I bit my bagel and said wow. These are crafted bagels. Crisp outside, soft inside, generous seasoning..... They also have nailed vegan cream cheese, the texture is lightly whipped and they have chive vegan cream cheese. Delicious, will be here often. Staff was friendly and efficient too

Google
I recently visited Bagel Factory and had a delightful experience overall. The place has great prices, delicious food, and impressively fast service. However, there was one minor disappointment: they don't serve pickles! Let's start with the positives. Bagel Factory offers an incredible selection of bagels, each one freshly baked to perfection. The variety of flavors and toppings they have is truly impressive. I tried their everything bagel with cream cheese, and it was absolutely scrumptious. The bagel was perfectly toasted, and the cream cheese was smooth and flavorful. It was evident that they use high-quality ingredients. What impressed me the most was the efficiency of the service. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that orders were promptly taken and delivered. Despite the bustling atmosphere, my order was prepared quickly, allowing me to enjoy my meal without any unnecessary wait time. The fast service definitely added to the overall positive experience. However, as a pickle enthusiast, I was disappointed to discover that Bagel Factory doesn't offer pickles on their menu. It would have been a wonderful addition to complement the bagels. While this may seem like a small detail to some, I believe that pickles can add a special touch to any sandwich or meal. It would be great if the establishment could consider adding pickles as an option in the future. Despite the absence of pickles, I can't deny that Bagel Factory left a lasting impression on me. The combination of great prices, delicious food, and fast service truly makes it stand out. If you're in the mood for fantastic bagels, this place should be at the top of your list. Just be aware that pickles aren't available, so adjust your cravings accordingly. Overall, I highly recommend Bagel Factory and will definitely be returning for more of their mouthwatering bagels!

Google
I am a Brooklyn boy living in San Francisco and found the bagel factory to be the best bagels west of the Mississippi! Their bagels are also a complete rival of the best of New York! So, but not though. Variety tremendous, even green ones on St. Patrick’s Day, Onion, bagels and garlic are my favorite and my wife goes for the everything bagel as well as sesame. But you can’t go wrong at this place. My three married daughters who live in Los Angeles say that everyone they know goes there – for good reason!!$

Google
Me thinks they changed (cheapened) their bagel ingredients post plan-demic. Their bagels are nothing special, dry and not professional quality. Even though they are the closest bagel shop to me, I just go up to Pico for Sam’s bagels- which are LEGENDARY quality. I used to frequent this shop for their affordable bagel sandwiches but not anymore; they cheapened the taste and made them pricey so makes no sense. Also the staff is never that friendly - a trend too common today with the minimum wage too high as it is. Service no longer cares about tips. (Side note about their clientele- I was disgusted to see a teacher pull up in her SUV and put the handicap placard- the entitlement in this area needs to be exposed. This doesn’t affect their 2 star review)

Google
Bagel Factory is great. Pretty straightforward menu with lots of choices. Clean, efficient, well run. Delicious Bagels. Parking is free but when it’s crowded… it’s crowded.

Google
My family has been coming here for years, this is the spot. Would 100% recommend.

Google
Scary looking owner and terrible bagels. The owner drops in about once a day to supervise and as soon as he walks in, all the workers look so scared, seriously there is something going on. Dirty atmosphere and unsanitary.

Google
Tried to support and ordered to go. Walked 30 min with our 3 year old. They had door locked, dirty tables outside and we tried to call, the workers acted like they didn't see or hear us. One waved us as a bother. Another ignored phone too and we could hear it. Saw our order was now cancelled. Used google pay. Now we wait days for refund. My wife used to use them for business luncheons. Their hours of operation were online and on door until 3 or 3:30 pm. We got there at 2:30 pm. We're done. Plenty of businesses to support.

Yelp
What's there not to like about the bagel factory? I mean their homemade bagels are good lol whenever I'm in the area I always get me an egg and cheese bagel and a coffee. I love the cheese they use on the bagel. The onion bagel is buttery and tasty, crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside, yummy. I also like their bakery. I've tried several of their bread and they're all good. Service wise I mean it's fine, you order your food and drink and it's done within minutes, I mean sometimes they're packed and might take longer but that's cool, that means people like them as well so why not give em 5 stars? They also got a few tables outside in case you wanna sit down and drink coffee. Keep it up guys

Yelp
So worth the drive. Glad we still have some good bagel places in LA that is not a chain bakery

Yelp
It is family owned and operated. Great New York style bagels with no preservatives or artificial ingredients. Bagels are always fresh, soft inside and crispy outside. Friendly staff, large selection and great prices. Easy parking with their own lot, mainly grab and go, since there isn't much seating available.

