meet with two friends over pie. The inside is cute and cozy. We got a seat, but if it was busier in the day, seating would've been difficult to find. They offer both sweet and savory pies. We all elected for sweet pies: apple, blueberry ginger, and bourbon pecan. We had the option to add ice cream (10 dkk) and whipped cream (5 dkk) to our pie! All options were delicious; there is no wrong choice.

Yelp
I was a frequent costumer at the American Pie Company during my time living in Denmark. I had no self control - I loved it too much! I never had a pie there that wasn't delicious. This place stands out on the corner with it's out-there vintage design. It's impossible to miss. The interior feels like a cool retro American diner, with a bit of a modern twist. I love it! Seating can be a bit limited sometimes, but it is a nice place to work. It's never too loud, and the lighting is great. Their coffees, hot chocolate, and other drinks are all great. I love their savory and hand pies. Those flavors seem to change the most often, but I've never had one that disappointed. They are always heated up, and clearly made that day and super fresh. Then nothing can beat their sweet pies!! My all-time favorite was the chocolate peppermint pie that they had around Christmas! You can also never go wrong with any of their berry pies. They make fantastic, flaky crusts with great fillings! Pies are honestly my favorite kind of dessert, and theirs definitely exceed my expectations.

Yelp
Oh. My. Days. I don't eat much pie; London's good pies are almost exclusively savoury which I really like, but sweet pies are thin on the ground. As an American ex-pat, I've had plenty of pie in my time, but since I left the States in 1999, I was pretty excited to see the American Pie Company. They did hand pies as well as pot pies, but I was there for one thing - Banana Cream Pie. At about 45DKK for a slice of pie, it's not cheap but it's a substantial slice, with an Oreo crust, and then some firm chocolate ganache type stuff, before the light banana cream filling, with big hunks of banana and unsweetened whipped cream. The other pies all looked amazing too (Bourbon pecan called to me, as did the candy pie. Unfortunately I'm leaving tomorrow, so I can't have the other flavours.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly staff, nice place to sit, and most importantly great pie! I liked the sweet pies better than the savory ones but they were all good. I think we came here 3 times during our trip. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Its what I would call pie HEAVEN in DENMARK!!! Everything about this place screams amazing. Being a New Yorker in Denmark means eating everything I can in the three day time span I was there! The AMERICAN PIE COMPANY IS WORTH EVERY BITE AND EVERY PENNY. Okay, yes 6-7 dollars a slice is pricey but I love pie I eat it anywhere I go... they bring flavors to the table. I came here right before my flight back home and I winged it based on all the positive reviews. I took one brownie pie, one apple and a key lime! Everything defines outstanding where they really shined was the brownie and apple pie. The smell of brownie as I OPENED THE BOX WAS LIKE BAM!! Bringing the pies in hand through TSA and on the plane is never an easy task but sheesh I would do it all over again. I highly recommend eating some pie here. The key lime was ok nothing special, maybe because there is a key lime pie next to my home that will blow there key lime out of the park but its still fresh and good quality. Staff is very helpful and sweet. Cash and credit accepted, cute interior. Great spot to be touristy and look around. Transit near by.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
The reason why I gave a 4 and not a 5 is because the banana chocolate pie had no bananas nor banana flavours. Also, the coffee is a bit overpriced, but that has become typical in Copenhagen recently. The other two pies I have tried were close to divine. Maybe the pecan pie is their best pie? I will surely come back for it!
google avatar

Nathan K.

Yelp
A hipster version of America, I guess you could call the style and decor of this little restaurant/cafe. Both things we got here were good, but they only had one of the savory pies that we wanted, not two for the both of us. That's my only complaint. Otherwise the boozy bourbon pecan pie was delicious. I shared one piece of this, and I think that's about all the sweet I could handle, and it was really good. The crust was also tasty, which is impressive, because the crust is usually my least favorite part of a pie (unless it's graham cracker). I'll be sure to go here again.
google avatar

Isabella D.

