The Ark is beautifully located in Stanley with water view frontage. We stayed in the Admiral room which was upstairs. It is a very spacious room, including a large lounge area for relaxing. We only met the host (Rhonda) in the morning at breakfast. We did our own check-in, which we were advised on our day of arrival. |Breakfast was excellent, fresh, tasty and plentiful. ||Parking is a bit tricky and very tight, unfortunately we damaged the hire car slightly when backing into the car park. |Thank you to our hosts for a relaxing, comfortable stay.

Our stay at The Ark Stanley was a fantastic experience. We spent three nights in the Anderson room. A well appointed room with lovely decor. The room was very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Our hosts Rhonda and Christer were wonderful. Cooking us a delicious breakfast each morning they are very friendly.

Fantastic three night stay at The Ark. Good idea to book directly with the property owners, best value stay 3, pay 2 nights and well worth it. Both Rhonda and Chris were friendly, helpful hosts who provided the BEST breakfasts, fresh and home made, each morning's breakfast seemed to have different stewed fruit and wonderful yoghurt along with fresh bread and jams, and also delicious eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc etc. The Admiral Suite was of very high quality, it was very clean, spacious and comfortable, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you R&C. We have already recommended the property to our friends for a relaxing stay. Dinners were at three local restaurants and the local pub is definitely the best meal.

The accommodation was luxurious as advertised. The location and view was sensational. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming. But best of all were hosts Christer and Rhonda who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend more highly.

My husband and I stayed at The Ark for 3 nights. We were allocated the Weatherley room which is separate to the main house. This room was a little compact but sufficient for our needs. It had hanging space for our clothes, a spacious ensuite (with double shower), a private balcony and a covered car port. || A very generous cooked and/or continental breakfast was included in the room rate. Christer and Rhonda took great pride in their home grown and locally sourced produce. This was reflected in their delicious breakfast. We loved the spiced zucchini!||During our tour in North West Tasmania we planned to do an Arthur River cruise on our first day and the Tarkine wilderness drive on the second day. . Staying in this B and B in Stanley for the 3 nights (and commuting for these activities) gave us the flexibility to see the penguins coming ashore in the evenings and do the Nut Circuit walk when weather conditions were favourable.|| We saw lots of penguins on our first evening and did the Nut Circuit walk one morning before breakfast. We earned our bacon and eggs that morning!||Stanley is a very quaint seaside town. We enjoyed many walks around town admiring the beautiful renovated cottages and gardens. All within a easy stroll from The Ark. The Ark is also a very easy walk to the local eateries. We enjoyed a dinner at the Stanley hotel one night (prebooking recommended) and Hursey's seafood the second night. On our third night we got a crayfish takeaway from Hursey's and enjoyed eating this from our deck at The Ark looking out on the magnificent sea views. ||We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Ark and would highly recommend to family and friends.
