The Baker's Duck

This bakery came highly recommended by locals, so I stopped in to grab a selection of treats for our staff, and it did not disappoint. While they don’t offer traditional buns or cakes, their bespoke range of baked treats is clearly where they shine. The shop itself is warm and inviting and would be a great place to dine in with a coffee, but my visit was takeaway. The staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful, assisting me to choose a good variety, cutting everything into share-size pieces, and packaging it beautifully in takeaway carry boxes. Although a little more expensive than a typical office morning tea, the quality and flavour more than justified it. Every item was a hit… exceeded expectations across the board. Highly recommended!

What a place to grab breakfast. Chunky beef and mushroom pie paired with bbq sauce was just out of this world. Undoubtably one of the best pies I ever had. Pair it all with a nice cappuccino and I was in total satisfactory state of mind. Shoutout to all the cool staff too. Just awesome 👏

The Bakers Duck is a fantastic spot in Toowoomba for great takeaway food and excellent coffee. Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and clearly made with care. A special mention has to go to the Christmas-themed desserts — they were creative, festive, and absolutely delicious, adding a fun seasonal touch that really stood out. Parking can be a bit difficult at times, but it honestly doesn’t detract from the overall experience at all. The quality of the food, coffee, and atmosphere makes this a spectacular spot and well worth the visit. Highly recommended! 🥐☕️

Always great food. The bread is as good as you expect from a good bakery. The savoury food (sausage rolls especially) are delicious. Good pastry, nice flavour and a good serving size. The sweet food is even better again. There's always a great range and at the time of writing this, it's the lead up to Christmas and there is a large range of Christmas themed treats. We had the Christmas Cake Macroons and they were delicious.

3.75 ⭐️ A nice spot with good coffee that’s smooth and well-balanced and big variety of baked goods. Tried the; 🥐 Nutelle twice baked croissant - was super dense and heavy, best to share. 🥐 Bacon quiche - was enjoyable with a good balance of flavour 🥐 Sausage roll - was solid, well-seasoned and comforting.

✨ A Sweet Surprise in Toowoomba! ✨ We went to Toowoomba for the first time for a hike, and after finishing the trail we stumbled upon this popular little café. What a surprise find! 💛 🥐 The Croissant – Airy, delicate, and full of layers. The texture is so light with no greasy feel at all, just buttery perfection that melts in your mouth. This is the BEST croissant in here!!💚 🍰 Basque Cheesecake – Smooth and creamy with that caramelised top adding a rich, slightly smoky note. It’s indulgent yet not heavy. The kind of cake that keeps you going back for more.🧡

In town for work and a colleague suggested for a coffee and lunch plus she recommended they did have a good sourdough! Great customer service...despite the busy hour...they were kind and efficient! While most items were gone by lunch, I was very lucky to purchase the last pumpkin, spinach and feta pastie....and it was absolutely delicious 😋 Highly recommended if you visit Toowoomba!

Lovely cafe, packed the day we went, no seating available inside so we sat outside on the side of cafe which was cute and inviting even in the cool crisp morning, waited about 5-10 mins for coffee, but pastry was served instantly. Pastry was perfectly crunchy and not very sweet at all, just lacking the buttery taste, loved the apple turnover, the crunchy, the stewed apple, and then the cream was divine!! Coffee we give it 2.5-3/5

Wonderful treats, excellent staff and great coffee! A must try in Toowoomba. I had a almond and raspberry brownie, which was absolutely delightful. Light, fresh and wish I'd bought more!

Amazing bakery !!! Great variety and very tasty. My favourite is the veggie quiche.

I'm sure I would love it....if I could get anywhere near the counter! 8am Saturday morning and the que was out on the street!!
