On the Grid : Arts District Farmer’s Market

"Located in the Arts District Triangle (not the official name...we think), Thursdays seems a little more summery with the AD Farmer's Market setting up shop. The market has a good mix of practical items like salsa, kale, peaches and onions; and those stalls showing off candles and jewelry. There's even room to sit down and chat with your neighbors; if you're lucky, live music will be there to serenade you." - verynice

Google
This is a great market where you can find farmers vendors, different type of food vendors, like italian fresh pasta, italian cheeses, lasagna, italian extra virgin olive oil, prosciutto, honey, tee, cakes, flavored waters, delicious buns, tamales ready to eat, natural soaps, shampoo and toothpaste,CBD products like gomies and oils, bautiful and tasty mushroom, an amazing Noodles food track and more! I suggest you to visit this market if you are close to Art District bon Thursday afternoon it's run from 3 pm to 7 pm

Yelp
We didn't come here on purpose, we were bar hopping around arts district downtown LA, decided to check this farmers market out. This market itself was very small, very limited venders and food trucks. But the venders I saw were very interesting, such as scented candles and creative fashion jewelry. The most exciting vender was the pin up dresses, she sells so many different colors and patterns pin up dresses! Although I am a big fan of pin up looks but I had never really looked into getting one of those dresses, so this was the perfect opportunity to make it happen! The dresses were very well made and tailored, extra small ones fit me perfectly! I only got a white one with blue flowers on, I will see how I feel in a pin up dress, if I really love to be in it, I will definitely get more of those next time!

Yelp
The farmers market was really quite small with about eight vendors total and three food trucks. I wish I could give this four stars and I could definitely see it earning the extra star or two as it continues to grow but as of right now, the options were lacking. There was only one produce stand, but I was very impressed by the quality and price. There's free parking on 3rd St. right before Alameda from 5-9pm. Look for the black and yellow "Public Parking" sign. However, the entrance ramp is super short so those with low cars, beware. I was in an Accord and we scraped getting in and out of the lot. Since it's still in its infancy stage, the Farmer's Market unfortunately isn't worth making the trip on its own. Definitely go to one of the many great restaurants in the area and walk around the Farmers Market before or after dinner.

Yelp
Love this little tiny farmers market. Not an extensive selection but for my purposes and available time frame + location: fantastic! Located on the corner facing Wurstkuche, Pie Hole and Umami Burger, this farmers market is centrally located. Hours are 5-9pm Thursdays!

Yelp
Very limited vendors. You can probably go through the whole thing in 15 minutes. Produce vendors don't seem like growers, just resellers unfortunately. Free parking is the best part about the Farmers market. However, driving into the lot is an issue. The slope is so steep, my friends Honda Accord (not a low riding car) scraped on the way out. Ouch! For those of you with nicer sports or low riding cars, beware!!

Yelp
Organic veggies, hummus, yogurt, cheese, chicken and duck eggs, pommes frites, dumplings, honey, soap, jewelry. It's small, but it's local.

Yelp
Great place to spend your Saturday supporting local businesses! More of a neighborhood experience with local pop up shops and food trucks than your typical produce-focused "farmers market."

Yelp
i'm a newb when it comes to farmers markets and wasn't sure what to expect when I dropped by last night but was pleasantly surprised by all the hardworking vendors selling everything from sponges to the best sheep's milk greek yogurt I've ever had http://www.yelp.com/biz/aris-natural-foods-hawthorne there were a few food trucks and a natural healthy southern food stand gotta try that next time it's pretty small right now (you could lap the whole thing in 10 minutes) but hopefully it'll grow as more people come out and show their support as a member of this community, I think it's really important to support local businesses and a farmers market is perfect for this area it's also a fun thing to come to on a Thursday with some friends when you wanna grab some food and just hang out!
