The aquarium was very nice. There were a variety of fish, sharks, and manta rays. The mermaids did a wonderful job interacting with children and was very graceful while swimming. The viewing area had plenty of standing and sitting areas. The chairs were very comfortable and some even had a mermaid tail on the back of the chair. Additionally, Bass Pro Shop is right by it, connected to the Silverton so you can check it out, too.

The Aquarium at Silverton is an absolute hit with my kids—5 stars all the way! 🌊 It's massive (117,000 gallons!), totally free, and always buzzing with life—tropical fish, stingrays, even small sharks. They went wild during the interactive feeding times, and honestly I was into it too. Plus, catching the mermaid show? Priceless. The mermaids swim right in the tank and actually interact with the kids—it was seriously one of the coolest things we’ve done around here. Clean, well-lit, and fun for all ages. We’ll be back next trip for sure!

Google
We initially came for the $1 and $2 HAPPY Hour specials for Teachers, Veterans, and First Responders (check out their website for details!!!) but ended up falling in love with the Mermaid show. The Jellyfish Bar was totally our vibe. Chill, BEAUTIFUL decor, friendly staff, and underwater entertainment that brought us back 3 afternoons in a row. This will forever be a stop when we are in town!

This free exhibit was such a fun surprise! The mermaid was incredibly interactive with the kids, which made the experience even more special. The whole setup is beautifully done, magical, and photo-worthy. It's a lovely little spot to check out if you're in the area!

Google
The mermaid show was an unexpected surprise! Inside the aquarium, live mermaids perform underwater tricks alongside real fish. The show alternates with live fish feeding, both are fascinating to watch. Great experience — and it’s free!

This is a beautiful aquarium with a lot of really cool marine life and even mermaid shows. There are many different types of fish ranging from small, colorful fish to baby sharks to massive stingrays. Best part? It’s free of charge. Of course, the only downside to this is that it’s extremely crowded but hey, you get what you pay for. Parking is somewhat difficult and rather expensive but of course that’s expected if you’re in the Vegas area. Nevertheless, this is one of the coolest places I have been to during my time here in Vegas and if you’re in the area you should definitely check it out. Interestingly they have a bass pro shops right next to the aquarium and there’s even a waterfall with a koi fish pond at the bottom in front of the store. And of course, it’s right there in the middle of a casino so you can check that out as well.

Google
All of the kids in my family (young and old) love coming to this place! I bring everyone here! The aquarium is beautiful and if you catch the mermaids it’s even better. We love to walk through the Bass Pro Shop here too. If it’s cooler, the outside area is nice with fire pits and seating. Great place to hang out for free! Parent g is free too! I can’t really comment on the casino itself, I’ve never won anything there.

Google
Nice sized circular aquarium with seating so you can relax and watch the fish swim by. There is a smaller window inside a faux cave-like entrance too. They have mermaid shows and feedings as well.

Yelp
Yes! Yes! Yes! This free aquarium is amazinggg! My daughter absolutely loved this aquarium. It's amazing that live mermaids swim in there too along with sting rays and other fun looking fish. This aquarium is near the bass pro. Park in front of the bass pro and just walk towards exit leading to the casino and it's right there. There are also sting rays feedings you watch as well! Just check the aquarium schedule for the mermaid & sting ray feedings. Definitely a must visit place especially with kiddos! It's great that it's near the Bass Pro too because you can check out all the funn things to look at in there afterwards

Yelp
It was my first time here. I love aquarium's, so when I heard that there was one at this casino, I had to come and check it out. I heard about mermaid aquarium, but I've never experienced that before either. So it was a cool experience. I would recommend going online and checking the schedules for when the mermaids do come out. I really liked to the aquarium. And they did have a lot of angles that you could look at the fish at. They had quite a bit of different fish in there as well as stingrays and more. The aquarium is located near the bass pro shop. To me, this is a one time thing to see. For kids it might be more exciting to see it more than once. We did not do anything else at this casino but this. So if you go, I would plan accordingly. There is a parking structure for the casino.

