The Artist Athens

We absolutely loved The Artist - it was a fabulous play to stay. Our room was a good size, well laid out and the shower was really effective. It is also a great location from which to see Athens and a fun part of town. The breakfasts were fabulous, the best I have had in a hotel. The fruit salad was always full with ripe fruit, the bread and pastries were so fresh and yummy and YOUR choice of main was always superb. But most of all, we loved the staff, they were so friendly and helpful, no matter the issues, they became like a second family.

The Artist Athens was a delightful surprise. From the outside, you might not guess what a gem it is inside. The interior is modern, stylish, and full of character. The service was outstanding—Nikki in particular went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Our room was good, comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and a powerful shower that washed away the fatigue of a long travel day. It felt safe and welcoming throughout. Although it’s officially rated as a 3-star hotel, it surpasses many 4-star properties I’ve stayed in—especially in terms of service, comfort, and atmosphere. One of the highlights is the rooftop: open to visitors, it features a fantastic restaurant and an astonishing view of the Parthenon. There’s controlled access to ensure guest privacy, which is a smart touch. Breakfast was tailored, fresh, and satisfying—just what you need to start the day. The location is right in downtown Athens, within a 15-minute walk of major sights including the Parthenon. Don’t miss the charm of the nearby backstreets, full of lively local restaurants and hidden gems. A truly memorable stay in the heart of the city.

This hotel is amazing. It was the best part of our trip to Athens. One small comment would be to keep the AC on in the rooms , at all times. It was a heat wave and our room was warm. |The Food in the hotel rooftop was off the charts!! And by far the best we had on our entire vacation. We literally went back the second night and ate our way through the entire menu. |The chef (Alex) is so talented and kind. He literally made the experience so amazing and I am stlll thinking of those green beens, which sounds weird , trust me you must try them. Effie our server was also great, and an asset to your establishment. |We told everyone about our experience, and would deflintly return .

Nice hotel in a great location. The staff were great, very accommodating/helpful and the room was comfortable. I arrived after midnight and was welcomed with a refreshing drink. The room had a nice welcome bottle of water and Nespresso capsules at your leisure. Breakfast was fantastic and filling. The room was near the elevator, but my area in the hall had a separate glass door to minimize the sound (great idea). I was facing the street so I could reasonably hear a bit of noise. I found things to be a walkable distance from the hotel. I chose to take an uber from airport to hotel then an arranged car from hotel to airport (prices are fixed!). Overall, would stay again.

The Artist provided great customer service! We were upgraded to a spacious room with Acropolis view as a total surprise. Thank you!! And the next morning when we were about to leave to find some breakfast elsewhere, they reminded us that a full cooked breakfast was included in our rate. They could have economised and said nothing, but the caring staff was looking out for us. What wonderful people you all are at The Artist. We will come back!

This is a quaint little hotel that’s big on service. Great options for daily breakfast. The rooms are kept clean and fresh with daily service and towels. A small Nespresso machine in the room helps you start your day. The rooftop bar and restaurant have a view of the Acropolis. Awesome drinks and great view! Location wise you can’t do better, close enough to walk to restaurants, bars and the major sites. Definitely a great spot if you’re visiting Athens.

After traveling all over the world, I find that small boutique hotels provide the most authentic stay anywhere that you go. We were particularly impressed by the cooking class that they put on there. It’s a wonderful hotel in the perfect place.

Although it was not very expensive, hotel surprised me with a nice, modern, industrial style. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel crew was very friendly and helpful making this stay even nicer. Breakfast a la cart were also very tasty with some healthy options. Hotel is located in a city center so perfect for visiting, but might bea little louder during the night especially on the weekends, as there are many rooftop bars in the city center, but it wasn't problem for me. Highly recommended!