Yelp
This is the cutest café, and I might be a little harsh when I give it only 3 stars. I love the ambience in there and the decor - it is exactly what I dreamed it would be. A little slice of homey-America in Copenhagen. When you do go to this café, be prepared to eat a lot of sweet. American Pie Company serve you a generous piece of pie that you might be fighting to conquer in the end. The few pies I have tried have been too sweet for my taste, but I still plan to go back and taste more - as the café has lots sof personality and stands out from the café scene in Copenhagen. Sadly the coffee is disappointing and not really worth the price. All in all it is a great place to visit if you are hungry for sweets.
google avatar

Sonia M.

Yelp
I have been looking for a place to eat a pecan pie since i arrived in Denmark. I was not disappointed. One of my favorite spot to have coffee and cake.
google avatar

Persis R.

Yelp
In addition to iconic Americana decor and music, great pie, though small number of true classics. Lots of berry variations! I reccommend key lime!
google avatar

Meghan M.

Yelp
Charming ambiance and amazing pie selection - both savory and sweet options. I ate the veggie chili pie with a side of salad. Delicious food and friendly service!

Yelp
This little dinner place is very authentic. I was here for a arrangment where the owner presented the place and told about their history. She talked about their concept and how they strive to offer new flavours every third month, and how they want to follow the seasons. The place have original baking pans from back in the day and original recepies from the 50s hanging on their walls. The floor was also designed originally as the dinners, so that I also thought was cool. The waiters seemed very nice, very american, very friendly. I tasted their bourbon pecan pie filling, it was deliecious. Roasted pecan and the bourbon taste was significant, and played very well together. I tasted it with a cup coffee, perfect combination. I also thought their hand held pie looked good, so I bought a piece for my boyfriend. It was with veggies, meat and goatcheese, he loved it. The pies are around 45 kr each and they looked delicious, they had oreo pie, cherry pie, coconut cream pie etc. Recommendable :)
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious pies. Even forgot the picture of my veggies pie - sorry what else is there to say
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my God in pie heaven! I may have to move in here permanently. Increasingly over the past few years, Copenhagen have been getting more and more places themed on high-quality versions of American traditional food staples: The Donut Shop, cheesecakes, etc. But one thing has been lacking, and that is pies. Pies are so important to American food culture that there are tons of sayings including pie: "American as apple pie...", "easy as pie...", etc. But in Copenhagen, no really good pie. Or at least, that's the way it used to be. Now we have The American Pie Company, that makes the best pies I've had this side of the pond! In particular their cherry pie is a gooey, cherry-ish slice of perfection. Place is usually busy, and not particularly big, so expect a bit of wait during peak times, such as Saturdays. But it's worth it. I even love their real diner-style coffee mugs!
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
This place is a good reason to live in Denmark! My other half is American, so naturally with some proper pie on offer we gravitated towards here for dessert on our wedding anniversary while we were in Copenhagen. Super friendly staff, and generous portions which we took out to eat back at our holiday apartment. We both had the black bottomed banana creme pie. Oh my god that was some seriously good pie. I wouldn't have expected the crust to work with it but it totally does. The flavours brought back memories of Magnolia bakery's banana pudding. It was that good. So we go on a cruise and have some time to kill on our return. Yep, time for more pie! I once again had the banana, while my wife had the chicken pot pie. I was surprised how good the chicken was! This is certainly going to be the next food trend like cupcakes and barbecue. Or perhaps that's my wishful thinking!
google avatar

Fabian B.

Yelp
Great pie with great ambience. Once you open the door it smells like butter. Not many seats but it helps creating a copy atmosphere. Don't just stick to the sweets. The Shepards Pie is a great lunch and definitely worth a visit.
google avatar

Ira B.

Yelp
Sweet lord - this is food for the soul. On a rainy grey day in the city, and feeling pretty low generally, I stumbled across this little beacon of light. I ordered pimped up pumpkin pie with cream and a coffee. The smile on my face was immediate and I felt like I'd just had a warm, comforting food hug. The pie is light, soooo pumpkiny and gone in a flash. I left feeling 10 times better than when I walked in. The best DKK75 I've spent.
google avatar

Peter T.

