The food here is absolutely amazing. My hubby and I stopped in before a movie to try it out and we were very pleasantly surprised. We had the beef bulgogi fried rice and the chicken bulgogi tacos. The beef was tender and lean, which I was surprised at and the rice wasn’t too greasy. The egg was perfectly cooked so the yolk added to the sauce when it was broken. The tacos were also delicious. Also had a strawberry lemonade. Not sure why someone would complain about the price. This is what food costs now. $12 is more than fair for the great food you’re getting. We will be craving this in a week or so. The place is simple, but nice. Go give them your business. You’ll be back.

Google
This place was SOOOO yummy! We got a spicy pork & bulgogi bowl, & a Korean fried chicken appetizer. The staff was very nice, I made some modifications to my bowl which they happily helped with. The flavors were super good and it felt super authentic! Definitely would recommend.

$70 for two sandwiches, fries and some boneless Asian wings. No drinks. I will give them this, the sandwiches are good and they’re big. The boneless Asian wings are good too, but the parmesan truffle fries were bad. You stand at a kiosk to order, and can’t order a regular soda from the kiosk unless it’s in a can. The price is ridiculous for this kind of establishment.

Google
This place was really quite good. I got the beef bulgogi bowl with egg and sweet potato noodles and the Katsu fries. Both excellent. Had to order at a kiosk and clean up my own table. No big deal. The restaurant is pretty open and loud, but not more than you would expect at a place like this. Everyone behind the counter was helpful when I needed refills or extra sauce.

Google
New favorite Korean BBQ spot! The kimchi fried rice was so flavorful and I loved that it was served on a skillet. Stayed hot and the crunch from the rice was so good. I ordered the Korean BBQ flavor wings. Also SO GOOD. Crispy and delicious! I do wish they had a spicy and less sweet sauce flavor option for the wings. My sisters ordered the shrimp and chicken rice bowls with different additions and they both gave 5 stars!

First time for everyone in our group. We all ordered something different and everybody really enjoyed the food. I'm a pretty picky eater and my food was excellent. It is a bit pricey, but you get a lot of food. So the price is fair. The whole place was clean, even the bathroom. Definitely come back!

Google
I used to love this place. I’ve been here about a dozen times, and the food is great! They recently jacked up their prices to the point where it no longer feels like the food is worth the price, so unfortunately I’ll be taking this restaurant out of my regular rotation.

Google
Came on a date with my husband on a Friday night. Ordering was quick and easy at a touchpad. Food took a minute to come out, but was delicious. We ordered the katsu chicken bowl and the junkyard fries. The chicken was a little too crispy for me, but both dishes were delicious and I can’t wait to return to try other dishes.

Yelp
Visited the Angry Korean while in West Jordan, Utah and it was amazing! We both had the Sweet And Tangy Fried Chicken Bowl! The bowls had Crispy fried chicken glazed in a sweet and tangy sauce, served with steamed rice, fresh lettuce, and pickled red cabbage, topped with a drizzle of creamy dressing and sesame seeds! Absolutely delicious! We ordered and paid at the kiosk which I really like! The food was ready quickly and was nice and hot! You clean off your own table which I'm totally fine doing! It was a really delicious meal in a super clean environment!

Yelp
My dish was pretty good! A classic sweet and sour chicken with white rice and a side salad. I think the only thing I would've liked was if the cold salad was not touching the hot rice and chicken. To me, salad should be eaten separately from the protein/grain, but that's a personal preference. The service was what you'd expect from 2 chefs cooking for everyone that walks in. The ambiance felt a little empty and it left something to be desired.

Yelp
Food was okay. I thought service could have been better. I had high hopes because I like Korean food. Others may find the place a higher rating.

Yelp
The Angry Korean restaurant in the district exceeded my expectations. Situated in a great location, the portion sizes were satisfying, leaving me unable to finish my plate. The flavors were delectable, especially with the Beef Bulgogi and spicy chicken and beef bowls. The service was remarkably swift, the restaurant maintained cleanliness, and the use of high-quality ingredients was visible. Authenticity was endorsed by my Korean friend who attested to its genuine taste. A must-try for those seeking a delightful and genuine Korean dining experience!

