"Sometime in early 2006, Matan Schabracq and Anil Kably walked past a rundown bungalow on Pali Mala Road. Matan peeped into the garden area and wondered out aloud to Anil. Within a week they sealed the lease for what was to become the home of The Bagel Shop. Their idea was to start up a breakfast place that served up bagels and bagel sandwiches primarily. It’s been 10 years since that vision.
They got the Bagel Shop going and more than a business, they built a community; a multicultural cultural community that also welcomes our four-legged friends. The Bagel Shop today continues to play home and host to the much-quoted evolution of Bandra and its multi-cultural family.
The Bagel Shop is a small café that serves a wide selection of low-gluten-content bagels and a host of other café staples coffee, shakes, pastas, salads and tea-time cakes. The first café in Mumbai that sold bagels and bagel sandwiches, like the famous chorizo bagel sandwich, with the sausage sourced straight from Anton in Goa Velha.
The Bagel Shop evolved naturally as a local hangout to a place that welcomed and continues to welcome, a community of young, creative minds looking for a space that mirrors their convictions." - Landor

Had breakfast at The Bagel Shop, Pali Hill and really liked the overall vibe of the place.
The ambience is cozy and laid-back, but since it’s all outdoor seating (or at least mostly), it wasn’t the most comfortable experience in Mumbai’s hot and humid weather. Definitely something to keep in mind depending on the season or time of day you visit.
What we tried:
• French Toast – Soft, subtly sweet, and comforting. A great start to the morning.
• Eggs Benedict – Nicely made and full of flavor. Really enjoyed this!

I came here around noon on a Thursday, and it was not too crowded at all. Lots of seating options both outdoors and indoors with air conditioning. Lox bagel was good and a pleasant surprise on the menu. Lots of plants outdoors, creating a cozy atmosphere.

The Bagel Shop in Bandra is a cozy, laid-back spot, perfect for meeting up with friends and chatting for hours! It's also an ideal workspace-quiet and undisturbed, with most people here to work as well.
The food is delicious, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to stay focused. Great for both socializing and working!

A top cafe of Bandra, the Bagel Shop is a sure place for bagels and many other stuff. We were here for breakfast and really enjoyed our bagels and egg bennies. The dessert items tended to be okayish though. One observation- the size of the bagel has reduced over the years.

The food here is high priced in comparison to the quality, quantity and overall experience. The bagels were stale and difficult to chew.
The waiter suggested we have masala omlette and they charged additional Rs.62 for masala! Also, the taste was ordinary.
Plus, the menu mentioned 10 pc service charge! Which is not only unethical but illegal too!
Highly disappointed and not recommended!

Visited Bagel Shop for lunch on this quiet Friday afternoon.
As expected, the place was largely occupied by people working away in their laptops in quiet corners.
Food: 4/5
We had the Smoked Chicken Ham Bagel & Vegan Classic Bagel. Both of which were amazing. Also loved the quality of the bagel itself.
We also ordered the buttermilk fried chicken burger which was very mediocre with a very thick bun and not enough ingredients inside the burger apart from the chicken.
Dessert: 5/5
We had the Chocolate Fudge Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was really good.
Ambience: 1/5
A lot of their indoor seating isn't really great and you're just too close to other tables. Outdoor seating is too hot. In a way one could call this place "cute" but that just means it's too cramped.
Service: 4/5
Decent service. Nothing to write home about but nothing bad either. Staff was attentive and knew to recommend items off the menu well.

Delightful experience at The Bagel Shop. The food was outstanding - the pasta and pork sandwich were both delicious. The coffees were perfectly brewed, just the way we like them. The ambience was pleasant and cozy, and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend!