Yelp
Did you know that the Silverton Casino has a 117,000-gallon reef aquarium with over 4,000 exotic fish, including stingrays and sharks? And interactive stingray feedings? Plus mermaid shows? Available at no cost to the public? Intrigued, we had to check it out. It's not just for kids, y'all. We adults also loved it. So much to take in! The mermaid interacted with the fish, the audience and put on a good show. During the stingray feeding, a guide outside the tank shared interesting facts, then the diver, with his built-in speakers, answered questions. Well executed and professionally done. Shows are every half hour. We timed it so that we caught both, one after the other. This Aquarium is definitely one of the best free attractions in Vegas!

Yelp
The Aquarium at Silverton Casino is right at the entrance to Bass Pro Shop. It's a free attraction! My family and I visited the Silverton Casino around 3:30 P.M on a Saturday. We wanted to watch the Stingray Feeding session at 4:30 P.M. During that time, we viewed the Aquarium at the Silverton, the Mermaid Cove, and the Bass Pro Shop. The Aquarium has a lot of fish, stingrays, and some smaller sharks. There are some couches you can sit down and watch the fish as well near the aquarium! On select days, you'll see a mermaid that swims with the fish! Right now, the Mermaid Swims can occur between 12:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M Thursday - Saturday, and Sunday 10:30 A.M - 6:30 P.M . We saw the team at the Silverton at 4:30, feed stingrays. It was quite educational learning about the stingrays! The Aquarium was also decorated for Halloween! There was a huge pumpkin inside the Aquarium! This was a great free attraction at the Silverton Casino!

Yelp
We finally got to see the mermaid! This was our second time visiting and so glad we got to see mermaid. She had such an good showmanship. She literally gave each kid a kiss under the water. She also did donut and that was cool haha =D

Yelp
If you like gambling, this is a great place to bring children while one person is gambling and the other person is with the children. The area surrounding the aquarium is smokeless so you won't be breathing in second hand smoke. It's a free aquarium in a quiet atmosphere. This out of the way casino houses the Aquarium at Silverton Casino and the Bass Pro Shop (which is a fun place to roam by yourself or with children). There are slot machines nearby the aquarium that you can play while keeping an eye on the older children. There are many different kinds of fish species and plants. It's aquarium is encased in glass so anyone can view it from all directions. There are benches scattered around the aquarium where I saw people resting and watching the fishes go by. There is a schedule that gives feeding and mermaid show times. It reminds me of the Weeki Wachee Mermaid show in Florida that I always loved and continue to do so. It's beautiful to see the mermaid swim and do their thing effortlessly.

Lee T.

Yelp
The aquarium was cool and big. The fish looked healthy and the aquarium looked clean, but I didn't need the mermaids. If some people really want the mermaids, okay, but maybe not for as long or often. I would have just liked to look at the fish
google avatar

Nichole B.

Yelp
We weren't quite sure what to expect at the Silverton Casino but were taken away with the aquarium! Did a walk through the casino and it was a lot bigger than we had expected. Lost our $20, not big gamblers obviously haha, then decided to make our way back to the aquarium bar. Bartender made a top notch drink for us and we got to people and fish watch for 45 minutes. We will be back again
google avatar

Yelp
The best free aquarium I've ever seen. So many different types of fish. It's such a big and beautiful tank. Definitely recommend bringing your little ones! Then when you're done, walk across the store and check out Bass Pro Shops big fresh water tank.
google avatar

Abe M.

Yelp
I actually work across the street. I needed a place to take my conference call. I took it right here in front of the aquarium :) A cool spot. Large parking area. If you're not a big fan of walking there's even Valet here I love this aquarium. So peaceful. Cool spot to bring friends and family.

Yelp
One of the best FREE activities to do in Vegas. Lovely and large aquarium tank full of so many species of fish including the occasional mermaid! The tank is open to view 24/7 with mermaid swims every half hour (except during scheduled stingray feedings) on Mon-Wed 4pm to 8pm, Thur-Sat 12pm to 8pm, and Sunday 10:30am to 6:30pm. Interactive stingray feedings are daily at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. You can also pay for mermaid school and have the magical opportunity to become a Mermaid and swim in the aquarium. We visited during Halloween and loved the decorations! Will happily continue to visit and recommend to others.
google avatar

Melinda M.