Yelp
The food was served fast with a friendly smile. The egg omelet sandwich was toasted buttered and served nice and warm with melty cheese. Simple unassuming very nice.. The egg salad was on a toasted bagel was just delicious. Again simple and unassuming. Very good.

Yelp
Sometimes, all you want is a good, old-school, New York-style bagel. Nothing artisan, exotic, or made for TikTok. Just a simple chewy bagel with great topography. You'll find them at The Bagel Factory, a family owned and operated institution (with 3 locations in LA). Their salt bagel is my favorite, toasted and slathered with goat milk butter (from my fridge). Crusty exterior, soft interior. For a few delicious moments, you'll remember that life is good. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Was in the mood for a cheddar jalapeño bagel, so I came here. Unfortunately, they did not have a cheddar jalapeño bagel but they did have a jalapeño bagel. I also purchased a garlic bagel and container of their chive cream cheese. I toasted my bagel at home and it was really good with their cream cheese! Service was quick and friendly and 4 bagels and a large container of house made cream cheese was under $14!

Yelp
Ambiance was kind of dingy but the service was fast and kind. The everything bagel is loaded and is tasty toasted. I had the vegan cream cheese which was kinda blah and when walking in to the place, figured it would be as such, but i just added pepper and ate through the yummy bagel. Next time, i'll ask if they can just do avocado instead. I wouldn't say they are big or oversized bagels, they run just the perfect hand held size. There's some seating out front but it's just a few metal tables and chairs on the sidewalk out front, nothing really 'cute' about the ambiance. They have refrigerated section with juices and cream cheese to go, as well as day olds and a baked goods section. Looks like their menu is extensive in offering sandwiches and soups too. Wasn't expecting more than just a bagel so reluctant to give five stars but that's what I came for and the bagel was great, and the service was faaast.

Yelp
An unexpected delight, a kosher bagel spot that never misses. They have fun mini bagels for dipping (or giving to your dog if they like bagels). The service is always helpful and quick. Even with a line they move through the queue quickly. A good place for a bagel in a pinch.

Yelp
So fresh so efficient soooo many options but truly the best in the city.I look forward to returning.

Yelp
Some of the best New York style bagels I have had here in LA. They have a shop right on Robertson and a parking lot with a couple spaces. I came here early on a Thursday morning to pick up bagels for a coworker's birthday at the office and had no issues with parking or a line to the register. I ordered the bakers dozen (13 bagels) and chose a good variety from the case and a couple small containers of their cream cheese. Of the bunch, I only tried the jalapeño bagel but got so much great feedback about the others. These come uncut, which I think is better to prevent them from drying out and a stark contrast to the pre-cut grocery store bagel. The house made vegetable cream cheese spread is so, so delicious. That smothered on a toasty, warm bagel is heaven. You can definitely taste how fresh the bagels are. They also had a vegan plain cream cheese and a vegan chive option as well. The bagels all come in a large paper bag, which I thought was unique. Service is pretty subpar unfortunately. I walked in with a smile and left feeling pretty meh. The workers working the register weren't very helpful in recommending any popular bagels or their favorites, which would've definitely helped me through picking 13 unique bagels. I can see why the line probably gets long here. My recommendation is to step out of your comfort zone and pick a sampling of ones you normally wouldn't get and do a mix of sweet/savory ones. You won't be disappointed with the bagels here.
google avatar

Marc N.

Yelp
I think they have good bagels here. lol. It's not the best, but I would rather go here than Noah's. Pretty home feel and nothing to complain about. I would give it a 3, but they seem like nice people tbh and since I live around the area, if I'm craving a bagel, here is where I'm going.

Yelp
Horrible service. Such a rude woman (Ilene? Irina?) working the front that gave SO much attitude when I asked if I could do a plain bagel with a side of smoked salmon. She kept saying I had to do the lox bagel and they don't do sides of salmon. When I pointed and said "why does it have a side of smoked salmon on the menu then?", she realized it said that and changed her attitude. Then over explained how the lox was better than the side because of how much salmon I'm getting while smiling and giggling because she knew she was wrong. Ridiculous. Won't be coming back again because of her.

