Sarah and Ashley(sorry if I spelled your names wrong) were AMAZING! Overnight on our way home and my daughter found this delightful cocktail bar. Fun cocktail menu and they are the fun mixologists who know their stuff and can whip up some yummy cocktails. Cocktails are reasonably priced. Thanks for such a fun memory!

Google
This is a really nice craft-cocktail bar. The cocktail quality and variety could remind one of a speakeasy - but then again the decor nor layout really resembles a speakeasy. But it is a great place for cocktails. For sure. The food is really good and tasty too. The service is on the spot. We shared the garlic humus, the meat balls 😋 and the vegetarian dish. Maybe the only minus is that it was tomato’s from a can used in the veggie dish - not fresh tomatoes. Definitely a place to visit.

Google
Recommended from everyone we talked to in Flagstaff and easy to understand why. Very cool cocktail program paired with excellent service, don't miss it

Google
Phenomenal craft cocktail bar in the heart of historic Flagstaff! In the tradition of a classic prohibition-era speakeasy, each cocktail is exquisitely produced with house-made ingredients and exceptional spirits. Part of the "That Place" group, The Annex is housed in a beautifully restored flagstone building the staff is outstanding, very knowledgeable, and exceptionally accommodating! Not to be missed!

Google
There are plenty of places to get a drink in town and a bite to eat but this place offers a bit of class and thoughtful atmosphere. Smaller indoor seating area but options to also sit at the bar. Large outdoor patio with fire pits and live music to gather with friends. Superbly made crafted cocktails intact the best we had while in town. All mixed with friendly staff and great food options from the burgers to truffle popcorn for a small bite to snack on. Gotta admit we went back twice and didn’t have a bad time. Group favorite had to be the truffle fries and popcorn for food and drinks hands down was the Royal Divorce!!! Cheers!!

Google
The vibes were immaculate- outdoor & indoor seating with games and ambient lights, AND great music. Personally, i dont like sweet drinks, so their cocktail menu was not really my thing BUT it looked snazzy. I did request a smokey old fashioned & the bartender understood the assignment !!! also didnt get food but the table by us did & the food looked soooooooo good.

Google
We stopped in for Arizona Restaurant Week and had a delicious three course meal that absolutely blew us away. The flavors on every dish were rich and you really wanted to savor each bite. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I'd come back to The Annex anytime.

Google
We experienced an entertaining evening with cocktails and a live musician in the uniquely decorated outdoor setting at The Annex Cocktail Lounge. Our entrées were delicious. My husband had a great fish and chips order. I ordered the chicken pot pie. It had large chunks of chicken, vegetables, and a delightful lemon flavor that I’ve never had before. It was very tasty and the crust was perfect-flaky and crisp. Unfortunately, the craft cocktails didn’t hit the mark and the greens and lime wedge were limp/old. I would go there again, but probably select wine for my beverage.

Yelp
Smash burger bun was incredible. And I'm not a bread fan. The bartender was crafting uber unique cocktails; you know, Really interrogating guests for information to make a super personalized and awesome alcoholic experience for each guest. Fun to listen to the conversations and questions she came up with others at the bar. Live music was great. And when that ended st 9pm, the house music playlist was even better--super cool and

Yelp
Food was good but service was sketchy, not enough wait staff. Very limited menu. It's a bar/restaurant.

Yelp
A LOVELY BAR! We had a great time sipping on multiple drinks at this bar. The bartender was very friendly and helped us pick out our drinks based on flavors we like. Their menu here is very interesting, with different unique drink recipes made by the different bartenders on staff. I loved to see that creativity shine! Drinks also seemed cheaper than across the railroad tracks, heck yeah! We did not indulge in food, but the food that did come out from the kitchen smelled absolutely delicious, we will definitely be coming in for a meal next time we're in town.

Yelp
Fantastic service. Complex yet simply amazing cocktails. Barb was a phenomenal bartender. She gave us a history crash course of how this bar came out and why it has such unique architecture. Food portions were actually much larger than I thought- yelp says this is tapas. Prices were so reasonable (coming from DC area.) We had nachos and smashburger. Generous amount of guac on nachos. Keep it that way y'all! The vibe was very cozy and cool. I liked the dark farmhouse interior design. I'm so happy we stopped here!