Yelp
Mermaid shows are 4-8pm every half hour, except for the 4:30 stingray feeding. We came on the day after Christmas at 5:00 p.m. We came a few minutes early, which was good because it got crowded right before it started. One mermaid came out. She swam around for I'd say at least 15 minutes, interacting with the kids through the glass, blowing bubbles, and doing flips. It was the highlight of my 5-year-old's trip to Vegas. :)

Yelp
The aquarium between Bass Pro Shop and Silverton Casino has quite an impressive showing of marine life including a really large ray . The mermaid show is fun for all ages. Their website lists showtimes but it's every half hour during a certain period. https://silvertoncasino.com/hotel/aquarium-mermaid-show/ Pro Tip: -Park in front of Bass Pro Shop so you can go through it to check out the mermaid show after you exit at the other end. Then you can check out some of the cool things in the shop too. I wrote a review on it too. For more family travel tips IG: @gracelovesadventures

Yelp
This was good for a quick stop. We saw the mermaid show and the stingray feeding. There is also mermaid artwork on the walls and a nice bar next to it.

Yelp
The aquarium at Silverton was so much fun for my kids. Viewing runs every half hour for the mermaid and you can see her do some really cool tricks in the water . She will blow bubbles and make rings that she can swim through. It's a free experience in Vegas that the entire family will enjoy . Don't forget to make a quick stop to the Silverton to see the beautiful mermaid and fishes .
google avatar

James N.

Yelp
Like other reviews say, this is a Nice free activity for the kids and to get out of the heat. You could spend about 15-20minutes here and another 20-40min walking around the pro bass shop which has a few koi ponds and preserved animals for the kids to see.
google avatar

Yelp
Are you looking for an activity out of the sun? And have about an hour-ish to kill?? This aquarium is perfect for that. And it's free!!!!! It's super easy to access. It's right in your face when you first walk through the vallet entrance. Or it's just a short walk through Bass Pro shops. It's a big circular tank, so you're able to look at it from different angles. My kids love coming here, especially during the interactive feedings and mermaid appearances. Interactive feedings: daily @ 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm Mermaid appearances: Thursday-Saturday: 12-1:15 pm, 2-3:15 pm, 5-6:15 pm Sunday: 10:30 am-12:45 pm, 2-3:15 pm, 5-6:45 pm My only negative is that it can get a little crowded during the feedings and mermaid appearances. So be prepared to stand next to someone if you want a closer look at the tank. Otherwise, I enjoy my time here.

Nancy B.

Yelp
I got a reservation to the mermaid experience. The day before they called and cancelled the reservation. I would expect them to give me more notice. I told my granddaughter and she was very excited Then I had to tell her it was cancelled due to not enough participants She was very upset and cried. I wouldn't have told her but never heard from them till the day before. I will never stay here again. .

Yelp
The Aquarium at The Silverton is pretty awesome for an aquarium near the casino floor. It's a fun spot to bring little ones and it's free too! We parked at Bass Pro Shop and walked through to The Silverton. The aquarium is right past the exit from Bass Pro. I'd suggest doing this with little ones because Bass Pro has lots of exciting things for the kids to see too. The aquarium is one large, round tank. There are several areas to look in. I was really impressed with the sea life in the aquarium. It wasn't just basic fish. They had several sting rays including the largest sting ray I've ever seen. My toddler was thrilled, screaming "sting ray" every time we saw them. Some of the fish were neon and there was an albino creature too. Even my two year old was happy to hang out for at least 30 minutes. Mermaid shows and sting ray feedings add some more excitement. They have a sign with that schedule at the aquarium and it's also posted to The Silverton's Instagram page.

