Simple, clean, and very well maintained facility. Dorm-style single bed room with sink, small desk, and a shared bathroom. Though, there are a limited number of rooms with private bathrooms. Delicious and filling breakfast and dinner served cafeteria style. Primarily serves as lodging for oil field workers, but very accomodating for travelers. Call ahead to secure reservations as oil field worker contracts can quickly consume all available rooms.

A nice place to step in for a bite to eat and a coffee. They also have bathrooms with running water. This was very worthwhile to stop at. The rooms are a bit pricey but it is to be expected so far away from major towns.

Excellent food, convenient and plentiful parking, very helpful and informative staff. It was perfect for what we needed. The only thing missing is for them to allow dogs.

This review is for helping attitude of FrontDesk. We landed there assuming we have reservation there but actually we had at DeadHorse Camp. FrontDesk lady ( someone senior behind computer ) not only helped us in directions of our camp also provided MAP and details of ehats what in Prudhobay I would like to stay with them next time - very much impressed !!

Great food, but the people staying here are very rude to outsiders. The staff is nice. I can't recommend having anything to do with this place unless you're a worker in the area, especially if you're not a dude.

It isn't fancy, but it is nice. A great dining room that takes care of the guests 24/7... but don't expect lobster and caviar. A great sundry store that can meet most of your needs. Comfortable, straightforward rooms; helpful staff... lots to like here. Be ready to wear those booties, though!

This place is phenomenal. The rooms are nice. The food is to die for. The location is perfect. Nancy at the front desk is amazing.

Great hotel, but a bit far from Yaviza, Panama if you're planning on touring there.

Yelp
We had a fun time eating lunch and dinner here. The food is fine, a buffet that's geared towards oil field/construction workers. It wasn't fine dining, but it was filling, if you wanted it to be. The food aside, we loved talking with the oil field workers. It's a very different way of life, and it was a real treat to learn about how they work and live. We didn't stay in the hotel, but walked through it. Seemed clean enough.

Yelp
When getting off the island and we have time to stop I enjoy stoping here. Very nice people and very clean. Big enough to get lost. But if you make it to the relax room with pool tables on the other side. Highly recommend it. Great view of lake Coleen. And ds-13 plus the meals are good and the rooms are decent.

Yelp
A friend and I were riding motorcycles up to Prudhoe Bay/Coldfoot and were in need of food and lodging. For those who don't know this part of the country, there is no "town/city". This is an industrial area that exists to service the oil industry and constant flow of workers who work in the difficult environment. The Aurora Hotel caters to oilfield workers on a long-term basis, but who accept wayward travelers like us. The check-in process was very simple, and the person we dealt with was excellent. The facility was scrupulously clean...the rooms, cafeteria, bathrooms, laundry facilities, etc. Our rooms were large and each included a king size bed, recliner, large tv, big bathroom and the appropriate towels and toiletries. The cafeteria is something to behold and is the crown jewel of the hotel. It is a 24/7 facility, that always has significant quantity of food and drinks. In addition to the 24/7 Offerings, they serve three full meals every day. These meals include multiple entrees and the accompanying sides. The night we were there, the entrees were steaks and grilled fish. And, it was all-you-can-eat. We ate when we arrived, ate a late dinner and had an early breakfast before hitting the road at 5:00am. Although we did not use them, they have full laundry facilities that appear to be included in the price of the stay. There was also a really nice workout room...which we also did not use. I believe we each paid about $160 for the night. This included the room, all the food we could eat, and the various amenities (laundry, workout room, etc). A very good deal. You have to work pretty hard to end up in Prudhoe Bay/Coldfoot in need of a room for the night. However, if you do, you can't beat the Aurora Hotel. Highly recommend..

Yelp
If you've ever worked or stayed in Prudhoe Bay for whatever reason and have never stayed at the Aurora Hotel you will understand the 5 star rating. The Aurora Hotel is located just off the main road in Prudhoe off the Haul Road, or Dalton Hwy for all you cheechakos. Stellar accommodations, food, service, and interior design. I have to stress the lifestyle here in the frozen north, and how the only reason for this town's existence is to produce oil, and why it feels like a luxury to stay here. Since this place is relatively new the floors are clean, linens smell fresh, lighting and art are somewhat modern, and the food is fresh and cooked well. Top notch. One downside is that BP holds 90% of the accommodations for their workers and contractors, regardless of actual occupancy, making reservations a little on the hard side. If you ever brave the haul road, and make it to the land of oil, this would be the place to stay!

Yelp
Spent 3 days on the slope as an engineering consultant, stayed at the Aurora. Room and Bed were simple, comfortable, shower hot, TV enormous, and it was clean. This is not a luxury hotel, or is it? Man, the food! I put on 5 quick lbs in a few days, the food was excellent. The people were great, and the facility is perfect for working up here.

Yelp
Amazing! Lard Belly got it right. This place was AWESOME. Kiddo and I surprised the hubby by flying up and spending a few days with him in Prudhoe Bay. This was the only hotel that had availability and a room for two. Facility was spotless, salad bar was great, and service was impeccable! As a female and young child, I felt like the entire staff was looking out for us. We enjoyed the pool tables, ping pong, walking around the town (look out for bears!), and visiting with the workers. Lots of wildlife--musk ox, caribou, swans, birds of all species! A wonderful experience, HIGHLY recommend.

Yelp
After a 14 hour drive from Fairbanks that we did in 12 hours, we were starving. Thank God we booked at Aurora because the food selection is amazing and it's all you can eat and you can get many items to heat up yourself outside of meal times. Breakfast is served 0430-0730 Lunch is served 1130-1300 Dinner is served 1630-2000 The beds are super comfy. There are 38 TV and movie channels. All parking spots have plugs for your engine block heater in the winter. There is a quiet library to read and work on your laptop in addition to a 24 hr gym, and a smoking lounge. There is complimentary WiFi though you can pay to upgrade. (I have Verizon and get 3G on the slope. Standard rates are around $170/single $270/double per night. Call to book, don't use the website because it doesn't work. Booking can usually only be done at most 1-2 weeks before arrival since it's almost always full. No alcohol on the slope so don't try to bring it. ;) The Aurora is a breath of fresh air on the North Slope.
