The Bali Dream Villa & Resort Echo Beach Canggu

Really nice hotel resort, we were changing rooms and the staff let us use our villa until long after checkout time, basically until the new room was available. That was very nice. Furthermore the staff was very supportive, to find back our luggage, which was lost by the airline. The villas are well maintained and spacious, the private pool is worth every penny. The location is as well good, when you have a scooter. 🛵 so you can drive around, but if not walking is annoying and you need to use ways full of scooters. If you have a car then it takes ages to get around. The restaurant of the place is nice, but only fast food like pizza, fries and burgers are available.

Had a blast staying with my family at their private pool villa. Upon entering the lobby, we received great service from their security and front office staff. Helpful bellboy patiently waiting for us who brings a lot of bags and the bellboy carried most of it by hand! The villa room (room number 402) is lovely and clean and the pool is also well maintained. Their AC is working really well. The only downside was their hot water is not working and I guess they have begun construction next door which is very loud in the afternoon. The area is quiet, perfect for those who wants to get away from the bustling main street of Canggu. But, they have a limited parking space for cars (maximum two or three cars). Their breakfast buffet option is limited but taste wonderful. Room service menu is (surprisingly) very affordable for Canggu area but have limited option. Staff is friendly and helpful! Will book again if I ever stayed in Canggu.

"We stayed at The Bali Dream villa Canggu from August 23rd to September 1st to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was beyond disappointing. The bedsheet was changed only once during our stay, and the mattress topper and mattress had visible stains, suggesting they hadn't been washed thoroughly or at all. We discovered this after several nights when the bed started to reek of body fluids. My husband removed the bedsheets, and we were disgusted to find them soiled with multiple layers of stains. Upon informing staff about the situation, they took the soiled topper and announced that we would get a new one ...on the next day! The mattress, which was yellow-brown from use, clearly hadn't been flipped or cleaned regularly as well. The staff's lack of apology was disheartening. Another issue was the inconsistent hours of room service, which further spoiled our supposed relaxation. The mirrors were so old and dirty that we could no longer see our own reflections. The water pressure was ridiculously low, the showerhead was blocked, and the entire tap system at the bathtub was wobbling. The toilet bowl was never cleaned with bleach or any detergent. It was filthy, and we even considered purchasing our own Clorox to clean it, sadly there was no toilet brush. This entire place started to feel ridiculous. The bed decorations were an art piece, but sadly, a very dirty one. This was our third and last time at Bali Dream. We will not be staying here again."

The room is not maintained well. I personally prefer a room or hotel with traditional wooden decorations but here seems to be too old and not well-managed. The good thing is toilet is big compared to other modern hotels. Bed is not that comfy, staff was friendly but their way of working(?) and management system seems not efficient at all as we had to wait for pretty long time at the lobby until get to the room. Room instructions from staff was not enough. The hotel is located in the end of side road. Even though it’s in canggu, doesn’t look like canggu. If you prefer somewhere quiet, could be a good choice but for me, this was one of the weaknesses of the hotel as it has a low accessibility.

Our initial reaction was positive - our villa was pretty with a nice pool. However the service we received was incredibly poor. Unfortunately we had a massage while here which resulted in bruising all down my husband's back. The masseurs giggled and talked to each other throughout. We left with migraines and soreness which last the following few days. We ordered room service and got violently sick - the only time I've ever gotten 'bali belly'. A man walked into our Villa while I was sick in bed. Front desk were not very helpful. Infact were not even there when we went to check out in time for our flight home. Very disappointed in our stay.

I do not recommend this resort at all.what is advertised is not what you get.The Ac In my room wasn’t working well enough ,at night I’d get so hot and restless.it was so hot a bottle of water would have bubbles in the morning and the ac was running all night.The shower had no pressure at all and when asked they said all the rooms are the same.One morning I woke Up and there was no running water.i had to wait half an hour for the water to come back.the lift broke down at some Point so you had to use the stairs. Breakfast menu 4/10.if you have any early activities you will miss out on breakfast. I had to ring the restaurant multiple days to ask for clean glasses as they forgot when the room was cleaned.No balcony or windows.there is construction nearby that gets really noisy. It was an unpleasant stay and would not recommend staying here.

Great service, great hotel. Love coming back after years here. The hotel staff went extra mile to prepare welcome back suprise.