Yelp
This aquarium is in the Silverton Casino main entrance. During pandemic, the mermaid show is stop and the feeding schedule is changed. The time we visited is actually feeding time. We were able to witness it. The aquarium is a 117,000 gallon aquarium. It is big. They have all kind of the marine fish in it. It was great seat there relaxing while the fish pass in front of you. Especially the stingray with their mouth facing you like a smile. During the feeding they start with small tiny shrimp spray to the aquarium feeding those big fish. Later you can see they speed this food near the to rock area to feed the smaller hiding in the rock fish. They then hand feed to sting ray and shark. They also put the nori seaweed in between the two plastic plate with hole. The fish come to eat it. This is the first time I saw people feeding fry nori seaweed. Interesting. Then they come to clean the tank near the rock and coral rock. They did clean the glass too. It is a lock work to up keep this aquarium.

Yelp
Something different to see in Las Vegas. Definitely, think kids will enjoy the fish and mermaid. Show I'd primarily on side towards Bass Proshop, you will only see aquarium and fish from bar side. Art work behind aquarium is really neat.
google avatar

Daniel Q.

Yelp
If you like fish and sting rays, this is a cool place to check that out for free. It's a huge tank filled with a lot of salt water fish and also includes a bunch of sting rays and sand sharks. Every day at 1:30pm, a scuba diver feeds the sting rays and talks about them. Then at 2pm there's a Mermaid that swims around and says hi to everyone (a female in a mermaid suit). This is great for everyone of all ages esp kids! My 6yr old loves it and we've been back several times since we discovered this gem. This is located in Silverton Casino and is right where it connects with Bass Pro Shop which is a great place to visit before or after the sting ray feeding and mermaid swim time for all ages as well. I'll talk more about this in my Bass Peo shop review if you're interested in reading. Oh there's also a few benches along the Mermaid Bar side where you can simply sit and watch the fish for hours at a time. Did you know watching fish swim for 10-20min a day can help reduce high blood pressure? This is part of Silverton Casino so there's a ton of free parking and lots of clean restrooms near by. Also lots of other things to do near by as well. I definitely recommend watching and visiting this place for all ages if you like fish, sting rays, or mermaids.

Yelp
The aquarium at the Silverton casino is such a cool spot to go check out when your are in vegas. Its free to see the aquarium and you can see it as soon as you enter the casino. The aquarium has a ton of sea creatures to see. I saw a bunch of children who were so happy to see the aquarium. Also during the weekend mermaids make an appearance and swim in the aquarium which is really cool. Make sure to check out the show times. Pros -Free -Cool attraction to see Cons -Casino is a little outdated but you really here for the aquarium lol

Yelp
Gorgeous aquarium! I love the stingray feeding shows. They will answer you questions and interact with the crowd. Love this place.