Yelp
Honestly the food was so good but I walked away paying $30 for lunch for 1 person (spicy pork bowl, side kimchi, and a drink). Gonna be really hard to come back.

Yelp
I don't know if this is a real Korean foods then I must have been eaten at the wrong Korean restaurant. I am sorry to say, there was nothing Korean food (flavor) about. cleanness A+ quick service A+ I don't say it is a bad food. it is decent and looks pretty but if you looked reviews and come for a real Korean foods, you might be disappointed if you are traditional Korean foods lover like us. Clean the table after you eat and tip before hands? also questionable.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place out for a while! Interesting setup with minimal interaction with the restaurant workers. We enjoyed our bowls and thought it was a delicious meal. However, we were sad to see that there's no soup option on the menu; and the chicken wings were okay-good. Worth the try though it is not my most favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
Check out the before and after pictures. Before, chicken n rice + salad, looking real good. After, completely gone. Food is outstanding and freshly made to order. This is not "fast food", although I was in and out in about 30 minutes. $13 for meal and large coke. Impressive how they operate this business with technology to place orders.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
The prices almost scared us away it seems pretty steep to pay $20 for a rice bowl that has bulgogi, eggs, and noodles. We opted out of the extras for that very reason but the food was still super impressive! It beats the socks off any other Korean rice bowl you can get from similar restaurants. We've been wanting to come here for a while and I'm glad we finally made the trip. The prices and location might be the reason we don't come back soon but it's a good option to have when we are in the district.

Yelp
As an Angry Korean myself, I didn't think there was anything good enough for me in my area, until I discovered the actual Angry Korean restaurant. This is the perfect amount of food and love how everything is blended in a bowl with the bulgogi and rice and salad. Great comfort food without feeling too compromised to do anything else throughout the day. The little add ons are great with their Kim chi and pickled cucumbers. I'm coming here again!

Yelp
I will change this once I get the Mandoo I ordered. Tried calling to tell them and talk but got an automated message with no option to talk to someone.

Yelp
If you're craving Korean but don't need an all-you-can-eat meat buffet, this is a great place. The servings run on the larger side so you definitely get a good amount. I love their bulgogi bowl and the japchae. Always get a side of kimchi! The inside is pretty big and can accommodate small and larger groups. You order through a screen so if you're not feeling like a people person, you don't have to speak to anyone really to get your order. but you can definitely speak to someone if you need help.

Yelp
Yay for local Korean food!! When I walked into the Angry Korean, my first thought was "Wow, it's so clean in here!!". This place is very well kept. I liked the self-order kiosk and pickup window situation they have. Fast, efficient, and great for those who are more introverted! After chatting with chef about which bulgogi beef dish is more popular, I decided on the deluxe Bulgogi Bowl and you can tell in the picture it was a beautiful sight to behold. I really enjoyed my noodles and the egg and rice. I love bulgogi beef so much so that I ordered extra on the side but unfortunately that was the let down of the dish for me. It wasn't bad, however in my opinion it wasn't as flavorful as other bulgogi beefs I've had in the past. Maybe it'll be different another go around. I would love to come again! I think next time I will give the garlic/ginger chicken bowl a try. Check this place out!

Yelp
It was pretty good! We came when it wasn't busy. Got a couple bowls, the bulging I quesadilla and the junkyard fries. Our favorite was the spicy pork bowl and junkyard fries but I enjoyed it all. Plenty of seating, nice and clean. Very well located across from the theater and next to a Coldstones for dessert afterwards. Definitely recommend giving it a try, especially if you like Korean fusion!

