Extremely friendly owner, open 24hrs all he asks is that you be quiet for the sake of his family and neighbors if you are going to come by really late or really early. It is self-serve, but if the owner is around, he will usually come out to help you. Absolutely a great place. I highly recommend people go support this place. Cash only, taxes are already factored into the prices.

We called and Ralph answered right away we couldn’t find a bucket and he let us know where to find one very helpful. Had lots of bait. Definitely going back there again if you need bait try the bait shack in Leominster you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome Bait shop. Today was my first experience at The Bait Shack. My son and I decided to go fishing at the last minute. We stopped by to purchase some worms. I was very surprised at the variety of live bait! I will be back soon...and often! This will be my only source of live bait locally to Leominster.

A bit remote but love the vibe from this classic little bait shack on a tidy residential property. Has all the things you need for a good freshwater setup... Worms, shiners, weights, hooks, etc. Very convenient if you are fishing at the nearby sportsman club.

Best live bait around! Always lively and last! Nice to be able to get bait ANYTIME! Owner is a little shady so keep an eye on him!!! LOL! TOTALLY KIDDING! Ralph is a good man and great guy!

The Bait Shack is an outstanding place to buy bait. Eels, mackerel, shiners, squid, I actually wish he had a little bit more of a selection of essential terminal tackle. It's a little out of the way but the fact that you can go any hour of the day is what makes it so great. I will say that if you go late at night shut your headlights off and be as quite and considerate as possible. I dont know what I would do if I couldnt grab eels here on the way to the Cape at night, I'd have to leave before the bait shops closed the evening before and thats just not realistic.
