The Ann Savannah Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"A modern retreat with deep Southern roots, this all‑suite hotel marries minimalist design with subtle nods to Savannah’s architectural heritage—its muted greens, soft blues, and warm neutrals echo the Owens‑Thomas House, while timber frame beams imported from Austria add tactile warmth to the otherwise contemporary aesthetic. With 157 suites ranging from studios to four‑bedroom lofts, the open‑concept layouts feel residential thanks to full kitchens, coffee makers, and in‑unit laundry—ideal for extended stays—layered with linen sheets, wood accents, and locally inspired artwork and photography that capture the city’s coastal light. Lifestyle‑forward amenities set an effortless tone: unwind by the outdoor pool and sun deck, keep pace at the spacious main‑floor fitness center, take advantage of valet parking, and bring four‑legged companions under the pet‑friendly policy. On‑site, the Little James café and restaurant covers breakfast through dinner for easy fueling or unwinding, while the lobby stocks grab‑and‑go bites. Set on the west end of the Historic District, the address places SCAD, live‑oak‑lined streets, Jones Street window‑shopping, and the riverfront within a brisk walk or short ride, delivering a modern, elevated, community‑centric stay at a starting rate around $139." - Ruby Gregg

Big thank you to Nick, Whitney, Jaron, and the entire housekeeping team for this wonderful stay at The Ann Savannah, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. We are traveling from New York to Key West, and this was by far the best stop along the way. We stayed three nights and truly cannot say enough positive things about the apartment. It is very stylish and high-quality in its design, extremely quiet, and generously sized. There is plenty of storage space, a washer and dryer, a beautiful kitchen, a cozy living area, and very comfortable beds. Dishes and cutlery are a bit limited, but thanks to the excellent dishwasher (with tabs provided, as well as detergent for the washing machine), this was absolutely not an issue. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Nick was able to accommodate a special request at check-in, for which we are very grateful. We will definitely come back. For us, this is the first address in Savannah. Oh—and the location is great as well: the Historic District is only a five-minute walk away. Valet parking is somewhat expensive, so we recommend the nearby and very affordable Robinson Parking Garage run by the city. Thank you again for a fantastic stay. Five stars.

My stay at the Ann Savannah Hotel was exceptional. I want to give special recognition to Whitney, who truly deserves accolades. We experienced a brief misunderstanding, and Whitney handled it with professionalism, care, and genuine kindness. We mutual acknowledged the misunderstanding and she resolved the matter promptly. Her leadership and customer service made a lasting impression. The hotel itself is a beautifully repurposed warehouse—spacious, thoughtfully designed, and ideal for any length of stay. Little James is a hidden 💎 gem. The menu met my needs perfectly, and I enjoyed breakfast there each morning. The live band on Friday night was a breath of fresh air, adding warmth and culture to the experience. A heartfelt thank you to Jazz the bartender, along with Josh and James, for excellent service and hospitality. Overall, this was a standout stay. Whitney’s commitment to service excellence elevated the entire experience and should be formally recognized. I will absolutely return.

Very nice concept from Marriott. The apartment has a warehouse design with high ceilings, concrete floors and wood ceilings and frames. Room was spacious with plenty of closet space, washer and dryer, fridge, stove and dishes. Parking is $50 a day for valet so do yourself a favor and use the lot 2 minutes away across from the courthouse. The Riverwalk is about a 12 minute walk. I was originally put off by the bus depot across the street but the building is located in a mixed neighborhood and we had no problems. Their restaurant, Little James, is across from their building but has a very limited food menu and really feels like an exceptional waste of property, which is why it's usually empty and even closed early when we were there. Other restaurants are within walking distance and again, river is within a 10 to 12 minute walking distance. Katie was exceptionally polite and helpful! Kudos to her. The other front desk person, not so much. This is an extended stay concept so there is no daily housekeeping. Keep that in mind. Overall, nice concept from Marriott and I would stay again.

This was my first time staying here. I have stayed at 8 different hotels in Savannah. I was very impressed with the place and will definitely return. Pros. - New hotel, very classy, big spacious rooms, quiet and safe, very dog friendly and descent location( right next to The Grey restaurant). Nice restaurant on premises. Front desk was helpful when we inquired about a 4 bedroom to the point that they actually showed us the room . Very accommodating. Cons.- Parking is $50 a day and don't expect the valet to tell you there is a self parking lot 2 minute walking distance from front, even after you ask him. Not good. You need a fav to use the pool which is across street (no biggie) however the fav didn't work and there was not effort to correct it so we didn't see the pool. The location is one block from a sketchy area of town so there is a little more homeless presence than other hotels, however we never felt uncomfortable because we are early birds so I can assume later at night it gets worse. Ill definitely put this place on my rotation of Savannah hotels for future stays.

This week, I stayed at The Ann while working in Savannah on a project. ||The apartment styled hotel was fresh, trendy, and incredibly comfortable - providing a welcome break from a “hotel room”. ||My unit was a one bedroom “suite” which included a well appointed kitchenette, living room, space bath and bedroom, and washer / dryer. The bedding and furniture was very comfortable and sound level quiet. ||Amenities include a spacious and well appointed gym, coffee shop / bar, and very short walk into river-front district of Savannah. ||The staff were all incredibly professional with lots of interaction at valet and front desk on my daily departures and returns (Reggie!). Great use of technology with valet as well - very efficient!||Although ideal for a longer visit, in January, I plan to host our full team of 20 here for one night - using a combination or 1/2/4 bedroom units. ||Highly recommended - 5 Stars!

The Ann is new to the Marriott family and is absolutely AMAZING. Location is perfect. Rooms are like a small one bedroom apartment. Lots of room and super clean and extremely comfortable. Valet attendants were very helpful and amazing. Ish was the BEST Valet and welcomed us with a big smile.

I understand this is not a 5 star hotel, and I’m usually very easygoing. However, during the Wednesday night shift around 11:00 PM, I experienced extremely rude service from the front desk associate. around 11:25 in the night, we switched rooms because the AC wasn’t working, I was polite and patient about it, but she was already very cold and dismissive. I brushed it off. i don’t mind. Later, I called the front desk kindly asking if they had tea or anything warm available because my husband is sick and Walgreens was already closed. Instead of trying to help, she immediately responded in a rude tone: “Whatever is in the room.” I told her we only had coffee, and she replied, “Then you have to go out and buy it.” I explained everything was closed, that was the reason I was calling (even thought i told her at the beginning of the call) and she still offered no help or empathy. I completely understand if the hotel has limited amenities at night, but basic kindness and customer care should always be part of the experience. There are many people who would appreciate having a job like this, especially when guests are being polite and genuinely need help. Her attitude made a stressful situation so much worse, we are only staying the night and I hope management addresses this so future guests receive the hospitality they deserve. It’s looks like a new hotel and it’s really nice and the hospitality needs to match the aesthetic of the hotel!

The Ann Savannah truly felt like a home away from home. I was a little leery at first about being near a bus terminal, but the property felt completely secure. The valet experience with Reggie was top tier. The interior of the property looked like something out of a magazine. I would absolutely stay here again. It has the comfort of an apartment setup while still offering all the amenities of a hotel.
