Great location, but poorly managed and not especially clean. I booked a room with breakfast, but when I went to breakfast room in the morning it was empty. I was told that the restaurant was only open from 3pm so breakfast should be taken in my room. I was in room 310 but could not sleep before midnight as next door cafe has speaker mounted on wall right outside, blasting music until late. Definitely avoid rooms on front of building. Left my backpack in storage room, and when I came to collect it found it tossed on the dirty floor and covered in dust. Place has potential, but needs better management.

Yes, very good location in downtown area. Everything else is poor to terrible. Hot water takes 5- 10 minutes to arrive through pipes. All else is in major need of renovation. Claim on website that this is a 'new' hotel is designed to mislead. I really question where the 5 star ratings are coming from!

Nice location in the city everything is around you like restaurants and places to visit and transportation but no parking in the hotel, and before you pay for your room you must insure that it's the same room from your booking.

We stopped here for the first 2 nights on a Women’s Expedition tour of Jordan. It was a bad introduction to that beautiful country. Whilst it is conveniently centrally located the downside to that is it is on a busy road junction in Downtown Amman and the hotel was extremely noisy as it doesn’t have adequate sound proofing. Traffic runs until the early hours of the morning, honking and tooting, and this started again early morning. If you are lucky you will also have a traffic officer tooting his whistle for hours too. The entrance to the lobby is a corridor of attractive souvenir shops with beautiful lighting and the lobby itself stunning with its reproduction of The Treasury of Petra. There is a lift to all floors which is good but if you want to use stairs it’s a bit of a grubby adventure. The rooms are basic but have a/c and a nicely decorated wall (art?). The beds reasonably comfortable but the bathroom was old and tired and needed a good clean. In my washbasin I had some urinal balls which gave the bathroom a horrid smell. Breakfast whilst a good view from the top floor, was basic. Fresh omelettes but limited average mezze and presented with not much care. No fruit.

I loved the location. First room had a sewer smell, thus I asked to be changed to a different room which worked just fine. I stayed over 25 days here, and I chose a room facing the Main Street which was noisy, but I wanted to live the experience. Breakfast was ok, but if they don’t have enough guests, no buffet and you will get a plate of their choice. They lack the experience when it comes to American coffee!!! Loved the staff at the restaurant and the front desk, but they have a so “called manager” who greatly lacks the hospitality experience, so don’t expect them to receive anything and hold it on your behalf. I had to cancel appointments and be tardy to events due to this unavailable service. I had to wait for my laundry to be delivered as they will not do that on my behalf, and I had to wait for packages to be delivered due to the fact that they will not provide this simple kind of hospitality. This is the main reason for gave them one star, but If you don’t mind this last point, then it is the hotel for you.

Very basic hotel. When we checked in and went to the room it hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants. They then changed our room. The shower needs curtains as water spills everywhere. The breakfast was a disaster as it seemed like one guys was doing the cooking, cleaning tables, doing the dishes, maintaining the toilets etc so obviously nothing was cleaned properly. He was doing his best but they need more staff to help for breakfast. Location was really good though

Really not recommended! The 5/5 Ratings without any comments seems dodgy and fake, because if you really have been there, there is no chance you rate this hotel a 5/5. The Art Hotel seems to be under a bad management and urgently needs improvement in many ways. They might rely too much on the fact it is mentioned in the Lonely Planet (why?) and tour groups us the hotel as a base. The rooms are shabby, dirty (think hair, dirty towels, faulty electrical wiring, the list goes on and on). The mostly male staff (except the very kind front desk lady) is desinterested and send some very weird vibes towards female travellers. One of them asked me straight away at check in - without doing anything, if i could mention him in a „good tripadvisor“ review. I would like to know why. This is highly unprofessional. Breakfast is as basic as it gets, the lift is a death trap in case of fire (the stairs seems to lead to nowhere, others end op in a dodgy, dirty kitchen). The windows are not double glazed, so the loud noise of the honking is keeping you awake. The location though is pretty good, right in the centre and walking distance to many interesting sights and restaurants. But that’s basically it. We toured Jordan and stayed in Hotels, which have less stars (2*), but where much better. Its a clear no from me.

The location of this hotel is convenient for shopping and walking to local attractions but unfortunately, that is the only good thing that I can say about it. It is dirty, the halls are dark and dreary and felt dangerous at night time. My door did not have an extra security lock and the peephole was blocked so that you could not see who was knocking. The towel (they only give you one towel per room) was grey and hard from wear and tear and felt dirty. The lobby is very dark and loaded with old dirty furniture. There is no place to sit and connect with fellow travelers. You must walk past shops to get into the lobby so it is difficult to find, look for the small sign on front of building between the shops if you must stay here. By far the worst hotel that I stayed in while in Jordan. If you can, stay elsewhere.
