Stayed at the Avenue for a weekend in October. Steve, the owner, is friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was comfortable, cosy and warm. Breakfast was ideal. Fantastic being able to park, as often find parking at Jesmond hotels quite challenging. Parking permit £2 per day and I didn’t experience any issues parking in front of the property each night. Would definitely stay again.

Nice, fuss-free B&B, located in a quiet area in Jesmond, just north of the Newcastle city centre (it's about a ten minute walk to the nearest metro stop). The single room was small, but perfectly adequate for a two night stay. The two staff members I came across were very friendly. There was also plenty of storage space in the room. Breakfast was an extra £7.50, which worked for me as I had other engagements already planned.

A nice friendly guest house which was lovely cosy and warm in February. The breakfast was just about right with various cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, filter coffee and a basic English breakfast or variants of. Steve mine host is very convivial. The rooms and bathroom where of a reasonable size. Good value for money.

This B&B has so much potential. It's in a great location (only 25 minute walk from the centre), all the basics are there which work well and the room rate is great value for money. The cleaning however is not up to standard. I found multiple hairs in the room that weren't my own and when I reported it back to the manager, he said it wasn't his department and tried to get me to talk to the cleaner instead. I won't be coming back here.

Stayed for a couple of nights for first weekend in July. In nice area with some nice pubs, bars and places to eat not very far away at all and local Jesmond area quite lively at night. Also there is the cricket club right next to the B&B which is nice to visit and stop for a pint. And city centre is walking distance away. Steve was a great host and a good guy with lots of helpful tips and advance/guidance on places to eat and drink etc locally. Good value for money with nice clean rooms. I would definitely stay again.

What a lovely b&b and the staff/manager was so lovely and friendly. Nice quiet area and it seemed very safe, all the guests were lovely too everyone chatted away it was such a nice atmosphere. 20/30 minute walk from town but the metro isnt far away either. Will definitely be back sometime.

For the price, this is a nice little b and b. Stayed in single ensuite rooms. Bathrooms were a bit small but functional. Breakfast was very good, catering for vegetarians too. Proprietor was friendly, helpful and lovely. Car parking was no extra cost as hotel provides permits free for the duration of your stay. We stayed on a very hot weekend in July and the rooms were very hot, so I think a fan in the room would have been welcome, other than this I would stay again as it's very close to the city but not right in the centre so no problems with noise when sleeping.
