"Hidden in the middle of Baytown’s Downtown Arts District is an art installation of unique proportions. Umbrella Alley derived from an initiative to beautify the historic Texas Avenue area in Baytown. Down this short alley, over 120 multicolored umbrellas float overhead, casting dancing shadows on the ground and alley walls. Umbrellas of every color create a wonderful, whimsical feel when venturing down the alley. The umbrella installation was created by the Baytown Tourism Team and the mural art was done by the Lee College Art Department. It displays the unique ecology of the Baytown area." - ATLAS_OBSCURA
No longer Umbrella Alley, but still filled with beautiful art! For more than a year, this alley way on Texas Avenue has been home to 13 new murals created by Houston area artists and a lock wall. It's the perfect picture spot right in the heart of the Downtown Arts District of Baytown.

Excellent place for pictures!
The umbrellas and the murals are very colorful. It is a cool place to come take pictures and to see the art on the walls. It is beautiful.
If you want to do something different and not spend any money you should come see The Umbrella Alley.
You can park close by on the street and there is even a park across the street where they were doing ice-skating.

I was really shocked when we got there! Not sure what I was expecting but was amazed! The talent that is portrayed is awesome! Below are some photos but they really don't do The Umbrella Alley justice! You have to see for yourself! I can say one thing for sure, its a very colorful and unique place to take photos!

I kind of came across the umbrella alley by chance. I missed my exit and was taking a detour. Could not resist stopping by and taking some snaps. It was in the middle of the afternoon and not many people were there, so I decided to take my bike up there and take a few pictures. Enjoyed it.

So fun! Even with the back wall missing, still got some great shots. Such a nice place to spend walking around. Got more great shots from park across the street and walking around. Plus the Sabor of Mexico nearby was definitely the cherry on top. This trip did not disappoint.

Great place for photo shoots & video shoots. I recommend going during the week or a Sunday for low crowd attendance. The earlier the better.
Quiet unless you bring the noise. There are other spots near by for shoots as well.

Really cool place for pictures! There’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Too bad some murals have been vandalized.