Yelp
There is something very fishy happening in the Silverton Hotel & Casino. It is the round 117,000 gallon fish tank near the Bass Pro Shop entrance. Going back several years, this massive fish tank has been a popular attraction. Living within this aquatic Water World are hundreds of tropical saltwater fish. This includes three species each of stingrays and sharks. From Thursdays through Sundays this also includes a mermaid. The mermaid swims in the tank during the following times: Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays   12:00 to 1:15 PM.   2:00 to 3:15 PM.   5:00 to 8:15 PM. Sundays   10:30 AM to 1:10 PM   2:00 PM to 3:15 PM   5:00 PM to 6:45 PM Note: 15 minute intermission between individual swims. Adding to the allure of the Silverton's 117,000 gallon aquatic city are the times when the Silverton's Marine Biologist leads the daily interactive feeding shows. This takes place everyday at 1:30 and 4:30 PM. Wearing a full-faced communication mask, the Marine Biologist is there to also answer questions. In similar fashion to Las Vegas (technically this is in Enterprise) the Aquarium is 24/7. The major difference is that this is an aquatropolis. This adds to the appeal of serving a vast customer base. In the day time, it is very popular with families and children. It is so popular with children that they recently opened up an Icee concession near the tank. At night it is popular with adults who can take in the aquarium from the adjacent Mermaids Lounge. I have been here several times. Whether it is in the day where I am surrounded by crowds or at night, the aquarium has been a therapeutic influence on me. I appreciate the round layout that allows me to walk around the tank and take in different perspectives of the changing sealife. If I had missed the ultimate photo of the stingray from the Bass Pro Shop facing side, a short walk to the Mermaids Lounge facing side will allow me to try again. Right by the Mermaids Lounge is a wall holding Mermaid paintings. While I am on my feet, just a few steps away is the impressive Bass Pro Shops waterfall. Inhabited by koi, turtles, the occasional duck and cascading waterfall; this adds value to the time spent at the aquarium. There is something about the sound of the rushing water that has a mesmerizing affect. That something is a representation of a rushing waterfall in nature. Although I am customarily walking when I spend time by the Aquarium at the Silverton, they provide comfortable seats. Some include cup holders. Located a moderate distance from the seats is the Silverton Starbuck's. What is the Starbuck's logo? Bingo (not sure if the Silverton has Bingo)! She is a Mermaid. So, this might be the one and only spot in the world where you can drink a cup of Starbuck's while watching a Mermaid swim. On that subject, if I return when the Mermaid is swimming, there will be a business photo pictured with the Starbuck's cup Mermaid logo and the Silverton Mermaid. My favorite time to overlook the aquarium is later at night when I am enjoying an alcohol beverage in the Mermaids Lounge. When you take into consideration the relaxing affect that alcohol has on me then add in the tranquility of the fish tank, this is a nice way to unwind. I have enjoyed the Mermaids Lounge vista from the bar and comfortable elevated seats that oveook the 117,000 aquatic city. At the times when the lights go off outside the aquarium, this is an even more relaxing experience. It is an experience that is ideal for a date. What is fishy at the Silverton has been a "Triple 7" in bringing people like me into the casino. In my opinion, the Aquarium is worth visiting in combination with something else. For example when I went here last week in the height of the Christmas and Holidays Season, I combined it with the Town Square Park Winter Wonderland attraction. Other times I have stopped by on the way back from Red Rock Canyon or Exploration Park. Or if I preferred staying in the Silverton for an extended time, there was a short walk into Bass Pro Shops where there are smaller aquariums. During the weekdays, this is a conducive spot to spend some time when the Silverton's Season's Buffet is inexpensive for lunch. Perhaps another experience worth trying is combining it with Shark Reef Aquarium or Sea Life in Boulevard Mall. 4 Stars! The Aquarium at Silverton FTW!!!

Yelp
I can stare at fish and sea life (rays) all day long! Our son is really into all things ocean, nowadays, too (thanks Octonauts, love that show, yeah, I know it's a kids show, but it is educational; as parents, we love that our kids are learning new things...). On our last visit, we were lucky enough to see the Mermaids in action, for feeding time- we enjoyed that very much. I think it lasted a half hour or so. Keep in mind, that this is a FREE attraction, which means there are going to be lots of other spectators. Don't mind the crowd, everyone can enjoy this all-ages show. If you don't want to stand, there are comfy seats (black lounging chairs) to the right of the attraction. Usually filled up. After the show, you can go around and check out the rest of the aquarium, which is really nice, too. (When I first moved here, I thought the Caesar's Forum shops had the coolest free aquarium. But then I saw the Mirage one, at the desk, and it too, impressed me.) It's pretty neat that we checked it out pre-parenthood for a few years, and now, we get to take our boy to see this nice aquarium.
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
This is an ideal place to take your kids for a free activity and a cool down from the Vegas heat. Plenty to see and they even have seating so you can just it back and relax and take it all in. They have shows that high do cost a fee, but you can see plenty for free. Small gift shop, right between Bass Pro and the Casino.
google avatar

DruFath C.

Yelp
It is a good place to stop by for a little bit. It is only at the casino entrance. Our daughter loved it.

Yelp
Looking for an aquarium without the hassle of going to the strip? Look no further than Silverton Hotel & Casino. There are hundreds of fish in this huge tank and even a variety of comfy seats to read and enjoy the peacefulness of the swimming fish. They have feeding times for the fish and even mermaids! Worth a visit especially if you enjoy saltwater fish, or have children. Behind the aquarium you will find the mermaid art gallery with many mermaid inspired pieces of art and to the left the mermaid cafe, where you can eat and enjoy the plethora of fish. Tip: There is a cut out on the right side where you can see all around and take amazing photos. I'm no marine biologist but I'm pretty sure I saw rays, sharks, a puffer fish and many other bright colored fish. Take some time and grab a drink whilst you lose yourself in the peacefulness. I know I did :-)!

