The spacious rooms have great views and are beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the house. The owners are very welcoming and excellent cooks. Saturday night dinner was cooked for us using local ingredients, including wine and everything was superb. Breakfast features home cooked bread, cakes and jams. I would highly recommend a stay here. The village is very quiet but a little hard to find without GPS. This is probably a good thing as it makes for a very quiet location!

We stayed with our friends for 2 nights as a birthday surprise! L'Arrajou has a beautiful location overlooking the hills and mountains of the Pyrenees. Our host, Veronique made us very welcome and the wonderful breakfasts consisted of home produced and locally sourced produce which set us up for the day. The rooms have a stunning view and are very well appointed with superb views of the surrounding area. If we go back to this area,we will definitely revisit .

I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. It is in Bilheres, just north of Laruns, and has easy access to the Pyrenees park. In June the views of the green mountains and Pyrenees just beyond were even more stunning than shown on their website. The owner Veronique was very gracious and helpful. She speaks English. The breakfasts were wonderful, especially the cups of coffee served in (generous-size) bowls, a custom I could get used to. There is wifi and a beautiful common room for guests with a full kitchen and large dining table.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived at this beautiful B&B. We loved the stunning views from our room (Iraty) & from the dining room. Veronique has created a charming and thoughtfully equipped home from home. We loved the sun terrace, and all the facilities which included a kitchen & lounge for use by the guests. The little village of Bilheres is ideally situated for exploring the pretty Ossau valley. There are lovely walks on the nearby plateau and interesting places to visit by car-we would love to return one day. Thank you Veronique for making our stay so enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay here whilst on a cycle trip up into the pyrenees. The welcome and hospitality was warm and friendly, while the rooms and common areas were beautifully designed with stunning views. Breakfast was a delight, while we were directed to a charming and good value local restaurant in the evening. I wish we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I were only disappointed that we could not stay longer. This is a beautiful house, joyfully run by hosts Veronique and Herve Cambier. Stunning views, kind hosts, a beautiful and peaceful setting in a tiny village perched high in the Ossau Valley. The house is comfortable, tastefully decorated, and built to maximize the views. Our room on the main floor had a balcony and views in two directions of the valley and surrounding mountains. Although it seems remote, is only 30-40 minutes from Pau. We highly recommend l'Arrajou!

After sightseeing, and performing in Portugal for several days, it was time to return to France for the last concert with the rest of jazz group, the Wilbur Rehmann Quartet. The devastating floods in Lourdes caused an estimated 1 billion Euros in damage, and wiped out a few roads in the south of France. Our journey would take us past that region, to the foot hills of the Pyrenees mountains, and a town south of Pau, in the valley of Ossau. ||||Bilheres en Ossau sits high atop the Pyrenees; this lovely village boasts some of the most spectacular views and wonderful bed & breakfasts I have ever seen. Our hosts at the L'Arrajou chambres were marvelous and also real music lovers. The Gite Auberge de Ossau, located down the road, also hosts a summer jazz series. It was just amazing to perform outdoors there, with a truly spectacular backdrop, and to see the rest of the townspeople, some of whom actually lined the walls of the village to see our sold out shows. Our stay at the Chambres L'arrajou was one of the high points of our travels and a place we will surely return to. ||||This has been a fun and exciting journey for us. So plan to take a trip, rack up those frequent flyer miles, and experience other cultures and peoples whenever you can. You'll be very glad you did! L'adventure se poursuit!||||Eric "Doc" Smith

|1. Locate at the center of Pyrenees. easy to reach all tourist attraction spots. Not to say the B&B itself is the most beautiful scenery there. |2. Greatest viewpoint thru room window. |3. Best host ever
