The Balcony Bar & Kitchen

Very modern and vibrant establishment. Me and my partner come here for breakfast one morning, food was delicious, hot and fresh. We also came for drinks one evening and the service was quick and attentive. Strongly recommend for breakfast and also evening drinks. I did not manage to try the main menu food hoping to visit here again if we come back to St Ives.

Cheese Burger and Blue Cheese Burger are so good! I also love the ambience of the place and the view by the window. Make sure to sit by the window and savor the view of the harbour.

Came here for lunch. The food was not as good as it looked on the reviews, unfortunately. I had the salt and pepper squid loaded fries. Don't think there was any salt or pepper on them. I left most of them on the table. My wife had the prawns and they were very nice. The Coca-Cola was also very nice. 🤣 On top of all this, the bill came to over £30 which isn't crazy in this day and age. However, considering the quality was very over priced. The place itself looks very nice, and you can tell a lot of effort was put into the design. The staff were nice. I think I may have gotten unlucky as the pictures here show some very nice food, but I can only comment on what I had, and it was disappointing and substandard.

The atmosphere is always buzzing and the views are unmatched, looking right across the harbour, being a very open and bright space. The service was chatty and attentive too, always is! The food is good too, nothing unbelievable, but good! The chicken dippers are worth a go. The breakfast is solid, a little pricey to be honest, but it’s what you pay for being in St Ives I guess!

Excellent location. Super efficient staff. Not much chatter but great location. The food was also very tasty.

Lovely food, friendly helpful staff. Would 100% recommend if you are in the area especially breakfast.

REVIEW Aug 2024. Visited this evening food arrived within 5 mins which was perfect. All of the below still apply. Toilets were horrid, very pub like with some people shouting at the Olympics which is being show. Probably wouldn't return here if I'm honest but needed a quick dinner as others had an hour wait for food. REVIEW JULY 2023 **Visited tonight for dinner with my son 5 and husband. It was one of the few places that didn't have over an hour wait. There is a large steep set of steps to get inside, but the views are stunning. We were told it would be around a 20-minute wait, but we were seated before we even ordered a drink at the bar! Result. Most seats are by the window with a few in the middle. Also, most of the seats are high stools, which isn't the best with children or anyone with a bad back lol. The kids' menu is tiny with only 3 things to choose from. Chicken, burger, or fish. The chicken is breaded, so my son enjoyed it. A fruit shot will set you back £2.50! Omg, and a large coke £5! Menu is very small indeed but means they can get the food out quickly They had us in and out within an hour with a 10% service charge added to the bill. The food was nice enough but it was very rushed, and loud inside. Everything seemed frantic, and the food was average. Dirty Fries are dead easy to make. I'm not sure we would return, tbh as there is so much better on offer close by. Getting some colouring sheets and crayons and a better kids menu.

Really nice, but very busy. Service a little slower than I like, very pleasant though. Very spacious with the best views 👏 Food was really good ££
