The Atlantic Inn, St Mary's

Excellent location, so close to the harbour, co op, restaurants, shops. Brilliant staff who were lovely, friendly and helpful. Especially the guy who did the pub quiz and definitely helped out the waiting staff, kitchen, cleaning etc. Room was a little tired on decor/carpet but was a great size, great facilities and amazing. They had a great cleaning service every day.|Breakfast menu was fabulous and worth it....8-10....maybe could be 10.30 but that's just me being lazy ! 😁 |Had such a lovely stay and when we return would still book the exact same room.|Being disabled this is the best hotel as on the flat, compared to the Star castle on a steep hill. Atlantic had much more reasonable prices. |Hubby saw a rare bird 🐦 and was thrilled. The Sapphire boat staff were lovely and had a fantastic day on tresco. The Mermaid pub had very delicious food as well. |We loved our honeymoon 😍

We were incredibly lucky to have stayed in the Atlantic Hotel in October this year. The hotel has an amazing location - literally looking over the harbour and bay as well as in the main Hugh Town of St Mary's. Going to other islands was incredibly easy from the hotel.... just a minute walk to the harbour and the boats that went each day to St Agnes, Tresco, Bryher and St Martins. We noticed there wasn't any other hotels that had such a great view. Not only a wonderful position, we loved the rooms we had that were well equipped with coffee machines, huge towels and very comfortable beds. We had breakfast each morning which was really good - I'd certainly recommend the vegetarian option! We chose to eat in the restaurant several times during our stay. Despite being busy the service was swift and friendly and the food great. A perfect visit and we will definitely return 😊

Well what a wonderful place to visit. The team knew everyone by name, the rooms were clean, great view and so well looked after. The team were stand out, lovely conversations being had with all guests, locals and even when the team are off and you see them in St Mary's they say hello. Just a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Stunning location with amazing views across the harbour towards Tesco. Lovely well appointed rooms(I was lucky that one of the team showed me around a few other vacant rooms to help me decide between rooms for my next visit) lovely bar and terraces, great variety of drinks to choose from especially the selection of gins.|Highly recommended to pop in

Came to the islands for a short stay and booked with the Atlantic. What can we say they did not disappoint. The atmosphere to the services was more than we could have asked for. This place stands out for its food and staff and we will be sure to recommend to everyone. Thank you.

Wow! From start to finish, everything at The Atlantic has been 5*. First stop... carvery; delicious meats, a fantastic choice of veg, super drinks and friendly service to compliment! Rooms are super comfy and we had the view of dreams to add! Breakfast was superb, starting the day with scrambled eggs and salmon, cooked to perfection and again, wonderfully friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful! 🤩 We would not hesitate to book again and cannot wait for our return visit! 😀

We had a really disappointing meal here. I book a table for 5 at 2pm, told it was all booked over the phone. Turns out he had booked a table for 2 at 5pm.... Thankfully it was dead so we got a table, informed the girl we wanted to order asap, because our ferry home was in 1.5hrs. She had absolutely no rush in her at all, took forever to bring menus, take orders for drinks, I had to approach the bar to try and give her our meal orders. She said it was table service so then came to us. The food came out fairly quickly, and the man who bought it out was very friendly and nice. We ordered a wrap and sandwiche, both came out with a strange handful of unflavoured popcorn. The sandwiches and wraps were fine. The chorizo was extremely oily, and the tomato salad was swimming in vinegar and oil, it was so vinegary that I couldn't eat it and had to request it be removed from our bill. Once id paid, I saw that we had been charged separately for chips, rather then the cheaper add on price quoted on the menu when you add chips to the wrap. It was fully refunded to me by the man who bought the bill over, but is something to keep an eye out for! Im sorry to say it was a disappointing end to our trip.

Booked for our dinner on the last night of our holiday. Very disappointed with the food and service. My fish was so dry and hard and the sauce was slightly congealed on the plate. The pies were not hot all the way through, the burgers were ok. The service was hurried and we felt like a bit of an inconvenience.
