Nice outdoor seating. You can sit outside under the covers or on the beach which is super. Ordered nachos and fish tacos with fries that were delicious. Ordered tangerine dream and it tastes like an orange cream popsicle, if you're not a fan of sugary drinks like myself then don't get it. Drinks are tiny for the price and they don't have happy hour, got dinged on rating for that. Overall great atmosphere, they play great music.

We went for the Valentine's Jazz Brunch 10am-2pm. They have special brunches on weekends. Normally open at 12pm. They have special set dinners as well for $65, like a whiskey inspired one. Great cocktails, also a cider cocktail, pumpkin spice, mimosas, bloodmarys, and irish coffee as well. There is a take out order section and a self service tea/coffee bar for free with eating there. The staff is very nice, I emailed the owner and he cc'd the chef and both were happy to make the french toast dairy-free! No issues, which is not a usual occurrence at other places. No reservations needed. The bananas foster french toast and breakfast burrito were amazing. They had live music, which seems to occur commonly for other events. It is inside the convention hall with seating inside the hall with dogs allowed or inside closer to the bar. They decorate the place based on the holiday.

On the side of Asbury’s Convention Hall is the Anchors Bend, a bar and restaurant with three space options: indoor, outdoor, and on the sand. The space on the sand features it’s own bar, picnic style tables, string lighting, and a small stage for performances. The vibe is casual and there’s no dress requirements beyond wearing shoes. Drink prices are reasonable given the location and are served in plastic, single-serving cups. There’s a water dispenser for self-service. We did not dine during our visit so I can’t speak to the quality of the food, but multiple items were listed as “housemade.” Despite your age and the time o, expect to be carded.

Good atmosphere. Good people. The NewJersies are a friendly bunch. As a Californian, I was pleasantly surprised by the fish tacos. I had beer and margaritas too. All good.

Place is inside the convention hall and was pretty packed. Food was ok and so was the service. Place was pretty packed and we still got our food in a decent amount of time.

Fun sports bar on the boardwalk. They have some creative cocktails and a nice selection of other drinks as well. It was empty when I went but there was a concert going on across the street, so I'm guessing it filled up later on. Recommended: cinnamon mule.

Nice scenery...and fast service. Friendly staff. Very funny waitress, very pleasant. Happy hour only happens at the bar. FYI

The food here is not good. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was obviously from the freezer isle of the local supermarket, it had the consistency of a mcnugget. Service was ok.

PROS: very nice beach bar that many people gravitate towards. The staff is nice and rush your orders, menu variety is plentiful, and very nice beach views. Place is large which can hold a lot of people CONS: their prices are staggering compared to other places on the boardwalk OVERALL: as long as you have the funds, I recommend coming here

Drinks? Good! Beach?? Goooooood! Drinks ON THE beach? The best it could get. The Beach Bar is all open air, basically a pier on the very end of the boardwalk with a few different bars, a DJ sometimes, some tables and relaxed but good vibes. Me and some friends stopped by here while walking home from brunch and wanted to soak in a little more of the beautiful weather. I wasn't really feeling a strong drink so we all got pina coladas and daiquiris. FUN, I know. The bartenders were super nice when I inquired about any sort of mocktails because I wasn't too sure I wanted a drink. But when I saw pina colada on the menu I knew it was the drink for me. It barely tasted like it had alcohol in it which was pretty perfect for me (maybe not the rest of the friends who needed to get an extra shot of rum added). Go for the beach side drinks because there is nothing better.

Stopped here on a pub crawl a few weekends ago. Pros: Great location right next to the beach at Asbury Park, surprisingly not overly priced which some of the other spots along the boardwalk are! Cons: Very bare bones setup; felt a little dingy inside; had to use public bathrooms just outside of the bar area. Not sure if I'd come here on a regular basis, but the location's hard to beat so I'll probably be back!

I've come here for years and always had a great time but sadly my current experience just ruined it. Brought our family who is recently new to the US and the security started questioning the validity of his ID because he was not sure what specific ID to show, and then she proceeded to get passive aggressive and rude. Instead of trying to be helpful, her response is "this is Jersey" and "you should have explained to him" and "I don't know who you are". If this is how we treat guests at a place that is supposed to be inclusive and welcoming, then we will go elsewhere. Very disappointing.

I was here the other day, stopped in for some drinks during the day. No cover which was good, wasn't really busy. got some vodka cranberry's and just chilled looking at the beach and boardwalk. nice atmosphere and service was good

After a long day on the beach my friend and I wanted to enjoy some drinks. I've been very weary of dining outside due to everything that's currently going on but I felt very comfortable at The Beach Bar. The tables were spaced out and no one was on top of each other. I enjoyed a rum bucket. The view from the bar is really nice and the breeze felt amazing! I would visit here again.

