Exquisite Dining at The Artist: A Culinary Journey in Bucharest The Artist, the renowned restaurant in Bucharest, is widely recognized as a landmark in the city. Located in a classic old building with a charming back terrace, it is advisable to make reservations in advance. Its fixed menu, functioning as a customizable tasting menu, offers a remarkable gastronomic experience. The interior of the restaurant is impressive, although it would be advisable to restore the upper area (with incredible paintings). The service, while polite and attentive, appears to lack specialized training. Some errors, such as confusion in orders and the absence of tablecloths on the terrace, could be avoidable to maintain the overall excellence of the place. In my case, my menu consisted of the option of 5 dishes, which I chose according to my interests. It was ideal, especially with the generous addition of a complimentary appetizer. Although the price per person (69.42 euros/341 LEI) may be considered high compared to Spanish standards, the quality of the dishes and well-balanced portions partially justify the cost. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to update its menu more frequently to offer variety to its regular customers. In summary, The Artist remains a standout option for food enthusiasts in Bucharest, with a notable area for improvement in staff training and the periodic modernization of its menu. Recommendations: For a more complete experience, it would be interesting for the restaurant to consider offering different atmospheres for different moments of the meal, such as using the terrace for desserts during the summer. Additionally, enhancing English proficiency among the staff would ensure impeccable service for international diners.

A Michelin star experience! The service was extraordinary, fast and nice. The food was incredibly tasty and the presentation was amazing. We had a 4 course meal which I think it's a minimum for discovering the menu proposals. You can go for more even. If you have a special anniversary you can ask for the nice separate table in the garden for a more romantic atmosphere.

Our strict vegan diet directed us to explore the offerings at The Artist last evening. To say we were impressed by the menu would be a gross understatement. It was explained to us that the restaurant is housed in a former private residence completed in the 1890s. The atmosphere is unique and conveys a feeling of spaciousness due to the large rooms and high ceilings. An elegant and winding staircase delivers one to the restrooms should one be in need. What about the food you ask? Well, we opted for the 5 course option consisting of specialty vegan dishes that included a mushroom risotto and cucumber sorbet. Everything was deliciously superb in appearance, texture, color, and finally taste. A literal feast for the taste buds. If you’ve read this far you’re no doubt wondering “what about the service”? Same answer. It too was outstanding. For the sake of brevity I will close by saying that on our next visit to Bucharest, we will certainly carve out time to again enjoy an extraordinary dining experience at The Artist.

The food is absolutely amazing, the way flavors and textures are combined is simply astonishing. We've had 4 courses and spent about two hours, but the atmosphere is so pleasant we didn't really feel time passing by. The service is impecable, everyone is so friendly and helpful. It's one of the best places to take someone on a date or a special night out. The place was packed, but quiet. You absolutely need a reservation.

Atmosphere is very friendly and cozy U can have a great time here because the staff is very qualified and knows what to do for your pleasure and good time here. I take 3 meats First one was tartar avocado. It’s really incredible. Avocado and small pieces of onion and incredible souses. This is a cold dish The second dish was potatoes greten with truffles. Wow 🤩. This was hot dish The last one was dessert Cucumber sorbet It’s very strange but u need to try it. The idea is really good to show how u can use the vegetables in desserts and make something new and interesting. I will come back to u. Really good and very good experience

I am super excited about writing this review. Omg - Michelin level restaurant…innovative, tasty, flavoursome, generous (spoon size but long lunch). This was my favourite place in Romania and I absolutely love such places. What a talented chef…every single dish was spectacular amazing fantastic. If I am ever in Romania again, I will be here.

Absolutely phenomenal food. The restaurant itself is beautiful, walking from centre takes you through a much more local vibe than the touristy areas which giving you more of a feel for life in Bucharest. We were sat outside near the garden, which was delightful, beautiful plants and a lovely patio. We went for 4 courses with the wine pairing and each one was fantastic, the highlight for me was the celeriac (or amusingly written as Celery on the menu) and truffle gratin, it was endulgent, rich and packed with flavour! The seabass medalian was also fantastic and the dessert (chocolate and baileys ganache) was heavenly. The prices aren't cheap for the city, but £90 per person for 4 courses WITH wine pairing (which, I might add, was fantastic, the wines were wonderful) is a bargain to me. Loved loved loved it.

I was very excited to try this restaurant, and my expectations were not disappointed. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The most expensive restaurant I have been in Bucharest but worth the visit if you are into moder cuisine. The food was delicious, my favourite was the cucumber sorbet, and the less favourite (but still tasty) was the BBQ chicken.