Yelp
We had an amazing time with 3 young kids. You order through a kiosk, which I loved. You can take your time ordering without holding up an employee. Their service is great, though, if you need human help The kids loved the neon signs all around the seating area. The bathrooms are always so clean! The food is delicious, and you usually have leftovers for later. Their bulgogi is divine. Their fries are so crispy and delicious, especially with their slightly spicy, almost fry sauce. I try to stop here whenever I'm in the area. The fried rice was perfect and had a good amount of veggies.

Yelp
Wow wow wow wow wow! South Jordan is lucky to have this place because it was certainly worth the hour plus drive for us to get to. We ordered two rice bowls: a chicken katsu and beef bulgolgi bowl. Both were stacked to the rim and so tasty and fulfilling, but our favorite was the chicken katsu bowl. They came out quickly after we ordered at the kiosk but it was also absolutely dead for a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend their food! I know we'll be back soon!

Yelp
About twice a week I order delivery and pay the $15-20 more for the delivery. I have usually been disappointed. It's dry, cold , yucky. But today I ordered Angry Korean and everything was hot and delicious I usually buy several days worth since it's so costly to deliver but I want to eat all 3 ordered right now. Th egg and rice are a great compliment. The dumpling are set in a bed of shinny noodle that are just perfect. The chicken and beef are delicious The spicy pork is my least favorite becuz it was too hot for my taste. This is the only place I'm going to order out from.

Yelp
was happy to come across this place after a long day of driving! it wasn't busy when we went, food came out in a decent amount of time and was perfectly delicious and filling (i believe i got the garlic chicken). only other thing that i have to note is that they only have chopsticks and plastic forks - no actual silverware. which is totally fine, just making mention! loved this place and it would be somewhere that i would go occasionally if i lived near by :)

Yelp
You walk in and order from the POS (Point Of Sale) machines located on your left. If using cash, you go directly to the "window" located past the POS machines. You seat yourself and when they call out your name, you pick up your order. There are half sheet pans available on the bar type table near where you pick up your food. You can use the pans as your tray to put your drinks and dishes on and carry back to your table. When done eating, you take the dishes toward the hallway that has a trash container and rolling shelves to put your dirty dishes on. The food was good. My sister loved her beef bulgogi that she added sweet potato (glass) noodles to (additional charge) . I ordered chicken katsu rice bowl. Added 2 mandu and a fried egg for an additional charge. The mandu was vegetarian and wasn't the best I've tasted although my sister enjoyed them a lot. I feel like chicken katsu is hit or miss at places. At Angry Korean it was a miss for me. It did not taste made to order, but rather like it had been made ahead of time and was sitting under a heat lamp. The side of chopped lettuce it came with had a very yummy peanut dressing. I tried my sisters bulgogi bowl and I would come back for the bulgogi bowl. The cheese fries were also a miss for me. The spice seasoning was good. The fries were meh and the generic nacho cheese sauce was not for me. I also had a mango lemonade which all totaled to $46.75 The two gentlemen who worked there were very nice and accommodating. Thanks for lunch Angry Korean.

Yelp
This place is an introverts dream. You walk in and there are tablets to place your order on and water is self served. When your food is ready they just call out your order number or name and that's all the human contact really required. I had planned on getting the salmon bowl, but I didn't see it on the menu when I was ordering. Due to this, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl with a strawberry lemonade. The rice bowl was great and the foods presentation looked great as well! The flavors were excellent and I would recommend stirring everything together before eating so you're not stuck just eating rice when you get to the end. The lemonade was super sweet. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so I wasn't a big fan of it. I actually ended up adding some water to it to be able to drink it. The experience was great and they have condiments and utensils near the pick up window so you can get everything you need. I'll definitely be going back to try more!

Yelp
Yummy and big variety on the menu. Large portions. Family enjoyed this. I drove by it twice before I found the location.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I ordered the fried rice bowl with chicken katsu, my wife ordered the bulgogi bowl, and we ordered the fried chicken appetizer. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food, but it was worth the wait. The flavor was exceptional and nearly licked the bowls clean. It had a modern industrial ambiance with LED screen menus. You can either order on touchpads if you are paying with card or order at the counter when paying with cash. The staff was friendly. We will be back again!