Yelp
Super small intimate bar. I forgot the name of my drink but it was tequila based and just okay. I didn't care too much for it. I will say our server was great and attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
google avatar

Yael G.

Yelp
Really fun, creative drinks! Pretty cozy place and the food is good, too. My favorite drinks were the BBL and Rocky Shores. Fast and friendly service. I was just in town for a night and heard this was the best bar in Flagstaff; glad I stopped in.
google avatar

Yelp
Great cocktail lounge with great vibes. We came in and they had a band playing. It was super busy so the service was slower, but it was friendly. Definitely will come back if I'm in town.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by Annex Cocktail Lounge for a couple drinks during a weekend Flagstaff getaway. We went on a Monday night so it wasn't busy at all - we were able to get a table immediately. The ambience was really comfortable. They have a diverse variety of drink options in their booklet-style menu. Definitely something for every palate. We actually couldn't decide which ones we wanted so the bartender chose for us! Bartenders were awesome btw - super helpful and friendly. We ended staying about an hour and had two drinks each and that was perfect - left happy and buzzed on our way to dinner. Definitely check this place out, I would return in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Fantastic drinks and ambiance! Amazing infusions and crafty cocktails with a cadre of bartenders.

Yelp
I travel the country I like finding bars like this. Amazing, the delicate layers of flavors. I normally do not post but felt the need to, for this great place. Make this on your bucket list for flagstaff. You will love the approach and the local feel. Haven't been wowed in a long time.

Yelp
Just stopped in for appetizers and drinks. We tried the Brussel sprouts which were excellent. All four cocktails off their eclectic and creative menu were also excellent. It's a joy to watch a bartender who knows what he is doing and takes the time to make you a craft cocktail.

Emma S.

Yelp
This is such a fabulous spot! I didn't have any of the food but the cocktails were incredible! I had the Burn After Reading (cutest name ever), a new twist on an old fashioned. Absolutely delicious :):) 10/10 recommend

Yelp
I got the shrimp and nachos. The shrimp was something I've never tasted before and the nachos were divine, since the queso pulled the dish together. The service the average, but the servers were very friendly. It felt like a fancy cocktail bar, dim lights and very small inside. But the backyard patio had plenty room for big parties.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and a drink Wednesday night because they have outdoor seating that allows dogs. I ordered the tell tale heart cocktail and it was ok but the Luxardo cherry they garnished it with was the most delicious thing I've eaten in a long time. We ordered the Beet salad (delicious) and Brussels sprouts as appetizers. Then came the Spanish garlic shrimp and meatballs. The meatballs were fantastic! They came in a red sauce and a side of bread. The bread felt a little stale but we ate most of it anyway. The Shrimp plate was spicy but my husband loved it and it came with some flatbreads. We really liked our server too. He was attentive to our dog bringing him a bowl of water and after we wrapped up dinner we told him we were vacationing in the area and he offered some tips about the area.

Yelp
We came here primarily to enjoy the fire pit, but the entire experience was worthwhile. We checked in at the host stand and the gent advised that there would be a wait for a table, so we were welcome to wait around the fire pit. Since we really just wanted a drink, we asked if it was OK to just sit at the pit and enjoy a drink. No problem! Drink menus were immediately brought over and we set to work examining the excellent craft cocktail offerings. Larry opted for the So It Goes, which contained aquavit and tobacco smoke in addition to more standard ingredients. It was brought over with a bit of fanfare as they keep a lid on the glass to contain the smoke. The lid is then removed with a flourish. A drink and a show! It was expertly concocted and delicious. I opted for the Grapefruit Shandy... IPA, gin and grapefruit. A little bitter for my taste, but refreshing nonetheless. Other people were seated around the fire pit while they waited for their tables to be ready, and it had a nice, communal feel. They had live music on the other side of the room, so you could hear the singer in the background but it wasn't too loud or invasive. The service and the atmosphere were perfect. A+!

Casey S.

Yelp
Walked in at 9:30 for a drink on Saturday night, they were super rude and we were turned away because they said they were closing. Their posted hours say they close at 12. Not a huge deal, maybe they just decide to close early, but they were super rude in the way they handled it and were pretty aggressive the moment we walked in the door.
google avatar

Polly M.