Maricela A.

Yelp
I love this this place. However the staff iOS over worked or they don't like their Job. I tried calling a few times to place and order the phone rings rings and rings I get there and it's not that busy and yup they just let the phone ring off the hook. Plus when I do get through they pick up and hang up. I wish they had better customer service.

Pat R.

Yelp
Love this place!!!! They have a great variety of bagels as well as other tasty breads. They are vegan friendly and are friendly and fast!! Whether you are coming in for one or for dozens, they are great!!

Yelp
5 stars for 5 reasons - 1. Toppings on both sides 2. Friendly service 3. Easy parking 4. Plastic bag provided for storage 5. Bagels always fresh Frequent this place often, $9.55 for half dozen bagels = $1.59 a bagel, 4.5 oz each

Isabelle O.

Yelp
The bagels are really good, but the service is terrible. They always close early even though Google maps says open till 230pm and their toaster hasn't been working two times that I've gone! Very poor service, very unhappy with this location.
google avatar

Rika K.

Yelp
These are easily the best bagels around. They are so fluffy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside and so flavorful. They're jalapeno cream cheese is absolutely fire too. They've got a large selection with great variety of both bagels and spread and a pretty large menu of other toppings and fixings to go on them. They even have matzo ball soup and challah (although I haven't ordered those from there so can't give a review on them). The service is always quick and efficient. There isn't much in the way of ambiance. They have 2 small tables outside if you want to eat there but this is really just your no frills, pop in and order bagel counter. It's my go-to and any time I bring these bagels anywhere people love them!
google avatar

Yelp
I stop into The Bagel Factory anytime I need a little pick-me-up aka treat yo'self and order the same thing every single time - the Lox Sliced Sandwich! While I usually order it on a plain bagel, sometimes I'll switch it up and do a garlic or garlic-onion bagel. The employees are always friendly and the service is great - very efficient! I love the fact they're family owned and operated!!! I usually get my bagel/sandwich to go but if I had more time in the mornings, dining in would be an option! At some point I am also going to order bagels for the office, they have such a great variety and plenty of cream cheeses, too! Check out The Bagel Factory if you're looking for some tasty New York style bagels!
google avatar

Carlo B.

Yelp
Everything bagel w cream cheese was pretty good. Little too much caraway and corn meal IMO but the chewiness and taste of the bagel was great, five stars for LA for sure. Coffee was good too and service was fast for a Sunday at 930. Happy with the experience.
google avatar

Phoebe O.

Yelp
These are old school Brooklyn style bagels. Chewy on the outside, soft in the inside, traditional flavors, and super fresh. If this is what you like, you also know it's difficult to find. Not overpriced or oversized. Lots of fun East Coast Jewish flavors here, along with a few modern choices (pumpkin spice or rainbow twist) for the people who want them. Vegan breads and pastries. Soups and fresh prepared salads. I usually order some sort of veggie omelette sandwich with butter (not cream cheese) as the spread. (Cream cheese is a little strange after it melts and cools.) I've never been here when there wasn't a short line, and the little parking lot is usually full, but the food is prepared very quickly.
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
Not the best. The bagel was mid, not soft it kind of tasted day old. The tuna salad was very dry and not flavorful. I was not a fan. No indoor seating just one small two person table outside. The lady serving food was nice but that's about it. We wouldn't come back. Overpriced for what you get. Side of tuna salad was $20 and we didn't like it :( Bagels were $1.90 each I believe.
google avatar

Atom S.

Yelp
Not cute. Not Artsy. Not hip or trendy. Not trying to be. Just a perfectly serviceable bagel.
google avatar

Yamit Y.

Yelp
I wish that their customer service was as good as their food. The employees weren't rude to me or to any other customer while I was there, but still- not even a smile? I wasn't greeted or felt welcomed. Still, I would probably will come back here because it's convenient to me; located on my way to work, has free parking, and the service is fast. I waited not more than 5 minutes for my bagel. They offer a variety of different kinds of bagels, including rainbow, blueberry, chocolate, rye, onion, plain pretzel, egg, raisin, sesame, jalapeño, etc. I tried the egg pretzel bagel with cream cheese spread. Their cream cheese was delicious and the bagel was nice and fresh. The next day I stopped here again and tried a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese. Loved it. They take Apple Pay! Free and easy parking just in front of their shop.
google avatar

Frank D.