If you visit Asbury park beach, then you can't miss visiting this cute beach bar that is very lively. The bar is gay owned, proudly displaying a gay flag swaying with the wind. The drinks are good too but I stuck with Angry Orchard's Cider Rose, this was my favorite summer drink. The music was loudly playing awesome tunes, the beach goers were super happy and dancing enjoying the wonderful summer day. The semi-outdoor lounge has wicker seating and tall bar stools with tables and along side the ledge of the space more stools with ledges to look out at the beach waves while sipping on a cold one and bopping to the beats. This bar is always popping and it is a fun vibe if you're into that type of scene.

Nice to be able to sit next to the beach & have a beverage and not be on the sand for a bit. The drink itself wasn't very good though. Bartender was really friendly! Probably wouldn't do it again.

I never knew this place existed, until my friend brought me here for drinks before lounging around on the beach. The entire area is outdoors, and is on the edge of the beach, so you can people watch if you like. Service was quick, and they always ask you if you want to make it a double, which can lead to drinking a little more alcohol than you mean to. But seems like a good, basic place to get drinks if you're planning on spending the day at the Asbury boardwalk.

It was during COVID that I visited the beach bar for my first time it was overall a good experience I came and got two buckets of rum and sit on their outside section enjoying the sun while enjoying my drink when this next summer come around plan to revisit and try more of the menu

The Beach Bar is so loud that you can't even hear yourself think. That, or I might just be too old. Came here with my boyfriend and another couple after a day of baking on the beach. We went for one of their rum buckets. Although they put a bunch of different rums in there, it still doesn't taste that strong - probably because it's 1/2 filled with ice. If you're looking to have a nice drink to cool down after a day at the beach, this isn't it.

We went by at 8:30 and the bartender said it was last call. Seriously? We ended up not even bothering since we were going to have to slam our drinks back and leave. The bartender was nice so that's why they get the 3 stars.

I love this bar! It's so great and Cliff is so much fun to talk to! If you want a good time come here I hope you consider it while you're at Asbury Park!

What a fun place, there was a DJ who played all kinds of great music ... 80's dance , freestyle etc... the view of the ocean is amazing and no complaints about the drinks :)

Our bartender Carey was fantastic!! He made great drinks and when we had a slight complaint about our chips and guacamole he fixed it right away. The atmosphere was chill and being at Asbury Park July 4th weekend during Covid was the topper.

June 2019, came here with friends in the afternoon and we sat down on the blue lounge chair outside that was comfortable, and just watched the crowd of people hanging out enjoying themselves. The music playing in the background was great, and we ordered the Rum Bucket for $18, it was like having two drinks in one. The drink was refreshing, especially on a hot day, but could use a little more alcohol. All and all, this is a great place to hang out especially on a nice day.

Bottom line: standard over priced beach bar on the jersey shore. Long line: meh. Not much else to say really. Security was OD even during broad daylight, even on a cold day. The prices are high for sure, specially for the quality. Service seemed uninterested.

Was there on a Wednesday around 3pm. Ordered a margarita & a Tito's with grapefruit juice. The margarita was awful & the Tito's was mixed with lemonade not grapefruit juice. When I asked to trade the drinks in for two Coronas I was rudely asked what was wrong with the drinks..I politely responded and said they tasted terrible. These 20 something year old kids behind the bar do not respect the bartender trade. Drinks are slapped together like a child making kool aid. Sad, I do enjoy going to Asbury but will never come here again.

I don't know what everyone's whining about, BB is a fun outdoor bar, RIGHT on the beach, with food, drinks AND music. All are welcome, very relaxed vibe. I miss Glen Jones DJing on Wednesday Nights... it's the perfect summer soundtrack for everyone. BRING HIM BACK FOR 2019 PUH-LEASE!

Okay, so randomly one Saturday evening we decide to go Asbury Park & honesly, the experience was amazing. The boardwalk is great plus beach bar is a added plus. I had to write the review while I am here. No entry fee, free clubbing kinda thing after 10pm & amazing drinks. Try their rum bucket, it's just the one you want on a beach. Would definitely come here again!