Yelp
Parking was a bit tricky as they have no parking lot -- hence 4 stars. BUT ... we sat on the patio which was shady and a great ambiance. We were approached quickly with our sweet wait person Casey. Our drinks arrived post haste and they were perfect! We ordered our tapas. Steak kababs, garlic shrimp, pita, olives and almonds. Oh my gosh they were the best! We ate them all down. Then decided to take hummus and Basque cheese cake to go because we couldn't eat another bite but were anxious to try them. All in all it was a fantastic experience and we will return when back in town.

Yelp
The server was a charmer! The food was unique and delicious. The live music was ok but could have been better.
google avatar

Carl M.

Yelp
Server was nice. Food was bad. Fish and chips - 2 over cooked fish sticks and a handful of fries and a beer out the door for $28. Very unsatisfying.

Yelp
If you're ever in Flagstaff, you MUST visit this place. It's a very casual place with a nice indoor ambience, but also several outdoor places, some covered and others around a large fire. Service was really nice. We wound up there because we had dinner reservations next door, and Tinderbox Kitchen was running super behind. The drinks were so good, we went back the next night for dinner. We had truffle Parmesan fries, burger, and smoked chicken tacos. They have gluten free buns, which is a nice touch! (Although we found it to be fairly common in AZ) All pretty delicious. The drinks are some of the best we've had. The Tropicality was up there with some of the best cocktail bars in the country that we've visited, like Attaboy. Take an Uber because the cocktails are too good here!

Yelp
Had a fantastic time grabbing dinner at the Annex on a cold winter night! Our group was looking for a dinner place with hearty food & cocktails and we found exactly what we were looking for! Not to mention a warm and cozy atmosphere to get into the holiday mood. The restaurant itself was very busy so we were seated in a separate back room that felt like an old mountain cabin. The space was much calmer and open, so we actually preferred the back area over the loud & boisterous main restaurant. We started with cocktails, as any group would on a Friday night. To our surprise the cocktail options were all very unique and had twists to many classic drinks for the holiday season. I had a fruity drink and was not disappointed! The food was amazing. We were pleased with our meals - everyone eyeing the other's plate to see who made the best pick. Though no clear winners stood out as every dish looked amazing. I got myself a panini caprese style sammie and was drooling from the cheese alone. We also ordered their truffle popcorn which helped fill me up before a night of drinking with the gang. Overall had a great time!
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
Always a warm welcome with a great selection of drinks and nibbles. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and upscale popcorn--delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Great ambiance! My hot buttered rum was almost gone before I remembered to get a pic! Wide selection of options.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I went last night, horrible experience. We got there mingled our way to the back outdoor area and waited, and waited, and waited, Lots of staff inside but only one staff outside. We were never acknowledged by staff, offered services or even a menu. After 20 minutes we left. So disappointed as we enjoy the Tinderbox kitchen but we can not bring our dog into fine dining.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Great food, custom crafted cocktails and dog friendly patio. Hidden in the old town section of Flagstaff, you will find some great, shareable plate food here. Julie and I enjoyed craft drinks from the bar and great tapas on the patio with our new dog, Amber too. The staff brought our pup some water and they even have a menu for the dogs. All in all, a great evening of food and cocktails on the patio. Oh, did I mention the live music?
google avatar

Yelp
Ashley JS great. Attentive, informative, and accommodating. We came on a Saturday at 1730 and were able ti get a seat immediately on the inside. Believe it or not, the outside had a wait. Much too cold for me. Fish and chips are awesome.

Jesse S.

Yelp
Amazing place.!! Food and drinks are so good. We love Mindi's attention to us. Our bartender Ashley was so so good. She also gave us some recommendations of nearby places to try. Smash burger very good. Fish and chips very good. Loaded fry's were delicious as well as the asparagus. The Father Time. Was refreshing touch to an old fashion. Hot buttered rum tasted like a hot horchata , brought my wife back in time. Loved the music. The atmosphere feels very cozy and warm. Soft piano music loved it.

Yelp
I've heard great things about this place. I went once and was met with an unknowledgeable server. Last time I went it took 20 minutes to be noticed by a server so I left
google avatar

Yelp
Really cool location, you wouldn't expect it from the front, but the patio was awesome. Fire pits created a warm element to the chill in the air. The service was awesome. The food was good, but I can't 100% judge it fairly because we took it to go.

