The hotel is a nice one in a fantastic location within easy walking distance of most of the neighborhoods and attractions you'd want to see. The staff was friendly, there's an elevator to easily get your bags up to the higher floors, and it was very convenient to have a restaurant on-site for easy breakfasts and/or quick dinners. The food was good, too. My one-bed room wasn't expansive, but it was enough space for my needs. There wasn't AC ... It was cool enough when I was there that I didn't really need it, but there was a Dyson fan in the room to help cool it if needed, and the window opened. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, good pressure in the shower, all that stuff. It was also pretty neat that every room was named after a notable Scottish person. I wasn't bothered by any noise at night when I was trying to sleep, even though the restaurant/bar did seem fairly busy and had live music on the weekends.

We stayed here our first night after flying to Scotland from the U.S. We had a nice room with a large bed. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was very good. It's a convenient location to Princess Street and the gardens below the castle. Also convenient to the Hop On Hop Off bus which was a great way to get oriented on our first day.

Awesome location, very friendly staff. They stored our bags as we arrived from the airport a few hours before check-in and we began our walk in the city. When we returned our luggage was in our room. Great service and extremely friendly staff!! Would stay again.

Stayed here for the Tattoo so very expensive for the time of year. Brilliant place to be though as handy for Princess St and the castle. Bedroom was a struggle as they had put 2beds together and there was about a 2inch gap between the desk and the bed so we had to move it. We couldn't find the over bed light switches to switch them off until we spoke to the cleaner the next day and they were hidden behind the bed . The shower flooded the bathroom as too powerfull. The room was well equipped and had tea and coffee and a mini bar. There was a distinct lack of plugs and for the ladies you couldn't get close to the mirrors to do your make up. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn't have bfast there so can't comment on the food. It was a great place to be for sight seeing.

I booked here on a visit to Edinburgh. It around the corner from the stunning Georgian House and the title of a film on wonderful Scottish single malt. ? Ken Loach directed. Love single malt. And Loach. This is more the tacky plastic flower experience that garland the tables outside. Units of alcohol in Scotland more expensive ref tax added ref many associated issues with the Scots population. So a cheap|wine quite expensive ref European standards Short tourist menu. Meaning a menu appealing only to the bus tours dropped off on the corner near Georgian House. Exclusively US pensioners. Nothing for any vegetarian. But a huge market for stale days old bread. First they sent it baked hard days old from the oven. Was hard enough to break a donkeys teeth. Next time not baked hard And stale. The last time less stale. But stale. Waitress tried to explain the bread was” baked” so not stale. Mmm. Mmm. A terrible awful tourist trap. Avoid and feel sad that corporate greed has made such an awful place to prey on visitors.

I loved this hotel, despite the AC ( there was a heat wave when we visited). Windows were able to be open for a nice breeze though! We loved the location, but next time I would stay more central Edinburgh so we could be close to shopping. The castle was about a 20 minute walk away, all uphill so please take note if you are not able to do so. The breakfast and coffee were fantastic in the hotel. We did not try the food for dinner, but the menu looked amazing. The room was a typical European room and is small, but we made it work. I loved the bed and found it extremely soft that I sunk into it, but my husband could not sleep since it was so soft. I would recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at Angels share Edinburgh! We were greeted by Collette who was absolutely amazing! She answered all our questions we had from the minute we walked in the door and made us feel so welcome after travelling so far!! We saw her working so hard all the time and we appreciated her taking the time out of her day to speak to us when we needed a hand with anything!!! Big thanks to Collette and the whole team!

Recent visit and very disappointed in the food. Steak was so tough you couldn’t put your steak knife through it. To be fair, I did mention to the lovely waiter and they waived the charge but the whole meal was cold…so was my husbands. Hot food should be served hot and not on cold plates….then the cheeseboard was served and we were given hot plates! My husbands main course was also cold, the potatoes were barely even warm. Lovely staff who were apologetic but has put us of going back.
