I’ve been here a few times, and I have to say, it just keeps getting better! Ann-Marie and Emily are absolute stars, making the experience so warm and welcoming. The Cheese & Onion Pie was spot on, and I really enjoyed the apple crumble too. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was nice, and the service from the team was top-notch. Overall, it was a fantastic visit, and I can't wait to come back!

We stopped at the Angel last year and loved it so much we decided to stay again. We opted to stay in a nice double in the main building. The rooms are compact but sufficient for what you’d need. We stayed in room 2 just at the top of the stairs so great to roll upstairs and into bed after having a few drinks in the bar are. |Breakfast is good with plenty of choice and made to order. |A massive shout out to all the super staff and to thank them for sending back my iPad that I left in the hotel room. We will definitely be back again. 🤗

Really nice pub/hotel. We stayed for 2 nights with 2 small dogs. Super dog friendly, all the staff were lovely with the dogs and in our room they'd left bowls, treats, food and balls for them- really nice touch. In the bar in the evening, they gave us a pit of calming treats for the dogs and they slept so soundly after them, we will have to find buy some when we get home. Breakfast was delicious- really good full English. Our room was in the annexe over the road. It was really nice, everything we needed. So good we've booked again before we left. The only negative was the people in the room above us doing laps round their bedroom at 6am?!

We had a great time here. Props to Anne Marie, Dean (whisky expert) , and all the staff for making us and our two small dogs very welcome. Food was good. Location is great. Hotel is beautiful. Promotions require the Enigma machine to deconstruct. Thankfully, Anne Marie was on hand to guide confused punters through the process. The weekend deal was great value for money. Recommended without reservation

Fab little hotel with some great deals to explore and enjoy. Staff are an asset. Shout out to Anne Marie for decoding the complex special offers. Thanks to Dean for his whisky tour. Food is good and well-priced. It's a dog-friendly hotel and we brought two dogs. They approve - as do we. This is a moderately priced destination that offers great value. We would love to return one day

My husband and I with our little dog Timmy had a gorgeous couple days/nights in Windermere, staying at The Angel Inn. They were warm and welcoming and provided great service. They even offered Timmy a free breakfast each morning when we came down to have ours. The food was lovely and the Inn is literally smack in the middle of Windermere so close to everything you need whilst also still being quiet and having beautiful views. We 1000% plan to stay again

Cracking roast - so pleased to have found this place after failing to find a table in another v busy central pub. Much nicer atmosphere and the roast was superb and such good value for money . 100% recommend. The standard size roast was just right for us.

Yelp
Windermere is exceptionally charming, and the Angel Inn is the cream on the top. We stayed here for one night prior to embarking on a several day hiking adventure in the English lake district. After a train ride from London, we checked in and were immediately escorted to our rooms. It is a gorgeous, well appointed, old white cottage with seemingly unending English charm. The room included a queen bed with comfortable linens, en suite bath with a standup shower, in-room toiletries, coffee/tea service, and incredible views of the town of Windermere. Overall, it was very well appointed with modern features throughout. For dinner, we enjoyed the restaurant's evening special of sirloin and chips. We ordered it medium rare and it came cooked to medium. Prior to that we broke from English tradition, and ordered a very nice fruit & cheese plate for an appetizer. At the end of the meal, their sticky toffee pudding was quite rich and among the top four I've had in my life. They have a very lovely outdoor setting, complete with comfortable tables, that allow for glorious views of Windermere, both the town and the body of water. Angel Inn also has a guest lounge area, with comfortable sofas and chairs that allow you to warm yourself by their wood burning fireplace. It is within easy walking distance to the post office, co-op, Laundrette, and mere. It is a 1.6 mile walk, all downhill, from the Windermere train station. There are also bus routes to take you into town.

Yelp
Beautiful B&B, although it borders on a small boutique hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. It was easy to find and convenient to walk around town. My food was excellent. Essentially, Bangers and Mash.