Yelp
I love the Aquarium at Silverton as I've dropped in on occasion for the last 12 years. It's a super sized aquarium that has some cool fish and stingrays that are super size as well. They used to have a mermaid drop into the tank once an hour to do a live feeding. It's seemingly tailed off a bit over the years, and now with Covid, it's on a temporary suspension. If, or when, they start the live mermaid show again I recommend strongly that you go and see this fish tank on steroids!!!
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
What an awesome place where you would least expect it. And totally free too. The Silverton offers a decent sized aquarium that's super tall. It's right by the Bass Pro Shops. While I wouldn't necessarily come out of my way just for that, I think it's definitely worth a visit. If you can, time it when you can see the mermaids. They are super cool and certainly brought a smile to my face. It's fun watching the kids interact with the mermaids too. But the mermaids do a good job of coming over to the "big kids" too. Apparently you can pay to dine with them. I've never done that, but the fact that you can see them for free is pretty neat. Silverton has a farmer's market on Sunday. If I was planning a day, come for the farmer's market and then come inside to cool off and check out the mermaids!

Yelp
Wow, this visit was so much more exciting than I originally thought it would be when my friend suggested it during our trip to Vegas. Watching the feeding of the sting rays and seeing all of the beautiful fish in the tank at the hotel was fascinating. There was one sting rays who was unusually big and I wanted to follow it all around the tank! The neighboring Bass Pro Shop was even more interesting & we found ourselves exploring the waterfalls, animal dioramas, and other animals within. My friend even insisted we watch 2 archers in the archery area who were on their game! I am not very fond of outdoor sports, but this shop was amazing. They even had some snacks I hadn't seem in ages like salted caramel moon pies & pecan logs. Yum! This is a great place to bring children and adults alike, even if you're not staying at the Silverton Hotel!

Yelp
The Aquarium the Silverton Hotel is a super cool attraction in Las Vegas that is free. It was fun and informative to chat with the diver feeding the sting rays (4:30 pm show). We took a nice walk through the amazing Pro Bass store next to the aquarium. We got a chocolate malt at Johnny Rockets, then returned for the 5 pm Mermaid show. They had 2 beautiful mermaids with fabulous costumes swim around the tank, do twists and turns, wave and blow kisses to the adoring crowd. It was beautiful to see the magic between these mermaids and their young fans. I was quite taken myself. The Silverton Casino is a little off the beaten path from the Strip, but it was worth the trip to see these shows. Did I mention that it is FREE?

Yelp
Love love love it! Mezmerizing!! I don't need the beautiful and exotic mermaids, (they are wonderful!) but the rays, skates and the big foreheaded fish are the stars of my show!! I can stare at them, perhaps them at me while they swim around in their circular tank.
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
This Aquarium is like no other. It is just beautiful. The fish are amazing. You can just sit for hours and look and watch them. There's so many different fish that you just can't get enough of them. It's just spectacular Young old whatever age you are you must take time to see this beautiful piece of art made for these sea creatures!!!

Yelp
Our top choice for the "free family entertainment" picks of things to do (local and tourist attractions). The stellar 117,000 aquarium features an array stingrays, puffer, clownfish, various sharks and other tropical fish and species of reef and marine life. You can easily invest an hour or two here and might even catch the divers or scheduled mermaid show. Bass Pro shops just a skip away is also a great family fun place to walk around.

Yelp
While visiting the Silverton decided to wander around after drinks and a little slot play. While my oldest son went to Bass Pro Shop found this delightful destination. The Aquarium here is free to the public and so very eye appealing. The fish in the aquarium are those that would be seen around a reef. And if you hang around long enough there is a real life mermaid too. Discovering new magical creatures that call the Silverton home this is a very wonderful attraction. The mermaid is a young lady that appears once an hour and entertains the crowd. There were so many young children that were awed by the swimming mermaid in the large tank. The young lady that played the mermaid was very impressive and interacted with the crowd that came to see her perform. She waved at the onlookers and even touched the hands of the small little children that wanted to swim with her in that tank. The actress that was portraying the mermaid had an air tank so she could breathe and be safe under water. She seemed a pro at what she was doing. Waving at the patrons with ease. It is not easy to wave as beautifully as she did underwater. She wore the mermaid costume so elegantly. This was such a fabulous way to pass some time and take in the sites here at the casino.

