The Avenue Restaurant

Avenue – Mediterranean Delight Had a wonderful dinner at Avenue, a lovely Mediterranean spot. We started with mussels and fried calamari, both were absolutely delicious. For mains, I had the pasta frutti di mare, while my wife had the rigatoni al pollo, creamy, comforting, and full of flavour. Overall, a great experience – solid 5 stars for the food. Only downside was the service being a little slow, but worth the wait!

One of my favorite spots in Malta, food is always amazing, service top notch, and surprisingly the price is very reasonable especially considering how delicious it is and attentive the staff are. Big thanks to our server Johnny who not only made amazing recommendations ( the pistachio cheesecake cake!!) but anticipated our needs as we sat outside and was abit chilly and he just got us some blankets without us even asking for it, definitely attentive. Thanks so much for a lovely lunch! Highly recommend and will be back!!!

Their location on Google Maps is incorrect. Separately the beef Wellington I ordered was not prepared as per industry standards. It is supposed to be made from a single piece of meat and not made of a stake cut in half. Looked more like a baked potato. I suggest you remove it from the menu until the chef will make it right. Prices are high too.

We dined here as a couple on my birthday. I'd pre booked and mentioned on the booking it was my birthday, my partner mentioned it to our server as well and no gesture was given, which was slightly disappointing as we both work in hospitality and feel this would have been a nice touch. Restaurant was lovely, staff nice, food tasty although my spaghetti with clams was a little bland to be honest, both seasoning needed or garlic, something. Overall, nice place but I probably wouldn't dine again just due to the lack of 'anything' for my birthday

Great family run restaurant, excellent food and service in portomaso next too the marina. This time I had the big juicy flame grilled pork chops 😋 amazing.

We had dinner here yesterday and it was amazing! For starters, we tried the fried calamari – super tasty and definitely a great choice. I had the tortellini alla crema – delicious, and the portion was big too. The cocktails were also really nice, especially the piña colada. Even though the place was very busy, the staff were super friendly and helpful 🤗. Totally recommend this place – would love to come back!

A lovely restaurant with a warm ambience and excellent service. The staff is friendly. The food is well prepared and flavorful, with the highlight being the puff pastry salmon crispy on the outside, tender and delicious inside.