Yelp
Wife tried the pastie - chicken, I believe: tick v.g. Self: Burbon Peccan Pie again: also v.g. Place crowded at 12, but thinned out. Went across to Faraos Cigarer - a good day.
google avatar

Tucker H.

Yelp
We stumbled across the place as we were wandering around Copenhagen, and were really glad we stopped in when we saw it! Super friendly service, old-school American bakery vibe, good coffee, and our key lime pie was outstanding! If we'd had more time, we would definitely have gone back with emptier stomachs to try more.
google avatar

Natalia K.

Yelp
A cake heaven ! Definitely the best cheese cakes you could ever imagine. I tried three different cakes and definitely the best one was lemon cheese cake. Remember to try their coffee ! The taste of cake comes perfect with a nice bitter taste of coffee.

Jack W.

Yelp
Great Thanksgiving Thyme Pie and a cool atmosphere. The pie had turkey and some vegetables and came with an optional cranberry sauce on the side. It made me feel like I was right at home! The place is just slightly off the beaten path (relatively speaking) and oh so good!
google avatar

Sike W.

Yelp
Cozy place and attractive food. When I arrived, the apple pie was sold out. So I turned to a butter chocolate cake. It was too sweet for me but the chocolate base was nice.

Avig D.

Yelp
Very nice place with original choice of pies. Had a blackberry/cream cheese one and a layer lemon one. Was very good. Cute setting with large windows and wooden table.
google avatar

Kayleigh B.

Yelp
Love this place. So far I've tried the apple and cherry pies, and I would highly recommend them both. The crust is not exactly like my mom's homemade apple pie, but it still tastes pretty authentic. The pie isn't cheap (45 kr/slice or 330kr for a whole pie), but honestly, the high quality, great taste, and the fact that there is a place I can source pie thousands of miles from home when I am feeling nostalgic makes it MORE than worth it to me.
google avatar

Michelle E.

Yelp
Of course, being American, I am a tough one to please, but this place really impressed me. They have American decor around the cafe which reminds you of a typical diner, but not in a kitchy way. They are playing music from a San Francisco radio station, and the pimped out pumpkin pie is absolutely fabulous! I also tried the savory pie with goat cheese and fig and that was super yummy as well. My only complaint is that I didn't have enough room in my stomach to try more, so I will definitely be back to try not only the sweet but the savory pies too!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Alright alright, another American checking in... Hello, hi! Where I grew up in the good ol' US of A, I was an hour's drive away from the famous city of Julian, CA. Julian is a tiny one-street town in the mountains (wayyyyy) East of San Diego. When you go there, you feel like you've time travelled back in time to the old West. And every year, the people of San Diego (including myself) travel East for one reason only... the PIES. Julian is famous for their hand-made, generation-spanning, delicious pies. Anyway, you may be asking yourself, why am I talking about Julian? Isn't this a review for a place in KBH?... I'm getting there! Ok, so you can imagine, once I heard that there was a new pie place that boasted "authentic American pies" in KBH, I was very skeptical. I was ready to be a real mean critic of the pies at The American Pie Company. But... alas, they got me. And they got me gooooood. From the authentic tile patterns on the floor (single-handedly laid by the owners!), the antique kitchen gadgets from their grandmother's kitchen decorating the walls, the imported antique lamps from Oregon, etc... the lovely ladies at The American Pie Company put every single detail into consideration to truly make not only their pies, but the actual shop as authentically American as possible. Plus, it's just plain freaking cute in there! :) Now, onto the pies. I, of course, had to first try their bourbon-pecan pie. Pecan pie is my all-time favorite type of pie. I've read some reviews claiming that it was too sweet... well, I guess, they've never had BAD pecan pie, where the corn-syrup leaves your throat feeling sore. (Yuck). But no, not this pie. It was just the right amount of sweetness and that little hint of bourbon is such a nice compliment. Eating this pie took me back to my hometown. Next, I had the cherry pie. Now, I'm not a huge cherry pie fan but I'd gladly eat this one with no complaints. Lastly, I brought a slice home of the Oreo pie for my husband. And let's just say, we were both left with our mouths agape with how delicious it was. My husband even dared to claim that it was better than anything he'd had back in U.S. (I said those were some fighting words!) But needless to say, my husband is also now a huge fan. You can really tell that the ladies of The American Pie Company put their heart and soul into this place. They're all so incredibly sweet and friendly as well. I want them to succeed but I also want to be greedy and keep them on the down-low so they don't explode in popularity and then I can't get my pie... But with pies as good as theirs, I can only expect them to become success.