Yelp
Loved this place last night - stumbled in after casually strolling around downtown and loved it. I had the Margarita, which was amazing but several of my friends ordered the espresso martinis which were DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend. Service was great, the outdoor patio was big and open - I forgot to get pics but would definitely recommend

Yelp
I rarely give a bad review, but I think my experience here warrants one. Both the staff and the ambiance were excellent. The fish and chips were disappointing. As you call an see by the photo it was overcooked, bone dry, and super tuff. I compared it to the golden brown fish and chips my neighbor was served to validate my suspicion. The fries were cold, tuff, and too salty for even me. I barley touched my plate and gave the majority of my food to my dog. Normally I wouldn't write a bad review, but the reaction from my server concerning the food was a simple "sorry". I imagined the cook in the kitchen looking at the fish thinking " this is burned, I know it's cooking back" and then playing it anyway. I don't send food back, I worked in a kitchen and I'll never send food back. I know it was just an isolated over cooked fish and chips, but I don't feel anyone took me seriously when I brought it up. I guess the staff thinks their food is perfect regardless of the customers opinion.

Yelp
Annex Cocktail Lounge and Tourist Home All Day Cafe are both owned by the same owner. Their outdoor space is now combined, however different menus are available at different times. After 3 PM, only Annex Cocktail Lounge's menu is available. Outdoor space has wide benches with overhead umbrellas that angle down depending on the shade you prefer. Loved that feature! Both my friend and I had fish and chips and were not disappointed. I was not a big fan of french fries as they were not crispy, but fish was incredible. My beer cocktail was rather interesting, although if I am every back, I would love to try their Old Fashioned. Service was very timely, attentive and down to earth - no fluff.

Yelp
We stopped into this place while we were in the area. Fantastic staff, the cocktails were phenomenal and the place is super cute and intimate! The shrimp from the menu was amazing as well! Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I'll need to split this chapter of my words across three sister establishments. Upon walking in the impression was the door we entered was the restaurant with a very appealing lounge as the face. Wanting outdoor seating placed us split between two venues. Taking seats in the courtyard a fire warms my back as an area heater covers the rest. My group included myself, the kids, wife and her bestie from childhood who lives in Flag. The tacos on the menu (see photos) are ALL outstanding. The braised beef shoulder and Bhan Mi Duct Confit were my two absolute favorites. Fried Halibut was equally perfectly built. The fourth is the Anchiote Cauliflower creation that is an amazing addition to the taco universe. Some other highlights would be the basic nachos. Which were truly the entry level point. But what set these above would be the cheese. When they arrived I presumed the cheese was cheddar and that was it. After I heard my wife and Nicole both proclaim they were excellent I busted in. Since it was chilly and they no longer could be covered in soft gooey cheddar I was surprised when the flavor and creaminess still was a great cheddary soft texture, but not the expected flaccid corn chip with queezy queso glop, such as the store bought frito lay slop usually found. The Cobb salad our friend had was amazing looking and when she was distracted I brazenly got a bite and again was blown away. My big regret was opting out of the sousvide lamb chop special that was offered. I managed a glimpse of one at a nearby table and was nearly unable to restrain myself from walking over and joining the table and helping myself to the stuff.

Yelp
We were stoked to try these drinks and food. The reviews are awesome and the drink menu is most impressive. If you felt like a cocktail connoisseur before, you won't after looking through this menu. I felt like I was back in high school asking what a screwdriver was! Anyway, we picked what sounded fun and they were just ok. No discredit to the bartender, he was great. Just not knowing the right things to order on a foreign menu. I am giving this place 4 stars because the Brussels are the best I've ever had. Seriously, if you just come here for those you will be grateful and also mad that none others compare. The deviled eggs were also fantastic!

David W.

Yelp
Great drinks. But. You have to wait 30 min for a drink. Even when it's slow. When you ask for your bill. Be prepared to wait another 30 min
google avatar

Patricia J.

Yelp
Loved this place! Their outdoor patio is so inviting and it has a lively feel to it. Food was very yummy and the hand crafted cocktails were right on point. We had their quesadillas, guac and a side of their shishito peppers. Too bad we were only in town for one night. Will definitely be back here when back in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Girlfriend and I stopped by for dinner and it didn't disappoint. Last time I was here was a great time, and so was this. We had the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, and they were wonderful. The serving size is huge. These feed 4 as an appetizer. Get the Monkey wrench and So it goes cocktails. Both are awesome.

Vance H.

