The Bali Dream Villa & Resort Echo Beach Canggu

Firstly, I have to say; all the people in Bali are lovely. This review is not a reflection on them or their service. This place is not luxury, the photos may look nice but it's very run down. There are trip hazards everywhere especially on the wall down to the pool and restaurant. Be careful as there is a pipe for the private pool in the villas and it sticks out a fair way into the path. The rooms aren't the cleanest. The bathroom was moldy and dirty. The toilet had not been scrubbed, not had the bath or shower floor (the glass was horrible). We certainly were not looking forward to showering in there. Some of our friends who were staying there also had no hot water and no pressure at all! There is a dog nearby who constantly barks at night which you can add to the bloody frogs around the resort; relentlessly croaking day and night. There are better places to stay in Bali.

This was definitely a great and beautiful place to stay overall. Loved the food and smoothies. They welcomed us well, we arrived pretty late but still got our room situated. We booked a villa with our own pool! Lots of privacy and we enjoyed it very much. We didn't explore the neighborhood though it seemed ok. We do see other tourists walking and exploring but not sure if this area is right for that as it looked a bit sketchy in some areas for us. Sorry no offense. We used GRAB for food and transportation so it was very convenient for late nights. We were provided with 2 water bottles in the bathroom which was about enough for the two days we were there. You can definitely request for more. Overall very clean, had no problems with sheets and towels. The toilet paper rolls were a bit thin compared to other places but you can request for more. It was absolutely hot when we were there but thank goodness for the air conditioning. Worked just fine and kept us sleeping all night. Pool cleanliness I would say is probably 4/5 but I'm sure it's cleaner than the beach. The only con in my opinion is the shower area had an open ceiling or the glass looked like it broke and so the bathroom was open to bugs and nats. It did become bothersome because we got quite a few bug bites. Our bedroom had a door so no bugs got in while we slept. I do advise you to speak up of your room is not at all to your liking. I would book this place again.

Would never go here. We stayed 3 nights. Air was hot and not working after the 3 rd time complaining they finally fixed it. Never had a hot shower in all the time spend there. And my daughter got Bali belly from the chicken sandwich. Too far to walk to pool.

Great location, beautiful spacious villa, and a clean pool. Delicious food at a good price. The only downsides were the squeaky bed in the room and the spa being closed for renovation

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa and it was a dream!! The villa was gorgeous and the private pool was amazing. We had breakfast delivered to our room (included in the price of the room) and it was the best Nasi Goreng I’ve ever had. The service was great and not far from the beach. This was probably our favorite place we have ever stayed anywhere! So happy to have chosen it for our last day in Canggu :)