Yelp
I have say I was pretty wowed when I walked in the main entrance of the Silverton and see this rather large 117,000 gallon, aquarium directly in front of me! So very cool! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-aquarium-at-the-silverton-hotel-las-vegas?select=I5puVQ0BH-ieEc5Y1SV8MA Aside from the main large "window" at the front, there are other windows / viewing ports around the sides & back too. Very nice to watch from the adjacent bar on one side. It wasn't until our second day at the Silverton, that I learned from another guest in the elevator, mermaids swim in the aquarium at certain times during the day. I have to admit, it was pretty cool to see a mermaid in among the thousands of fish, focusing on the little kiddos watching her! I didn't bother taking a photo as there were too many people in the way, LOL.

Yelp
Nice place to visit off the strip with nice cool a/c. There were a lot fish and mermaid trainings too. There is access to Bass Pro Shop with nice view of the store. Really enjoyed my trip there.

Yelp
I visit Las Vegas frequently, but had never stepped foot onto the Silverton Casino Hotel property before. But I saw (for the first time) billboards advertising this attraction, and decided it was a good excuse to visit the resort, see the aquarium, and explore the Bass Pro Shop. In my opinion, I'd rate this aquarium as "excellent". My reasoning is this: I have been to Sea World. The San Diego park has one particular aquarium of similar volume (gallons of water held), containing similar specimens within the tank. I think the Silverton's aquarium is actually nicer. The bottom line is that this is a very nice presentation. The rock formations provide great texture. And, there is a generous number and variety of fish within the tank. I am told that there is a "mermaid show". I didn't see it--maybe because my visit was on a Sunday morning. But I did see someone in full scuba gear swimming in the tank, with the fish, doing maintenance within the tank. I think this may have been as interesting as the mermaid show. There are a few stuffed chairs near the aquarium, if you want to sit and watch. The "Mermaid Restaurant Lounge" is also adjacent to the aquarium, and has good views of the aquarium, if you want to have a drink or something to eat. (The menu and drink prices are available online, on the resort's website.

Yelp
If you have kids and plan on making a special trip out here to see the mermaids, maybe reconsider: website lists "mermaid swim" hours, but we arrived to see two girls sitting in chairs beside a Meet & Greet sign. One was wearing a tail, another was in heels, both wore bored expressions and neither got in the water at any point. How disappointing. More exciting than the cloudy, circular tank of dull, muted fish was the adjacent waterfall area of koi, ducks, and turtles at the Bass Pro shop.

Yelp
Really awesome place to look at beautiful fish. There are so many sizes in the fish and so many different kinds. I did see a lot of sting rays, small sharks and Dora looking ones(Nemo movie). This aquarium is super huge from the ceiling to the floor. They have sitting areas you can just chill and look at the fish all day!

Yelp
Sometimes one gets lucky, and blunders onto a nice find. After leaving the Las Vegas Foodie Fest and walking through the Silverton Casino to take in some welcome air conditioning until reaching the valet, I just happened by the Silverton Aquarium when fish were being fed by a woman in a dive suit. The sea life in the aquarium is plentiful, including several colorful varieties of fish, along with rays and sharks. The water is very clear, and it is easy to get up close and take in the unusual aqueous scene. While I was doing this, the black-suited diver swam away, and a shimmering mermaid, suddenly emerged to take her place. She looked pretty realistic with a thick rainbow-hued tail. The Silverton Aquarium is a nice bonus attraction for those who play and stay at the Silverton!

