The hotel is icky. The floors and walls are noticeably dirty, giving off an outdated and uninviting motel vibe. The rooms emit an unpleasant atmosphere, making it hard to feel comfortable during your stay. It’s clear that this place desperately needs some tender loving care to improve its room appearance and guest experience. The pictures of the lobby are nice, but the rooms don’t match those pictures. We will not stay here again. I would 100% stay elsewhere. We transferred to the Hotel across the street, Keihan hotel, which was a cleaner option more suitable for a family.

The transportation is convenient, and the surrounding facilities are satisfactory. However, I encountered a recurring problem with the elevator access card. I live on the 6th floor, and when I tried to use the card reader located on the right side (outside-facing) of the elevator, it frequently failed to register correctly. I used two different room cards and tried four times, but the system repeatedly indicated that it was a "restricted area." Only when I used the card reader on the left side did it function properly. As a result, I was dragged along with other passengers and had to go up and down unnecessarily, wasting more than three minutes before finally reaching the correct floor.

The hotel was more of a upmarket youth hostel. The entrance and reception was nice but it went downhill from there.|We arrived at 8am after a 13 hour flight from London and were told there were no facilities to freshen up in but could use the lobby toilet. We were offered the ‘facilities’ of the b ‘lounge’ but this turned out to be a canteen like room with only hard chairs and the breakfast area screened off. Not comfortable and actually not very inviting at all.|We returned to the hotel at 2.40pm and was told we could not check in until the allotted time of 3pm. So we waited another 20 minutes, tired, hot and desperate for a shower.|The room was small as we expected but we were aghast there wasn’t a wardrobe!! There were four coat hangers on the wall and no drawer space at all. We had to live out of our suitcases for our stay. The hotel didn’t have a bar or room service of any kind. Breakfast was self service and we were issued with tickets for each day to present to the staff. Not what I would expect from a ‘hotel’ and to clear our own tables when finished.|We were bitterly disappointed with our stay.

We have been VERY happy with our stay!! We had a two twin room (each bed felt slightly larger than a USA twin bed). We used the space in the entry way for our suitcases- no problems there. Very quiet at night. Nice bathroom with the shower separated by a closed door (nice to keep the humidity from spilling into the room). The service is top notch!! They have free coffee/tea on the 1st for 24/7 & sweet treats every night from 8-10pm. The breakfast is great - from traditional Japanese cuisine to Western breakfast. Great location too- 7 minute walk to Senso-ji Temple, 3 minutes from one metro stop and within 10 minutes of an additional 3 stops. Highly recommend!

Love this room. The standard is there. Room is of reasonable size. Bedsheets is smooth and standard hotel bed sheets. Bed is firm and comfortable. Shower and toilet is separate cubicles and shower is a new experience with shower head in top. Jet spray along the shower panel and a normal shower spray. The whole hotel is fairly new so it a great stay. Hotel is just opposite the major 1st attraction in Tokyo. And all the great shoppings are around. I didn't even venture out of the area at all. I only stayed 2 nights as the weekend prices are more than 2x because I booked late. Felt safe and comfortable as a sole female traveller staying in this hotel

It's my second time staying at the b Asakusa. My first stay was fantastic, so I was looking forward to return 8 months later. But the second visit wasn't as great. The sliding bathroom door was out of the slide, so the door could not latch and lock. When mentioned to reception, I was told there's nothing that could be done because it will take 1-2 days to fix, by which we would've checked out. No other compensation was offered. The texture of the bathroom floor also meant it's difficult to clean, and collected pink stain. Same goes for the walls, and you can see coffee stains from near the trash can. The sink still had beard shaving from previous guest. The cleaning staff seem overwhelmed by the amount of rooms needed to be serviced, so it's not their fault. Positives: the location is superb, the staff are friendly, plenty of tea selection, daily room service with amenities and nicely made up beds, and free evening desserts if you are quick enough. It's an ok but otherwise comfortable hotel. I would only book if there are ridiculous cheap deals, otherwise, the bathroom cleanliness alone is enough for me to look elsewhere in the area for my next Tokyo visit.

The hotel is around 10 minutes away from the MTR station. The room is a bit small. Excellent shower room with high water pressure! The mattress and pillow are good for sleeping. Overall good 👍🏻

Actually we liked the place, but the breakfast was not so delicious as in our previous hotel in Kyoto. Basically we received everything we needed, but I didn't feel sincere hospitality from staff, just standard service scripts. Still it's not bed and provides everything needed.