Yelp
I've had Korean food in quite a few major cities like SF, LA and NY. When I saw this place I was skeptical, and was ready for "okay" food. Pppfffttt ‍ boy oh boy was I wrong! The ordering process was very easy, we used the self service ordering. The food AMAZING! The flavors the quality all of it!! I highly recommend that if you go, go all out! Get the extra Kimchi! Get the fried egg on top! Do it!! Do it! Do it!!
google avatar

Mei T.

Yelp
Someone please bring me a bucket of water! The food here, while flavorful, was intensely salty! We ordered the Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl ($15.99) and Beef Bulgogi Soft Tacos ($13.99). Everything tasted good, except the star ingredient: the beef bulgogi. It was so incredibly salty that it tasted nasty! The chef really needs to get his taste buds checked. I don't know how anyone can eat this meat!!... It's such a shame because I really liked the concept and the portion sizes were great for the price.
google avatar

Bren C.

Yelp
The food was delicious and it was so on point! We've come back and each time it was just as good as the last. The service is pretty good, it does take a little bit more time but for a great reason. The portions are very nice and it takes time to put a presentable dish on the table. The ambiance is nice too!
google avatar

Dimple S.

Yelp
You walk in and order on the kiosk. They have a pick up area. It's all open space and you take care of your own food/table. The food is made hot and fresh. It's on the price your side of being $18 a bowl, that being said the food is really good quality and generous protein. Shrimp rice bowl 10/10 - loved this it had noodles, white rice, salad, marinated purple cabbage coleslaw, tons of spicy battered shrimp this was the star of the show, a fried egg, & dumplings. Bohemian drink - lime and pomegranate. Was delicious! Not too sweet perfect combo & refreshing!
google avatar

Yelp
We have been recommended by friends to come here and we waited too long! It was so good. The service was a little slow, but it's cooked fresh, well worth the wait. The restaurant was clean. The service was super friendly. We will definitely be eating here again!

Yelp
I decided to try this place since I was in the area and saw that it had 4.5 stars. I walked in and was surprised that it was a self-order (iPad) restaurant. Nobody was here to greet us or take our order. There was also nobody around the tables. There were only two people working in the kitchen. The meal was about $12 per person, which wasn't bad. I looked at my meal and was immediately disappointed. The spicy sauce was not mixed in like it usually is, and everything looked pretty bland. The japchae was very plain, tasted just like sesame oil with two pieces of bell peppers. The meat was a little dry and the spicy sauce was a bit overpowering. The salad was also very average, and I wish there was more rice. I've had lots of Korean food before and this definitely didn't hit the spot.

Taliesin C.

Yelp
Any time I need an original salad with protein that would be friendly to your health ... chose this place. I have always come back for more.
google avatar

Yelp
Not sure, exactly, what they are angry about.... their food is delicious and they should be happy with that! Awesome little food spot in South Jordan doing their spin on Korean food with some non-traditional items (enter the Korean Philly). My favorite here is the Bulgogi bowl. The meat is so tender and flavored extremely well. Value for $ is extremely good and a decent priced meal will leave you very satisfied. Wings are outstanding and the tacos are on the short list of "must try" on a future visit. The restaurant makes ordering convenient with a POS system at the entrance that is really user friendly. There is a large menu with pictures above them for the novice (me) to see what the heck it is you are ordering. Enter your order, swipe you card, wait for your name to be called. Restaurant was VERY clean and there is a lot of seating if you choose to dine in.
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken katsu was not good. Too try and loaded with condiments. Will go elsewhere. Service was good though.
google avatar

Nate S.

