The place is nice for its money! Rooms with no ac but with fan. We stayed in a wooden room outside. The bed is nice the sheets are new. The manager is really nice and helpful. Great view from the roof top. The biggest problem is the construction works next to the camp. They started loud works at 7:30 in the morning on Sunday. It was absolutely impossible to continue sleeping since the construction is right outside the window. Even after our stuff kindly asked workers to be quiet it didn’t help. So if you’re not an early bird I won’t recommend to stay in a wooden room. Maybe it’s better in a main building.

I stayed in the Anara Surf Camp which is located at Pantai Yeh Sumbul 500m west of Pantai Medewi - the famous point break. I chose the camp, because it was the cheapest nearby and I didn't regret my choice. The bungalow I stayed in was great, clean and bright with a private bathroom outside under the sky (which I enjoyed a lot). The camp's cat is really friendly and immediately loves you when you give her banana chips! The staff is super nice and very welcoming! The camp itself is located 100m from the beach and within fields and former rice patties. There is a nice rooftop terrace with some hammocks and tables and an open kitchen. The waves in front of the camp are nice during mid tide while the point break is great at mid to high tide.||Overall, I really enjoyed my time in the Anara Surf Camp and would definitely recommend it to everyone traveling to Medewi! :)

Went there for a short trip from Denpasar. We got a room overlooking the ocean and it was gorgeous. The facilities were okay, but the service by the manager Mr Agung won our heart, he helped us getting everything we need. The little restaurant by the sea was a perfect place for spending a lazy morning watching surfers playing with the waves and nasi goreng was good.. And they also have bikes you can rent

- MOLD everywhere, toilet seat infested with ants, the shower water smells awful, no sink available, room not cleaned, broken fan, big holes in moskito net, the mosk is so loud you can't sleep, one morning the lid on our floor drain had been lifted and inside was a CRAB.|We did not get the room we paid for. While being shown the available options, all either had black mold giving out a strong urine smell, or green mold over the walls|They falsely advertise the rooms on Booking with "balcony, minibar & seating area" when that is a lie||+ Very kind and helpful staff, lent us scooter, assisted with laundry, gave us good advice for restaurants, very attentive and nice. We got complimentary breakfast because of the room issues

Our group book 8 rooms Full Review 4 of our group stay in 2 air-conditioning room on the top. The rooms are fine, but the bed looks old. The bathroom are outside and they have sink to wash our eating utensils. They also provide a bathtub outside. My friend stay in 1 wooden room. It's pretty cute, the bathroom attached to the room and its outside kinda bathroom. The picture show the room from the outside. The bathroom picture is provided in this page by other people (not in this comment). Me and the other 9 are staying at 5 rooms on the three stories building, no AC but it's quite cold at night. I provide the picture of my room. We stay during Nyepi day and the rain pouring all day. It leaks in many spot, and there are no staff at the moment so I have to dry my room by myself. But as you see from the picture, the view is really nice, the price is super cheap. For that kinda price hotel, I would give 5 stars if it's not raining. But I feel like 3 star because of the leaking. So in average I give 4 instead. They give a delicious pancakes with honey, and the restaurant is by the beach. I really having a good time here. I will suggest the owner maybe to change the bed in the air conditioning room, maybe nicer color, that blue bed just seem not appealing and old. Provide better stove, and probably a table on the non-AC room. Because I put all my stuff on the floor and the floor got wet because of the rain, luckily it haven't reach my stuff. If there is a table, I'll be less worried. Thank you.

We stayed for 3 nights as a 2+3 family choosing one superior air con and one standard room. When we arrived we were kindly put together in two rooms at the top of the camp, like a large chalet overlooking the ocean. For us it’s perfect - no shops, a warung below for food and a small hotel 500m away. For the 100Aus$ cost for 2 rooms 3 nights there is nothing we could complain about. A beautiful stone bath in our private side garden thrilled the children and us alike. Bathroom is very basic but have constant hot water. Our rooms had a small kitchen, a fridge and a fantastic outside table. It was all swept down daily.||Two nice banks out front providing lefts and rights perfect for our intermediate 11 year old and beginner 10 year old with larger sets further out for intermediate surfers. Deserted id heard the breaks were busy but it’s June school holidays and there’s maybe 3 in the water quite far apart. Plenty of room to catch wave after wave. Surf racks on site.||Surrounded by agricultural land with lots of animals and rice paddies, the beach is spotless unlike the river mouth near the point. It’s around 1km to the point - it’s a nice walk.||The family are tremendously kind, welcoming and we loved watching them work building more bungalows. We also loved relaxing with lots of shaded areas and the great platform area for our family surf judges and photographer! Also shaded sun loungers. There’s nothing to do but surf, chat, relax and meet the friendly local village people - may not suit some but it was perfect for us.||No shops but a short motorbike ride takes you to a small village for essentials. I’d bring essentials and cAsh as the cc facilities next door had broken. Also wine :) but there is Bintang. There’s a small macrame shop nearby with such reasonable prices and I love handmade craft. ||Internet wasn’t great but next door hotel has free wifi and you can use their pool and pool table if the kids need a break if you eat there. ||

Good place to stay over, the place is quite from crowded road, back to nature area, good view of beach, rice fields and mountains. Only 2 minutes walk to the beach, near surf spot, at the beach they have warung/cafe you can book food and drinks. Staff are good, service guess. They rent surf board, motor bike, arrange for suttle, all you need just ask to staff, they ill helps.