Yelp
A free aquarium in Las Vegas? Gotta go check it out. Haha, after going to the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, my family decided to check out the Silverton Aquarium at the Silverton Casino. We asked one of the staff when it closes, and she said, "it's always open!" So apparently it isn't really an aquarium, per say. It's a big huge tank in the middle of the casino where anybody can enjoy the peace and solace that the view of the fish provide for you. This aquarium is located between the Bass Pro Shop and the Mermaid Lounge, which are both in the back of the Silverton Casino. There are a few chairs in front of the 360 degree tank where you can sit down to enjoy the view. I believe there are even a few small sharks in the tank! As you walk around the tank, each particular panel always has different fish, and there is even a part of the aquarium where you can walk up to the fish and feel as if you're a part of them, too! Really really worth the experience, especially if you have kids and you want a nice and cheap (free!) place to visit. There are beautiful drawings of mermaids on the wall, and I believe they also have live feedings and mermaids that will come and swim around once or twice a day. This aquarium, along with the waterfall from the Bass Pro Shop really give Vegas a different perspective, if that makes sense. Be sure to check it out!

Yelp
It's been years since my last visit to Silverton. I still remember when it was known as Boomtown. The family and I decided to have dinner at the Season Buffet prior to stopping by since a few of our friends mention that their is a Mermaid Show at select times. I highly reccomend that you check or call ahead if they are performing. I didn't realize that this aquarium was big. Its not your typical aquarium but it was large enough to accommodate a large variety of fishes and sea life. When we finally arrived to the show, the Mermaid appeared and started waving at guests and was doing aquatic moves by flipping backwards and twirling. Then my Siblings and I started singing, "Look at this stuff, isn't neat. Wouldn't you think my collection is complete..., Part of that World," you get the idea!!Actually there was a good amount of people channeling their inner Disney Movies. The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. It was a cool to see young kids, adults and elderly ones just enjoying the free show and was kinda of a nice way to de-stress and absorb the tranquil atmosphere. If Im ever in the area with family and friends. I would stop by again to check this place out. Plus it adjacent to the Bass Pro Shop, which is an adventure itself. 2017 Yelp Review #18

Yelp
FREE FREE FREE- yes here in Vegas a free attraction! They have mermaids who will swim and blow kisses at their admiring fans. A little princesses dream (of any age). Even when unoccupied by merfolk or divers doing stingray feedings- there is a beautiful site of just fish and coral. They have chairs to sit so you can enjoy it or take a break from gambling. Kids love to follow the fish as they seem to chase after the little hands on the glass. It's a short walk from bass pro (w more to do free there) and next to the mermaid bar. From the bar you can seat where you can sip and watch the time float by. When you run out of money from the casinos slots I would suggest a few moments to enjoy the show. It's peaceful and beautiful Also now if you are there later at night I suggest going right outside and taking advantage of the new addition to the lawn area (w light up fountains and a beautifully landscaped garden with lounge chairs to soak up the sun or relax in)

Yelp
Checked out Silverton Aquarium because it was FREE. Park by Bass Pro Shops and then it's closer to the Aquarium. They have a bunch of glass and you can sit or stand to see the aquarium. I wasn't able to see the Mermaid show or the Underwater Santa, just a bunch of fish. Some mermaid art gallery next to it, meh and cheesy. Only takes a few minutes to see them, but something to do when you don't want to spend money in Vegas.

Yelp
A nice lil attraction that's located inside the Silverton Hotel & Casino, adjacent to the Bass Pro Shop. If you have young children, this aquarium would be a great idea. Depending on the time, there are two mermaid shows per hour, or so I've read. It's really cute to see the lil ones in awe when she goes close to the glass wall to interact with them. She'll wave, blow kisses, and do a few underwater tricks. Right away I was thinking of Disney's The Little Mermaid! My fam and I didn't even know there was a show. We just happened to be there when it started. After we had dinner at the Seasons Buffet, which is also located in the Silverton, we decided to walk to the aquarium. Five minutes later, a mermaid appeared. lol If you happen to be visiting the Silverton Casino, why not walk pass the aquarium? It's sure to offer some serenity to your day. Plus, it's free!

Yelp
The aquarium is free and it's inside the Silverton it has hundreds of fish and a mermaid that swims around at certain times. It's worth bringing the children to look at the fish than walk around bass pro shop which is attached. The Silverton also has a lot of good restaurants and free parking.