Yelp
This bagel factory has been here for a long time from what I hear. They are located in midcity and I actually enjoyed them. I ordered a garlic bagel with cream cheese which was just ok but the everything bagel with cream cheese was really good. Not more to say until I try out some of their other items they have. This place was pretty busy when I came so it seems very popular.
google avatar

Carmen K.

Yelp
Awesome service and such fresh bagels. I ordered peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a sesame seed bagel for myself and the hummus bagel sandwich for my grandson. Great service and food! The coffee was on point!!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for their beautiful rainbow bagels and their delicious omelette sandwiches! Everything is delicious-- and there is parking!! Will definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
Bagels are delicious, soft and fluffy. Ambiance was quaint and quite busy. Service was good.
google avatar

Howard W.

Yelp
Great bagels,, they also have soups and you can preorder and have your bagels cut! Not heavy and a lot of varieties. (Neiman's used to get their bagels from them years ago though not sure they do now as I have not been to their coffee shop in years). be careful with parking (narrow)
google avatar

Amalia S.

Yelp
Everything is super delicious! The bagels, the texture, flavors, the spreads, prices, BEST IN THE La area
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Even when I'm not hungry I think about these bagels! Great chewy balance of bite and bounce. Personal favourites are Everything bagel (love the pops of caraway seed flavor in there) and Sesame. Highly recommend the egg challah as well. Challah available on Thursday and Friday only. Parking in front. Note opening hours during Passover week are til 11am.
google avatar

Jorge Luis G.

Yelp
The best bagels, cream cheese, and soups. The soups include bagels. Challah variety is great too.

Rob F.

Yelp
Very good bagels. It's too bad they close so early. Unless my appointment is early I can't get there before they close.
google avatar

Jay A.

Yelp
Since early childhood my favorite bagel combination has been a salt bagel with vegetable cream cheese. If a bagel bakery does not have salt bagels I leave, typically never return. Today was my third trip to The Bagel Factory. It is out of the way for me; however, when I want a salt bagel made correct I come here. Why? Salt bagels are to have a hard crust covered with insane amounts of kosher salt. This is precisely how they do it. Textbook NY salt bagel - no BS. The center of bagel is light yet doughy. Again - precisely how they do it. What I had today was the only good salt bagel in the State of California. All the others are a joke. The bagel was very fresh, right from the oven in a big metal bin. Yes - classic NY style. Cream cheese was whipped with TONS of crunchy vegetables. And they provided me a nice thick layer of cream cheese. Their cream cheese and the vegetable cream cheese sold at Bristol Farms are the only correct veggie cream cheese spreads in Los Angeles County. The decor? Do you care? Old World NY bakery style. Adequate. Service? Could be better but does this really matter? Price? Fair. Get past the employees, the mediocre service and you will get an amazing product. So happy I took home some extras to freeze!

Adam C.

Yelp
The worst Customer Service ever! On multiple occasions the same lady running the cash register has the worst " I do not want to be here" face. Be professional say good morning smile or stay in the back. That horrible look for a Bagel Shop, who wants that fuchi face so early in the morning? Take your money elsewhere support small businesses that are actually grateful the community is spending their money on their business.
google avatar

LA LA L.

Yelp
MIDCITY LOCATION Do not use your credit card here! Better yet, I will never patronize this establishmentAgain. I used my AmEx card and this card does not leave my home. I used it at this establishment and the credit card was compromised. Yes, they tried to use it not once but twice. There is someone or more than 1 person talking customers information for their own personal use. THAT'S ILLEGAL! I did reach out to management via email on their website with no returned response. I have issues with people trying to take from andand capitalize off me then pretend you are servicing the people. Fraudulent Scammers

Adenice C.

Yelp
Amazing bagels and soups!!! I was there today and I had: Sesame bagel with plain cream cheese & Lox ! And a Veggie Chili soup! Perfect
google avatar

Beto T.

Yelp
Excellent bagels, and the service is fast and kind. The egg and onion bagels are fantastic. But who runs out of poppyseed bagels?
google avatar

Sian S.

Yelp
standard bagel shop, best deals are on day old bagels. nothing compared to the east coast (allegedly according to my bf, i can't vouch for that personally) but most definitely a step up from noah's. i'll be back for weekly bagels + their spreads which were definitely the most impressive thing on the menu. we recommend the lox mix.
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
Best bagels in the area! Been coming here for years and always a delicious solid bagel w perfect chewiness. Service is quick and coffee is always good. Low key shop in a mini strip mall w limited parking. Bagels are made on site and loads to choose from.