I love how there is a bar that overlooks the ocean . The ambience makes you feel really relaxed and in the moment . I did not have any issues with the bouncers. They were attentive and did their jobs. The bartender was also very friendly. The drinks were meh . My boyfriend got the cruzan mango on the rocks for around 11-13 dollars .it came in a water cup . I got the cruzan drink with the bucket ( bigger + more alcohol ) and it cost slightly more, but not much of a difference in price. Both of our drinks tasted like they were watered down. If it was a first date, want to breathe in the scenery, or want to hang out with friends, then this is the bar for you . Otherwise , its a skip.

Never a cover, Great view of the beach/ocean (because you are right on top of it ), Always a drink special, and one of our favorite summer hangouts. Seriously we can't wait to get here after a day on the beach. Come in and grab a couch, bed, or chair on the south side of Convention Hall. You have a great view of the beach, enjoy a nice breeze and good service. If it's firework night (Wednesdays throughout the summer) then get here early because this is the best spot to see them from. Yes it gets crowded and people stay for a long time. Be warned that food is limited here. There are some great apps ( sweet potato fries ) but that's it. I believe the waiter told me that they get the food delivered from Watermark but no confirmation on that. 5 stars for $3 drink specials, no cover, great view, cozy atmosphere and good service! whenever we go, we never want to leave it's so relaxing!

Fantastic! We loved the live band on Thursday and met a great couple by sitting on the shared tables. The bartenders were attentive and kind. The view of the beach is unbeatable. I can't wait to go back!

The drinks are weak and slightly expensive, but the nachos were good and the view is amazing. Good variety of music as well. I had the much revered rum bucket. Even after pouring two extra shots (at $8 a piece plus the actual bucket set me back $14) I was without the slightest buzz. My friend had several top notch margaritas (4-5 of them at $12 each) and he too was plenty sober. Nachos brought enough to share. Service was ok but then again it was a lazy slow Wednesday night. It was a good spot to catch up with an old friend but I'm not sure I'd ever go out of my way to come here again.

Simple and fun bar with great view of beach.

If you want a casual drink overlooking the beach, this is your spot. The ambiance is fun and relaxed. Drinks are served in plastic cups and the bouncers are super strict about not taking cups (even water cups) out of the bar.

At 5:00 on a beautiful Sunday I ran into the most irritating issues possible. The bartender wearing a Hawaiian shirt told me that their kitchen was entirely closed. Not believing that, I asked a server and was surprised when she told me the complete opposite. Finally finding a free table and ordering multiple apps and entree my server returned to inform me that the kitchen was out of every app except the pico and guac. Horrible experience to start off the summer. My food came out less than 10 minutes after I ordered and it was cold and tasteless

Horrible food, 18 dollars for a watered down run bucket. Bartenders seem to operate in molasses, had to take our baby off the beach because baby's for some reason are not allowed on sand. If you want cafeteria food and shit service this is your spot

We came here for what is probably the last awesome weekend of the summer and it was bliis. We both ordered a dark & stormy with a beer chaser. They use actual Gosling's in their dark & stormy, so that's worth a star right there! We took our drinks down to the sand, took our shoes off and watched the sun set into the beautiful blue waves; it was a magical after work drink and I will remember it forever. Despite being a busy place, it's easy and quick to get a drink, the staff is awesome and they don't give you snide looks for paying with a credit card. Come to the Beach Bar, put your toes in the sand and have a drink for me!!

I went to Asbury Park for the first time ever with my boyfriend yesterday and I fell in love. It wasn't the nice beaches, it wasn't the interesting boardwalk, it wasn't the perfect temperature to go sunbathing. No, it was this magical creation he told me about that caused me to fall in love with this place. Rum Buckets. The Beach Bar is set on the outside of the Convention Hall so you get to have a nice ocean and beach view as you enjoy your drinks with a slight breeze going on too. There was a DJ playing, there were a good amount of people there and the service was very friendly! The Rum Buckets though. Guys. You need this in your life. First of all, they're $16 which I think is a little much, but then again it's the whole novelty of it. Plus there's GOOD amount of alcohol in there so the price kind of makes sense. So they pour a lot of Cruzan Rum in there over ice, then put some juices in there. From what I saw/tasted, there were hints of orange, mango, peach, and some other really fruity flavors. I had two buckets and I was GONE. I'm definitely coming back to Asbury next year and I'm DEFINITELY having a Rum Bucket again. Plus, it's literally on the beach. What more could you ask for?

Too bad such a nice beach has a bar with such an unfriendly staff as security. A woman behaves in a nasty way with me when they sell me a drink and tell me I have to leave in about 2 minutes after paying $15 on a big rum bucket. That woman could learn some manners. Also, I know I can't take drinks into the beach, but no ice because that woman says so? Go somewhere else in the boardwalk, much nicer places.

