I was invited by colleagues for dinner on a Friday evening. Not quite the area I wanted to be in, but went along. Wow, what a beauty. The hotel is so well looked after & the security in the front were appreciated. The service was good & the food really tasty. Very good for R195. I don’t think they anticipated such a hungry bunch though. I’ll be back for the carvery on a Saturday.

The hotel staff is beyond the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered while traveling extensively. From the hotel manager, reception desk, the restaurant, and the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredible. We had a room facing the water, so it was incredible to look out the windows and clearly see the water and beach. The room was not noisy at all. Breakfast had lots of options and we ate dinner in the hotel almost every night. We already booked this hotel for next year for 10 days.

Room 306. The bed is uncomfortably unbearable. You literally sleep on springs. Orderd an omelet it was like an egg roll not worth R95 had to get breakfast outside was there for 3 nights. The hotel is very clean and location is very well positioned. Staff is great. But the room is very bad. I would rate the hotel 6/10 and 3 star . Thanks

Excellent place to stay in Durban. The hotel is located on the beach promenade in the safest part of the city. Very good breakfast. Food in the restaurant is very good. We tried buffet dinner that was very diverse (grilled seafood, beef, and veg curry). As it is a halal hotel, they don't serve alcohol. There is free parking. I really liked the vintage feeling of the hotel's interior. Zaheera, the office manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful. When I told her that we wanted to go to the jazz club, she arranged for the hotel's car to bring us there and then pick us up. Thank you 😃.

For the age of the hotel. The upkeep is impressive. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Halaal restaurant is a great addition with good breakfast buffet option too. The sea view room is also great. Just one note thr room was equipped with all the correct towels and the quality of the towels were sub par however this got corrected the next day without me complaining. So this indicates the level of service they strive for.

Their food was delicious, the staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms were standard, my concern was a cold shower at room number 324. My colleagues also confirmed that their showers were not hot, kindly check and resolve the water heating problem. Thank you.

Spacious rooms, friendly staff, great service and convenient. I absolutely love the hotel, been using this hotel for almost all my Durban holidays and it also budget friendly

Old but still in great condition and well kept. I enjoyed my stay. Only downside was the limited parking, and waiting for your car when it was parked in another location. Not the quietest of areas of course, but it didn't keep me up at night.