Yelp
Loved this place! I've had the standard "Americanized" version of Korean food aka: CupBop, but this place is the real deal. It's in an unassuming strip mall and nothing to look at from the outside but this place is all about the flavors and fresh food. It's a self-serve, order from a kiosk but it's a VERY easy ordering process with menus and photos to help you along. The place is large, clean and Altho it lacks a bit in decor, it makes up for it with outstanding food. We got the spicy pork, the chicken Katsu and pork buns. Portions are LARGE--A bowl could feed 2. Everything we had was really flavorful, fresh and just really great. Absolutely worth the visit!
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time eating at the Angry Korean. Did not disappoint! Plenty of variety and plenty of options for those taste pallets. Will be back for sure!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Another great place for covid-conscious customers. You order at an iPad by the front and pay there too so there's no human interaction at all. Plus the place was empty at lunch time, besides one other customer who sat far from us and had a mask on while he waited for his food plus the guy who brought our food out had a mask on. Also they don't have indoor dining after 3. I really loved the meat in my beef bulgogi bowl! Super thinly sliced so it was easy to chew and I liked the sweet and savory flavor of it. I didn't realize I was already getting an egg on it because the ordering instructions were confusing (my friend made the opposite mistake- assumed her bowl would come with kimchi so she didn't pay the extra fee... and ended up getting no kimchi) so I ended up with 2 eggs. Which is fine because they're good haha. And the mandoo were exquisite! I liked that this bowl came with a little of everything. Tasty and filling!! As much as I wanted to order more stuff, I'm glad I didn't because I couldn't have eaten any more!!

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time last week. This showed up when I typed in vegan into the Yelp search engine but I don't think I can recommend this if you are looking for vegan. Vegetarian options yes, but probably not vegan. I ordered the veggie mondu and my guest had the chicken bulgogi. The mondu was fried and extremely flavorful, chrispy on the outside, and the sauce drizzled over it was a really nice accent to it all. Really delicious. I think the dumpling portion was made with egg so again not vegan. But delicious if vegetarian is your think. My guest loved his chicken bulgogi and the salad it came with was incredibly fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that they don't seem to staff well. There were several tables that had empty dishes on them because the place to put your empty dishes was completely full. The wait for our two item order also took 30 minutes. That's far too long which tells me they aren't adequately staffed for the traffic. So just keep that in mind if going there.

Michael R.

Yelp
The service is horrible. iPad to take your order no way to make anything custom if you don't want something on your order. They never have the food come out at the same time. My gf was done before my food came to the table. I never want to give them any of my money again.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
I think this place is good don't get me wrong ! I personally just think the sauces are a little sweeter than I like! My family did love this place tho!

Yelp
The ownership will now nickel and dime you for everything. This used to be a great place, but our last several visits have gotten absurd. For example, they have now taken the chicken katsu menu item and stripped out several of the individual items that came with that dinner. Don't fear, you can still get it the way you used to however, you now have to add all the components back in ala carte and for an additional expense. So on top of raising the menu price of the original dish, you now get less for more, or a WHOLE lot more if you want the version the way it used to be with the egg, salad, etc. Want a side of dipping sauce with the meal? Yep, that's now extra too. Look, we get that the pandemic messed up everything and everyone is raising their prices. When you start pulling this kind of crap though, you just piss off your customers. Had you just raised the menu price a few dollars, we wouldn't have had a problem with it. Also, now you cannot walk-in and ask them to prepare an order to go. You also can't phone an order in anymore. That's right, if you want take-out, you need to place the order online. Guess what? There's a charge for that too. I am wondering when they are going to start charging for the container the food comes in. Sadly I won't be back to find out when that happens.

Lambros P.

Yelp
I recently dined at The Angry Korean and tried the katsu with rice bowl and the tacos. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared, with the katsu being crispy and flavorful, and the tacos offering a unique and tasty twist. The service was friendly and efficient, making for a great overall experience.

Phamhong G.

Yelp
I'm from out of town, was craving Asian food and this exceeded my expectations. I got the shrimp bowl to-go which wasn't even a bowl; it was a 3 compartment plate with a lot more food than I expected, the portion size was big and they were generous with the shrimp. A bowl could feed 2 people. The shrimp had a delicious texture and flavor, and everything else complemented each other so well. I would come back here if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Very tasty, but gets a star off because it's super expensive. The cheapest meals on the menu are $12 and they climb steeply from there. Grilled tofu for $17? In Utah? Their shrimp bowl is $19. I don't know if it's just inflation or this is a niche place, but just be aware. The serving sizes are fairly large though, large enough for two people and not walk away stuffed. I'd definitely go back, but gotta budget for it first!