Chaim M.

Yelp
Bagels are the closest you'll get to a NY bagel outside of NY! They're everything bagels are so goooddd. I love the soups and muffins too. They can get really busy on the weekends or during rush hour. Best to order online to beat the line!

Andrea B.

Yelp
Always busy and really great sandwiches! I've had different types of bagels and they have quite a variety of toppings.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
It's convenient on Robertson in Beverlywood near the self drive through car wash. For Covid you wait outside and the line gets long quick because only one or two persons inside at a time. First you pay then another person gets the bagels. I'm happy they give you a bakers dozen so it's a little bonus for your $14.15 . I like that all the flavors are the same price except the pizza bagel. A "large" cream cheese with lox is $5.99. The size is really medium but it's tasty soft lox cream cheese. They have great chocolate Bagels, rainbow is cute, everything tends to be crusty, the nutrition bar has raisins and nuts. Blueberry and tomato basil are good to eat while drive home. ,
google avatar

Eric O.

Yelp
Bagels were good. Staff was rude and dismissive. The young lady who finally took my order ignored me until I brought it to her attention that I had bee waiting to order. She immediately became annoyed. I purchased bagels with cream cheese and I wanted to buy Challah bread and the clerk did not know when it would be available. It was bad customer service and I won't return to this bakery,
google avatar

courtney o.

Yelp
I ordered two bagels for pick up around 9am on a Friday morning. The everything bagel did not have any onion on it and tasted a day old. The most disappointing was the salt bagel I ordered. The salt was table salt! You would think a bagel chain would know the correct salt to use. Plus the bagel seemed tough and a day old as well. I have been to another location of this chain and I found it to be much better.
google avatar

Magaly J.

Yelp
Some of the reviews below surprise me; I have had only pleasant experiences in regards to service. The longest I have waited in line is 10 minutes. If you're hungry for BAGELS and you live nearby, The Bagel Factory offers a variety of tasty boiled bread rolls AKA bagels. I love that they open up at 6AM because I can just roll out of bed and take a nice walk to buy half a dozen bagels. RECOMMENDATION: My recommendation is trying the Bialy bagel (onion lovers will enjoy). My next second favorite is the Garlic bagel because you can put more on it than just cream cheese (the garlic really enhances your potential sandwich, bagel chip or grilled cheese). PARKING: It's a tiny lot, but partly on a residential street (Cadillac) so you can leave your car there if the lot is full. I do not know if I have been lucky, but I have always been able to park in the lot (it's free) AMBIANCE: It's a modest little shop. There is no seating. You just order and go. PRICE: Fair. It's what you would expect for a bagel shop located in West LA. Nothing ludicrous. I think last time I paid like $8 or $9 bucks for half a dozen bagels. Getting a dozen is a better deal, but I am just 1 person so I got the small 1/2 a dozen option. If you're in the Crestview area, I would recommend The Bagel Factory over the other popular competitors (i.e. Noah's NY Bagel, Yum Yum Donuts, Fred's Bakery & Deli). I have not tried "Halve Your Bagel" close to National and Robertson which is also in the area so I have no comment on whether or not it's better than The Bagel Factory. However, if you're in the mood for bagels, The Bagel Factory sells "solid" ones.

Yelp
One of 3 best bagels in town. Hands down! I bring my Mom most Saturdays. Extra yummy. Sesame! Egg! Rye! Pumpernickel! Great soups too! You can't go wrong.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Bagels are great, unfortunately, prices are out of control. Just one example: $18+ for 16oz of egg salad is pushing it. Get your bagels here. Get all your fixings elsewhere.
google avatar

Yelp
I drove past this place for months and thought it was closed..saw a line out the door today and decided to try it. Friendly service, tasty bagels made on premises. And they have great breads. I'll be back to grab a loaf or two for the holidays
google avatar

Samira S.

Yelp
This place is a classic spot I've been going to for years. Over the years, I've picked up bagels for classmates, co workers. It's perfect for a grab and go. I recommend it if you are looking for quality bagels or are on the go and want a quick breakfast. Sadly, they have a tendency to run out of chocolate bagels which is my fave! But life happens and sometimes, you go for second best (everything bagel).
