33 Best Hotels in Tokyo for Families, Couples, and Solo Travelers | Condé Nast Traveler

"Only a few blocks from Omotesando‑dori, I found The Aoyama Grand Hotel to attract a mix of young professionals with loft‑style rooms, bold furniture and eye‑catching wall art; the floor‑to‑ceiling windows frame one of the coolest neighborhoods in the world, though you should avoid the six interior rooms that face a light well rather than outward views." - Brandon Presser

The Aoyama Grand Hotel (Tokyo, Tokyo) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Aoyama Grand enjoys quite the privileged position, occupying the top few floors of a mixed-use high-rise in Tokyo’s luxe Aoyama district. It’s tough to think of a better diving board into the heady swirl of sophisticated streetwear, diverse culinary attractions, and name-droppable architecture below — or a better cocoon to escape to, floating placidly above it all. Rooms channel mid-century modernist swagger, each piece of furniture a low-slung statement piece on its own. Bracing, floor-to-ceiling city views balance the scales against elegant wood accents, quiet carpets underfoot, and the occasional patterned textile." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed at THE AOYAMA GRAND HOTEL for eight nights and had one of the best weeks of our lives! Certainly the hotel is the best that we have ever stayed in. The comfort of the rooms is absolutely first rate and the service is incredible. Everyone is so kind, elegant, and responsive. We felt so pampered! We were in Tokyo for the World Athletics Championships and the stadium is a short and lovely 10-minute walk with tons of restaurant options along the way. And the truly fabulous shopping district (Dior, Rolex, Miu Miu) is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. There are also tons of cute little boutique-style shops that are more my speed, sprinkled across a labyrinth of nearby windy streets. We can't wait to go back to Tokyo, and when we do, it is THE AOYAMA GRAND HOTEL all the way!

Very buzzing hotel in an excellent location, love the design, and it’s very popular with the locals. Great selection of restaurants woth very solid F&B offerings. Rooms very comfortable, beds Japanese (hard mattress), great views, beautiful design and all the amenities one could wish for. I think that turndown service should be offered at this price point.

I truly can’t recommend this hotel enough. The king suite was so spacious and perfect for lounging after a long day of walking. It was near a major station and we rarely found ourselves needing to switch trains to get to our destinations. The staff and accommodations are wonderful - such a treat. Do yourself a favor and have the hotel breakfast at least one time (we received a 20% off voucher when checking in). The breakfast was one of the best meals of our trip.

To keep it simple, Vin was great: amazing even. He was my bartender. He's a young a guy, which must contrast the amount of experience that he must have. You can tell when he's busy, and when he has time to talk. He's not the picture perfect service man and that's what makes him perfect. It's what makes him human and ultimately I think that's what makes him such a great bartender. Other than the un-needed glaze. The location is great and you're able to think and have your own space and time even with such a busy location. I came on a Thursday at the bar alone so I have no real idea to how much you'll be able to have the same experience as me. But if you were to take my word, it's great.

We enjoyed the extra space in the room at this hotel. Since we did not stay out late and liked to enjoy time both in the morning and evening in the room it was nice to have a separate sitting area away from the beds.|Pros:|1.we found the location convenient as you are a 3 minute walk to an entrance that leads to the Ginza line, there is a cafe, supermarket, and convenience stores all within a block or two.|2. Room size|3. Staff were courteous and helpful|4. Great breakfast (although not included in the price)|5. Could control A/C down to a reasonable level (unlike other hotels)|6. Refrigerator full of alcohol, drinks, snacks included - if this is for you||Cons:|1. This may not be a big deal but it does not have a lobby - you feel like you are checking in to the bar/restaurant|2. Although we had the soft mattress topper the bed was still more firm than other hotels|3. I would have preferred breakfast to be included instead of all of the free alcohol - none of which we used because we just do not drink very much. Maybe give people a choice? The place was quite pricey to not include breakfast.|4. We were on the 17th floor with a city view (directly the view was the Tokyu Stay hotel) and could hear traffic noise - it did eventually die down but something to consider.||The hotel, as described, is a boutique hotel. The restaurant and bar were for the most part always packed with people. We enjoyed the size of the room, but because of the price and it not including breakfast may consider other places to stay if we return to Tokyo.

The hotel is very modern and chic. It’s close to everything in Aoyama and Omotesando. There are two upscale grocery stores nearby. The rooms have wonderful views on high floors. The all inclusive mini bar is a fantastic treat from the hotel. It’s a must try in Tokyo.

We love this hotel and the staff who make it wonderful. We have stayed there 3 times. It's a true gem and quite unique in Tokyo I believe. Get the suite type rooms if you can. So spacious, comfortable, beautiful light and views. There is even a washing machine in the suite for your convenience. The breakfast is on the top floor, with gorgeous light and views. The hotel location in Aoyama is wonderful, and so many things are within walking distance. Great restaurants and popular bars are on site at the hotel. Also the hotel is easily connected to street level which is not always the case in Tokyo. Thank you so much Aoyama Grand.

I had an excellent experience at The AOYAMA Grand Hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient. They met my every need. The room was lovely and the view is outstanding. I really like the neighborhood. It has many interesting shops and venues without the all the hustle and bustle. I have traveled throughout the world and stayed in many excellent hotels. This is a world class hotel