Yelp
Drinks; Awesome. Service; Stellar. Thank you Ashley and Alex for hanging out and taking care of us. Not our first visit and we'll be back again for sure!

Yelp
The Annex features an excellent blend of great ambiance, friendly staff, excellent food, and tasty cocktails. Whatever your reason for checking this place out, I particularly recommend the popcorn with truffle oil - it's incredible and simply not to be missed :-) This is a small bar but it's got a nice patio which is fun to hang out on when the weather is good. Recommending for hanging with friends or checking out while on a date.

Bryan G.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink during our recent visit to Flag. Really great patio area with lots of seating. It was first come first serve seating and was very busy that evening. It appeared as if the wait staff did not have assigned areas or tables so it was a little hectic but they appeared to be doing their best. Since NAU wasn't in school when we visited they may have been short staffed. The main reason for the 3 stars was that my wife's wine came out warm. We had to take ice out of my drink in order to get it to a point to drink it. For a $25 glass of wine to need to add ice is not ok.
google avatar

Tom G.

Yelp
Great service, the chicken pot pie was excellent, the fish and chips were so so, but just because the fish was a different type than I was expecting. Cool ambiance!!!

Taylor G.

Yelp
My friend and I went here as a last stop of the evening before heading back down to Phoenix after our day trip to Flagstaff. Our experience here was horrible. We sat ourselves inside like everyone else had done and we were completely ignored by staff for over 10 minutes. I finally went up to the bar and ordered our drinks and asked the bartender if it was the type of place where we seat ourselves (which the bartender had confirmed was correct). My friend and I sat at our table for about 40 minutes and not once did any staff come up to us to greet us, check in on us or give us any kind of menu whatsoever. Though everyone that came in after us was greeted, sat and served by staff while we sat there being completely ignored. When we finally decided to leave because we felt uncomfortable/unwelcome we stood at the bar for another 5 minutes while again, being ignored by the staff though I made eye contact with one of the workers a couple times trying to get her attention. We didn't get our check until I said something and we left right after. I've never been treated by staff like this before, especially when's it's not warranted and not knowing why we were even treated like this. I will never be coming back to this restaurant and it was a very disappointing way to end our fun trip to Flagstaff.

Yelp
We wanted to go to a nice dinner for our anniversary, and found Annex on Yelp. It's a bit of an odd setup with a small space located next to Tourist Home Cafe (same kitchen) and a large outdoor patio with several tables and a firepit. We didn't care to sit outside, so we ended up waiting almost an hour for a table indoors. It was a long wait, but I was glad that we got a spot inside, because it's quite cozy. Our server was really nice and attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the drink of the day, which was really fun and super good: cold brew coffee with cocoa, coconut milk, mezcal, Aquavit, and Ancho Reyes. I really liked it, like a creamy cold brew with a kick! My husband ordered the Regina George, which I liked too. We both liked my drink better though. I was really impressed with the food, and how affordable it was. My husband got a burger and really liked that. We also tried the tacos, which were good. I ordered the nachos with pork confit. I highly recommend the nachos. They were pretty salty, but they tasted amazing. And they were $13 with the added protein. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable Annex was. I would definitely return here when visiting Flag.

M.E. H.

Yelp
Our favorite bar in Flag, hands down, winter or summer. But especially summer on the large, partially shaded patio. Fantastic service.
google avatar

Andy R.

Yelp
Drag show tonight completely surprised us. We were so happy to see something fun in town and enjoyed the ambiance. Loud and proud, and we saw enough to keep us entertained.
google avatar

Gidget S.

Yelp
Came for Saturday night live music but it was canceled, bummer! Ordered the truffle popcorn and it was ok; washed it down with a light & lively nineteen nineteen. The best part about this place is the outdoor area, would have been fabulous with music...
google avatar

Geri L.

Yelp
Excellent food and service in a very cool outdoor setting. Unique menu for food and beverages

Dani H.

Yelp
I'm so sorry to leave this review. The annex has been my favorite cocktail lounge for years. My husband and I had our wedding reception here. To walk in tonight, was a disappointment. Stood at the bar for 10min, while there were 5+ people behind the bar, most not making drinks and only talking. It doesn't take much to pull your head up and say hi to someone trying to spend money at your establishment. Only after 10 minutes did someone acknowledge us, only to say there were servers outside. i'm sad. say hi. do better.
