Visited today with our Team from work. Charlotte displayed next level customer service and was so pleasant to deal with. The breakfast bap was very good. The Team was all impressed and we will be back again in the near future.

Very disappointed with the food. Wow, £8.00 for this bacon and egg roll that was poorly prepared—undercooked bacon, liquid egg, and a tiny bun. This place used to be excellent and fairly priced, but standards have clearly dropped. Even after raising our concerns, the response was far from helpful. Sadly, we won’t be returning—much better value can be found elsewhere.

A great place to stop off at as an alternative to Gloucester Services on the M5. There is a view over the airport with private planes and helicopters flying in and out. Good outside area, especially for children.

It’s a nice cafe/pub venue very close the the runway. Although not that big plenty of tables available when we got there but you can pre book. Staff were pleasant and food was fine. There is some seating outside and sufficient parking. Would I make a trip to just go there again, probably not but great to take the kids if they like helicopters or light aircraft and is definitely good for people working there.

A wonderful day for my first visit to the Aviator. Working in the aviation industry has given me a different appreciation for aircraft than I did before. So being right opposite Gloucester Airport and having a great beer garden made it a good spot for watching various aircraft come and go. The weather was hot and sunny, so sat right at the bottom of the beer garden with a pint of Thatchers Haze, a bag of Pipers Longhorn Beef crisps and a slice of chocolate Swiss roll. This isn’t a Michelin star restaurant so I will forgive the establishment for the stale cake as the guy behind the bar made up for it. Very welcoming, funny and full of banter, just what you want in a place such as this. It’s totally old school, no bells and whistles which makes it comfortable. The place is full of aviation memorabilia as you would expect and very busy. I’m looking forward to returning and enjoying another pint (or two) but this time maybe a Weston’s Vintage Gold cider as the bartender recommended. Brilliant little place and certainly a hidden gem. They do normal pub food as well as breakfasts and plenty of parking

Let's get the moany bits out of the way first. When you order cod, chips, and mushy peas you expect to get cod, chips, and mushy peas. They'd run out of peas 🫛of the mushy variety so gave garden peas as an alternative. I'm northern, I don't do garden peas so they were set aside and wasted. My companion ordered a beefburger which was to be served with Monteray Jack cheese. They didn't have any so the burger was presented cheeseless. Nothing was said, disappointment on the food front. On the upside there was a delightful young lady by the name of Charlotte (pictured) working there. She had a wonderful sense of humour and it was obvious that she was dedicated to customer service. Charlotte cared, she was apologetic with regard to the behaviour of the kitchen staff. Charlotte is the reason I'll be returning to The Aviator. I'll be ordering the sausages, which are advertised as being served with garden peas. I'll be asking for a mushy pea substitution. I would hope the kitchen staff acknowledge my request and act upon it, or at least offer an explanation as to why they can't. I'll be wearing a false moustache and beard in case they recognise me. They ain't gonna spit in my food!

Great place to sit outside with a beer, or inside with food. The Sunday lunch is a hit with anyone who tries it, and plentiful. The dining area is clean and laid out nicely, wheel chair friendly. And for the plane enthusiasts, you are at the end of the runways, so you can watch the planes, and helicopters come in to land and take off. November 2024. Great place still, the food looks amazing, the staff are very accommodating, they found us a table so we could watch the planes. They have a great selection of beers and lager. What's not to like, give it a try, especially if you want to chill out and you enjoy watching planes.

Great place. Have only visited twice and only recently. Stopped off with my son yesterday after catching a bus near there. Was a nice walk to the pub, we were greeted by friendly staff. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, even if it was a little busy (lunch time) we had some absolutely lovely food. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely keep coming back.
