The Balcony Bar & Kitchen

We stopped by for breakfast around 10:30 on Saturday. Busy but moved to a nice balcony table. Staff were very kind, smiley, and helpful. 🥗 Food & Drinks We all had vegan breakfast with adding/removing some things. They don't have veggie option hence we went with vegan making it not vegan with additions 😂 🍞 Fried bread – far too oily, couldn’t eat it. 🌽 Corn fritters – good texture, but turmeric overpowered the corn. 🌭 Vegan sausage – absolutely delicious! 🍳 Scrambled eggs – watery, uneven, and bland. ☕ Coffee – excellent, rich dark beans, worth coming for. 🌟 Atmosphere & Service 😊 Friendly, helpful staff. 🌿 Lovely balcony seating, relaxed vibe. Overall: Great service and atmosphere, some standout dishes (vegan sausage & coffee), but a few items need improvement.

We stopped as a group of 13 for drinks after a long mornings walk around St Ives. This is a fantastic place with stunning views of the harbour. Staff are very accommodating and super friendly. We were served very quickly and were sat in the corner at the back with the superb view. We stayed for about 2 hours chatting and taking pictures of our views and each other Good times !!

Balcony is a very beautiful trendy restaurant that offers amazing views of the harbour and a really nice atmosphere. However, the food and service was a bit of a let down. We went around 6-7pm, and even though there were only about a dozen patrons inside, service was very slow with most of the staff huddled around the bar yapping. Having to call their attention a few times, and having to go to the bar to get a glass of water, they were nice guys though. The food was also very subpar, with the brisket “loaded” fries, being light on brisket, and way too heavy on mustard sauce. They also got the bill wrong in the end, but they did apologize it and fixed it no problem.

Nice spot with amazing views over the bay and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was just ok for the price, and there’s a hefty 10% service charge automatically added, which makes it even more expensive. I tried the tacos and was disappointed to find only a tiny sliver of chicken inside – definitely not worth it. Worth visiting for the views, but be prepared to pay a premium. 👌

We went here for a late dinner and they’ve got a good, talented singer which adds more entertainment while we enjoy our food. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fish & chips. They were tasty and good value for money. The restaurant also has a nice view of the bay.

Chose this bar as between myself, my wife and my son we all fancied different things. I had fish and chips, son had a burger and wife something else entirely. We were on a mini holiday in Cornwall at the time. Lovely staff, nice and clean decor with good food. Totally recommend and will be coming back on our next visit to beautiful Cornwall.

Previously we’ve only been in here for a drink, maybe a few years ago, however we’ve recently tried it for food. With so much choice in St. Ives you do need to be l picky! Our buyers were okay, but I wouldn’t have them again - if that makes sense. They lacked body, were a bit “squishy”, which is a shame as the flavours were fairly good. I’ve had a lot worse. Service was okay, the woman was a bit like she couldn’t really be bothered, the server guy was a bit more enthusiastic. It’s a great location and the restaurant/bar is done out really well, of course the views are stunning if you’re lucky enough to get a window seat. There is no parking, you will have to use a public car park in the area.

The best burger I have ever had with a cracking view, service was great! can't wait to go back, would recommend!

Went there on our daytrip to St Ives. Nice burgers, relaxed atmosphere and great view of the harbour. The chili fries are extremely hot, perhaps a litttle too hot.