Love this bar. It's always a great time and the location is amazing. You can sit off the balcony and get tan or sit at the indoor bar or on a couch if you wanna cool off and drink. Our bartender Jess was amazing. Super funny, friendly and personable. She let me sample the wine before I purchased, very quality and classy service. I will keep coming back

This bar is dirty, dirty, dirty!! This is a bar basically right on the beach with a great view...so let's have some class here and make this place somewhat of a decent place to grab a drink. As soon as you walk in, it smells like piss. not sure because the public bathroom is right there or just people pissing on the floor. I ordered a beer and drank it so fast so I can get the hell out of that dump...I love myself a dive bar, but dive bar's are better then this junk of a place. What a shame, because the location of this place can't be beat...but I dont want to leave the bar smelling like piss so I will not be back here ever again.

Went here thinking it wasn't crowded and service might be better than our lunch spot. Boy, were we wrong! 1 waitress inside seemed overwhelmed even though there wern't very many full tables. I ordered fish tacos just to be told 20 minutes later they were out. So I asked for a menu again and didn't get one for another 20 minutes. I ended up just splitting my boyfriends meal. Food that came was ok. They charge $8 for a basket of average fries. That's $$. They don't give enough blue cheese for the amount of wings. I ended up going to the bar to get drinks because waitress would disappear. I paid $34 for two drinks, wings and fries and I didn't even get to eat dinner. In theory a cute spot but they have lots to work on.

Stopped by after the beach on a Thursday (early evening). It wasn't too crowded, a band was just setting up. There are some tables right on the sand. Hard to beat a place that's right on the beach! Would definitely come back for drinks anytime I'm in Asbury.

The beach bar .... a solid place to go people watch, listen to the jersey shores top play list , have fun drinks, and have crappy guacamole and chips for $13. I give this place 4 stars for the party ambiance and views ofnthe beach. I love coming here and when we are in asbury to enjoy drinks, we defintely Hit this place up! However, the last time we went we made the foolish mistake of ordering guacamole and chips (for 4 of us) at a costly buck. The chips were bland and the guacamole was definitely squeezed out of a tube that had been hanging jn the fridge for too long. It was possibly the worst guacamole ive ever had, and ill buy oremade store guacamole when I cant find ripe avocados, so I know bad guac! It was also a very small amount for a very pricey cost. When it arrived we all made a similar comment. With that said, I wknt let the guac keep me away from going to Beach Bar for drinks, loud music, and people watching. But I'll definitely avoid ever even thinking about getting food there, esp with the quality places for food on AP boardwalk!

Ah, Beach Bar. Been coming here since last summer and its a great spot to just sit and people watch and have a rum bucket (or 5). Nice spot right on the beach but this time, my boyfriend and I sat at the Anchors Bend to watch the USA v. Turkey soccer match and to get some grub. The place could use some sprucing up (chipped paint and dusty) but not a big deal for me. Ordered some grub - the poutine and naan pizza. Poutine was SO GOOD though different than I'm used to; added some roasted brussels sprouts and lardon. The naan pizza....eh, it was okay. But those rum buckets....

Absolutely loved this little hidden gem!!!! From the drinks to the service to the vibe this place was on point! You can find this place tucked around the convention hall right on Ocean Ave. Of course I had to try the specialty drink which is called a rum bucket. It was every bit as good as it sounds. A couple of different rums and juices all in a bucket you can take home with you. The bucket is roughly 4-6 drinks so sharing is a good idea. I also got to try the fish tacos, which were fantastic! Perfectly fried haddock with a jicama and cilantro slaw served with home made chips and a mango ketchup sauce! Truly delicious and the perfect quantity. Everything was so reasonably priced and quick! The bartenders were super friendly and really attentive even when the crowd started to grow. The vibe is very beachy since it IS right on the beach. You can wonder off the sand into the bar and its all very chill. They had a variety of music all with a mellow vibe. Not your typical "house" music that you'd here at other cluby type beach bars. Thats definitely a plus in my mind since I could actually hear my boyfriend talking to me while we had our drinks. Seriously could not be happier with this place. Will definitely be going back soon!

Great location - it's right inside Convention Hall. Make a right as soon as you enter the Hall (if you're walking towards it from MOGO) and there's usually a bouncer waiting to check your ID. Love the view of the beach, but the menu is really limited in terms of food - there's only 6 different options and I'd rather get something cheaper and more filling from one of the stands on the Boardwalk. The drinks menu has a bit more variety, but not by much. They offer a decent range of beers. Simply put, I'd come back for the atmosphere - it's still probably the best beach bar I've been to in Jersey though.

