This is a superb luxury boutique hotel, ideally located in the centre of the city. Outside it is hot and steamy, inside it is calm and cool, helped in no small measure by the legions of young, polite and super attentive staff. We were upgraded to a larger room, that had sofa, balcony, robes, double sinks and lots of tasteful design features. Top quality linens, super bed, lovely rain shower. Cafietere, ground coffee and bottled water were topped up daily. It’s worth noting that we ate in the Japanese restaurant, had cappuccino from the coffee shop and most of the breakfast items without any of us falling ill, which speaks volumes for the hotel’s hygiene standards. The interior pool area was lovely, very green with ambient music in the background. You could even ring a little bell to summon the coffee shop, which made one feel a bit like his Lord or Ladyship. |Breakfast included fresh fruit and juices, homemade spreads, bread and cook to order items. Pastries could be slightly better, based on what was available in the coffee shop.|The bar was fabulous and offered a happy hour with half price cocktails, which was a steal. Great view across the city from the bar’s terrace. My son liked the massage he had on site.|Siem Reap is a bustling small city, full of character. It was easy to walk to temples, Pub St, the river and so on. The Angkor complex requires hiring transport, but is within easy reach. Although you get some polite touting for trips and tuk tuks, overall we felt very safe.|The only slightly odd note was we were charged for a glass my son accidentally broke. I’ve never known this before, as normal wear and tear is inevitable.|Despite this, we were all sorry to leave. It was a lovely stay.