Yelp
As an American living in Denmark, I have dearly missed good American pies. Thankfully, I heard about this place a few days before thanksgiving, and although I don't celebrate thanksgiving here, decided to order two pies for a Julefrokost. I was a little mind blown when I heard the price of the pies, but decided to order them anyways. Side note, things in Scandinavia are expensive in general. A 5.99 pie from Costo is now as equally mind blowing to me. Like how?! I digress. I ordered the pimped out pumpkin and the pecan pie, because hello; it's the perfect time of year for it. The first thing I can say was how pleased I was with the customer service in the ordering process. I got a busy signal when I called and was immediately called back. The lady was clearly one of the American owners and we had a nice little chat. Something that felt so eerily strange considering the customer service one usually gets in DK. I ordered the pies for pick-up before closing on a Friday afternoon, which was stated as 18.00. I got there straight from work at 16:30 and was told that my pies were still in the oven and needed about 10 minutes to finish baking. No problem on my end, but the owner saw that I clearly needed a cup of coffee and gave me one as a kind of side gesture. It was SO extremely nice and appreciated, and again a surprise because let me tell you - nothing is ever free in Denmark o.O Anyways, more nice conversation was had (two Americans jibber-jabbering), and when my pies were ready, she set me off with the pies situated in the best possible way for walking them home while also having a bike and bag with me. Now, onto the pies themselves. They were amazing. Spectacular! So good, and hit all the right spots. BUT, it's doubtful I would ever spend over 300 kroner again on one pie. There's something about making your own pie and bringing home baked goods to a party. That being said, I'm 110% positive I will visit this bakery from time to time to order the various kinds. The owners, the pies, the atmosphere - it's all just so darn pleasant and comforting. Yay for Americans in Copenhagen showing what real customer service should look like :) *high 5*

Yelp
I am not an expert when it comes to pie or should I say, classic american pie. So this is just based on my taste preference. Their chicken & thyme pot pie as well the cottage pie reminds me of those comfort food or soup that you would eat when you're having a cold. I really like how fragrance is the chicken pie, thanks to the thyme. The size is perfect but it could use a bit more seasoning. For the cottage pie, I really wish they would add more grounded beef on the cottage pie, I feel like the volume of the mash potatoes inside is dominating everything, makes it seem like the meat is just a garniture. The hand pie which is mixed mushrooms and cheese is so delicious that just eating one is not enough for me. The pastry wrap is well seasoned and crispy as well, which good at balancing the mildly flavored filling. The filling was juicy and soft. It looks like empanadas but a lot thinner. This is the kind of food that gives you a nice impact on the first bite. I also like their rhubarb pie. It's tangy and not too sweet. Here's come the reason why I give it three stars, the key lime pie. I have tried several key lime pie before, and this one is just not that great. The meringue topping is waaaaaay too sweet, even for my husband who have a sweet tooth. It ruins our taste buds for some time. It also has not that nice after taste. Overall, I like their pies, both sweet and savory. I will come again to try some others :)

Yelp
Wow this place is wonderful! It all fits perfectly: the American/Scandinavian interior is beautiful, the American radio station in the background, and the two American owners chatting behind the bar. The apple pie was perfect, and the goat cheese hand pie that was both sweet and salty was to die for. Having lived in the USA for a few years this place brought back all the right memories!