Nice view. Basic bar stock. Not sure if they offer food but u don't think so. Ordered a margarita and a Blue Moon. Had to grab my own cup and orange slice fir the beer. The margarita was in a small plastic cup and just average, both drinks were $14. Good for a quick beer but that's it.

One of my favorite bars. Right on the beach, you can walk up have a drink and enjoy everything from the music and ocean views. Love it!

Extremely rude and trashy staff - would never spend another dollar here. Their attitudes is exactly what gives jersey shore its stigma - all in their 20s with nothing better to do than go around and kick up a fuss. Unfortunate - obviously will never be back, and do not recommend - stay away.

Better than your average Beach Bar. This is not the beach bar you saw on MTV's Jersey Shore. Located right on the boardwalk at the edge of the water, this place has drinks, appetizers, good music, and a great view. Some indoor seating, but out on the balcony is where everybody wants to be. Cocktails are tasty and there's a decent beer menu. We've had food here before and although nothing to write home about, it's nothing to scoff at either. Bottom Line: Looking for drinks and a view, this is your place!

I cannot express how shocked I was to see this place land a 5 star rating. This is not to say I had a terrible experience or needed to alert the FDA on account of unsanitary conditions or anything of that nature, but this place is kind of a mess. If you consider the awesome location of The Beach Bar, it seems to me that the ease of creating an unmatchable, unforgettable adventure should flow naturally for any business owner with an ounce of entrepreneurship. Regrettably, the best description I can muster goes something like this: WASTED SPACE. The Beach Bar is nestled in an alcove of one of my very favorite NJ theaters, The Paramount, which is also co-located with one of my very favorite NJ music venues, Convention Hall. It overlooks the Asbury Park Beach, and has both indoor and outdoor bars. See? That sounds kind of awesome, right? You're thinking what I'm thinking: loads of potential. As far as the beer selection goes... well, it sucks. Now, it appears that if you require a bucket full of the hard stuff, equipped with a McDonald's type straw, you won't be disappointed. But because the restrooms on location are not suitable to manage large amounts of vomiting, in my opinion, I had to pass on this drink special. Perhaps the bucket could serve two purposes? The inside bar decor is really struggling. And by that I mean, it looks as though the miscellaneous crap hanging on the walls and from the ceiling doesn't even want to be there. Strange paintings that could have possibly been donated by a middle school amateur art class adorn walls, and someone call Johnson & Johnson because I know who stole all their cotton balls to construct some really pathetic-looking clouds to hang from their bar ceiling. Ewww. I don't get it. It's just one enormous eyefuck. Think of the most experimental band you've ever heard. You know, the one who embraces that dissonant sound that actually hurts your ears-- visually, this is like that times 10.

It's the antithesis of the Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant. No meatheads, just a chill atmosphere, with locals, hipsters, and tourists all there for what they do best, a strong drink. Look, if you're looking for a place to sit down and have a fancy drink made for you, dont go here. If a cool bar with a strong rum drink in a plastic cup is more your style, this is your place.

This place will never get old! Rum buckets are great! The view is fantastic. They could get a better food menu though, options are limited.

Not bad, although I expected the rum bucket to be more booze-y. Just as an FYI, the pork tacos are more like tostadas, which is not ideal if it is windy outside. I picked mine up and the wind blew lettuce all over my date (face, neck, and shirt were all in the line of fire) haha.

The Beach Bar opened four or five Summers ago and this place was great, an outdoor bar that runs along side of Convention Hall (you may have seen the Sopranos episode where a fish at a fish market speaks to Tony, that's where The Beach Bar is), nice comfortable seating with a selection of chairs at tables, couches and something like a bed with a canopy, areas in the sun and areas in the shade, the beach straight ahead, the ocean a little to your left...as comfortable and relaxing as it gets. We would be here most weekends in the Summer Last Summer a NYC bar, Max Fish, got involved and got rid of the comfortable furniture and replaced it with uncomfortable plastic chairs. We went twice the entire Summer. Summer of 2013 we hear that Max Fish is gone and they are bringing back the old Beach Bar with better food...kind of, sort of. The furniture is more like it used to be, but not the same. They had five selections on the food menu, not dinners, more like appetizers. The Pros: the beach is still straight ahead and the ocean is still on your left. The Cons: Beach Bar, when you brought in Max Fish you broke something, call it your mojo, you haven't fixed it and I'm not at all sure that you can.
