The Bakery

Cute little find in Santa Teresa (Costa Rica). It’s a small, quaint restaurant / bakery with lots of baked goodies and sweet treats on display. However, once we found out they also served food, we decided to give them a try. The food and service is second to none. All staff incredibly attentive. The Mediterranean bread starter is to die for! Highly recommend. We then ordered a selection of mains to share (including burgers, schnitzel and salads). All super tasty. We ordered an array of sweet and desserts which were also so yummy. The Bakery has a lovely outdoor seating area which we took advantage of. Highly recommend this place.

Good menu but not the greatest flavor. The price is pretty high but I understand this is a tourist area however some items on the menu seem overpriced food was okay not impressed although written on the menu most options sound amazing. For a place called THE BAKERY the baked good weren’t that impressive or felt as fresh we could blame the humidity of the weather but….

Absolutely loved The Bakery in Santa Teresa! Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully made, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into each pastry and bread. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the coffee is excellent, and the staff are genuinely friendly and kind, the kind of place you end up coming back to again and again. Perfect stop after the beach or for a slow morning treat. The best bakery in Santa Teresa. Highly recommended! 🌴🥐☕️

The coffee is excellent and the croissants are delicious. They also supply their baked goods to other cafés in town. The same owners run Namore, a very bougie, Paris-style café that feels like it was teleported straight into Santa Teresa. While it’s a nice addition, it’s definitely on the expensive side for Santa Teresa—a place that was once an empty no man’s land and has since transformed into a buzzing surf town attracting travelers from all over. With new cafés like this, prices have been rising quickly, which makes it a mixed bag for locals. Interestingly, much of the strip here is owned by just a handful of people, which really shapes the vibe of the area.

If you’re in Santa Teresa YOU MUST come here. Let’s just say once you try it. You will make it your daily breakfast spot. The food and baked items are 10/10. We have gotten something new everyday for breakfast and nothing has been short of perfect.

One of the best breakfast spots in the area. It is usually very crowded, so it helps to be early on at the spot. The food is very good and the portions are big. I had eggs travaganza with salmon and an immunity shot, and they were both great. The staff is also very nice and speak perfect english. Would clearly recommend the spot

The Bakery is a great spot! I had the fried egg avocado toast, and it was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. I also tried their iced coffee and cold brew, both of which were smooth and refreshing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Pricing was okay for the quality, and I’d definitely stop by again for a delicious and satisfying meal!

Been here twice and I’ll definitely be back! Super cute place and very friendly staff. Had a breakfast here, I had the fruit salad and “The Goat Croissant” with an iced latte on oat milk. It was so good! My friend had the open avocado sandwich which not only looked incredible but was so good! Also had some of their pastries and juices and there are incredible. The pastry collection is big and it’s hard to choose. So fresh and delicious! Highly recommend a visit here!