Mark F.

Yelp
Food is always good. A little pricey for a mostly self-serve place, but still worth the trip especially for the rice bowls (bibimpap) and pulgogi tacos.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
This place isn't bad, but for the money, I was expecting more. The food wasn't bad, it came out quick and it was hot and tasty, but a Philly and a bowl cost us over $30, and we didn't get any drinks. The soda fountain is behind the counter so you'd have to ask each time you want a refill. You also bus your own tables and are expected to wipe them down too. I don't have any problem with that, but I just don't think the price matches the quantity, quality or service.
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
I'm going to give a 3 out of 5 only because of price, the Beef Bulgogi was $18 alone which is a big expensive for what you get. The food super really really good, the kimchi is so good and the dumplings as well as the main meal which was the beef bulgogi. % great food but I most likely will not come again because of price. I cook go to a Korean BBQ for about the same and get much more food
google avatar

Alexcy G.

Yelp
The Angry Korean will always be one of my top favorite places to eat. The staff is always nice! Ordering is made easy of the IPad. The seating area is clean and spacious. My meal always comes out fresh and tastes delicious.
google avatar

Tracie L.

Yelp
A little pricey for what you get in terms of portion size. We go the japchae with garlic/ginger chicken and there was barely any japchae. The beef bulgogi rice bowl meal was better portioned than the japchae dish. Overall flavor of the food was very good and they had it ready fast. I wanted to try their korean fried wings, but they said they no longer have wings on the menu anymore. Would come here if i'm craving kbbq, but don't want to go to an ayce resturant

Maz H.

Yelp
Low quality meat. Chewy chicken. Too sweet sauce no enough spices or flavor wouldn't recommend for the price

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying this place, but had a subpar meal. First of all, the owner/staff really lives up to the namesake of being angry people (1 star off). We had a nut allergy in the group and I asked the man who was working there what dishes do not have nuts. He angrily told me that he cannot guarantee any allergies, because things can cross-contaminate. Fair enough, I told him I understand, and proceeded to order several dishes that does not contain any nut ingredients. Most Korean food does not have nuts, so it's not a big deal. When we went to the pick up window for our food, this man went as far as telling us we should not be ordering any of their food because we have a nut allergy. Then he goes so far to tell us we are being recorded on video that we acknowledge this (okay...) and to sign a form saying we will not sue them if we develop an allergic reaction (!!!) This just seems extreme. So basically, we were told to not order their food and asked to sign paperwork to not sue them before we even received our food. No restaurant has ever done this to us (1 star off). When we got our food, it wasn't very good. The Garlic-Ginger Chicken didn't even have garlic or ginger flavors; it tasted like expired chicken that was quickly marinated in soy sauce or something (1 star off). Similarly, the Grilled Tofu didn't even seem grilled (1 star off). Both of those dishes tasted like something that was left in a cafeteria for a long time. To be fair, we did enjoy the Korean Fried Chicken Wings, although the portion was very small. I don't know if SLC just has no other Korean food options or locals just do not know what Korean food is supposed to taste like, but this place does not deserve such high ratings. I have eaten a lot Korean food and know many Koreans...their food is amazing and they are *not* angry! Update to add: The owner just sent me a nasty note for my review...not surprised one bit.

Yelp
Zero Stars - Tried calling restaurant, no one answered phone. We decided to drive over to the restaurant and it was open. Went in to order and the guys said he was out of food and there were just a couple of starter options. He seemed like he didn't really care and that he didn't care that we drove there for no reason. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for and felt like he was pushing me out the door instead of trying to help. Won't be coming back to The Angry Korean any time soon....... Doesn't seem like they need our business anyways as they were already out of food!
