The Ancient Ram Inn

It was a unique experience. My daughter and I have really enjoyed the guidance of Paul and his colleague. We had 1 or 2 experiences, it was really scary but we also had a lot of fun. Would recommend to anyone who wants to spend a unique and wonderful night with friends or family. Will definitely go back.

A fantastic old building. Me and my friends stayed the night and had the whole inn to ourselves. So unique to spend so much time such an old building. Very spooky vibes. I’d totally recommend if you’re brave enough. Caroline and Tom were extremely helpful staff throughout the entire process. 10/10!

Know to be one of the most haunted places in the UK, The Ancient Ram Inn is a must-stop for any fan of the paranormal. Built on a Pagan site in the early 13th century, the Inn has a very dark background. With child sacrifices and the practice of Witchcraft, this is one location you want to investigate. Ghost tours are available, both guided and self-guided and start from £10. You can access its website by scanning QR codes in the windows of the Inn. Even though me and my partner didn't go in itself, we both experienced something. When you go up close to the building, your body temperature will start to drop extremely quickly and this causes the hairs on my arms to stand up the entire time. Another small encounter was while outside, we got the smell of smoke, we went on a warm day, and none of the locals had chimneys active, leading us to believe that it was coming from the Inn.

Paranormal event here. Was absolutely amazing and captured some incredible evidence. If you like the paranormal, then the Ram Inn is the perfect place to experience it. So much history associated and a great variety of events to book

Did the Saturday night ghost hunt last night and was not disappointed. Fascinating building. The hosts were great, got us involved with a variety of activities to communicate with the spirits of the Inn, had some interesting experience but I do think it would have been better with a smaller crowd. There was about 20 of us and we were split into two groups but sound travels a lot through the building and this potentially hampered things a bit in terms gathering evidence. Nevertheless, my partner and I had some interesting experiences and look forward to going back some day.

Absolutely amazing night, we visited as a party and there were other visitors but the events people were amazing. The building itself is spooky on its own, but the history makes it worth it. Not alot happened to us personally, except in the witches room and attic. Will definitely be going again.

This is an amazing place. We spent 6hrs here on the longest night of the year and the time just flew by. 18 of us all locked in from 9pm till 3am and the whole night was run by 2 organisers who did an amazing job of coordinating everything. Only one complaint; We booked through the website which was easy, but we had no communication, I emailed, called, text & WhatsApp with some questions before the event but no answer to anything. All in all a great night and nice to meet some cool people. We would definitely recommend doing this.
