The Bank Hotel Istanbul, a Member of Design Hotels

UPDATE: Be careful filling out the Bank Hotel’s reservation deposit page. I got an error page 3x when I entered my card information. The Bank Hotel confirmed that it received my funds in spite of the errors. Good thing I checked my account a few weeks later - the charge had gone through 3 separate times. I got in touch with The Bank Hotel immediately and they confirmed they had received a surplus of $609.24. They take 21 days to process refunds which is truly an inordinate amount of time for an error that is ultimately at their end. ————————-//////////——————————- I think the Bank Hotel is overrated. Great location, beautiful rooftop and warm welcome upon arrival, but otherwise you don’t get your full value for money: small and cramped rooms, limited food options (the kitchen couldn’t accommodate my dietary restrictions and simply removed food items that I can’t consume instead of substituting), and inability to process a late check out. Breakfast was lame. I was also met with unsmiling faces from Hotel staff at breakfast each morning. I think Bank needs to improve their services.

The is a nice boutique historical hotel. If you are a Marriott traveler that is used to big spaces and a huge lobby with bustling activity this is not it. We stayed two nights and the staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good and convenient in the lobby. The room are older but updates so their style is the classical look and not with ton of space to store things alike drawers. The location is perfect and could get busy but it died down by 10 so you don't hear much till 7 am. Don't expect an upgrade if you used points to book the room. I think every Marriott affiliate has their own rules. Overall a great stay.

One of the best views in Istanbul is from the rooftop bar of The Bank Hotel, now at Marriott property. I stayed here a few years ago when it was called The Vault with a group of dear friends and we had an amazing rooftop bar experience. So I had to come back this July 2025, to revisit the experience. This hotel is such a great place because it's easy to walk to the bridge to old town (Sultanahmet) as well as to the nearly seven hundred year old Galata Tower - or take a stroll along the Bosphorus, which is almost of the stone's throw away. The bartenders, and wait staff, are incredibly sweet and kind. Everything is as good if not better. Highly recommend.

As a solo traveler, I had an unforgettable experience at The Bank Hotel Istanbul. From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome made me feel immediately comfortable. Mehmet at reception ensured my check-in was smooth and took a moment to personally greet me and recommending the best food spots, which set a friendly and inviting tone for my stay. The hotel itself is stunning, blending modern comfort with historic charm. Every detail, from the elegant décor to the thoughtful layout of the rooms, reflects a commitment to quality. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed. The welcome gifts in my room were a delightful surprise, and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay extra special by arranging a birthday cake for my birthday, which truly made me feel valued and celebrated. Cleanliness and comfort were clearly top priorities throughout the hotel. Housekeeping maintained impeccable standards, ensuring my room felt fresh and inviting every day. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was serene, relaxing, and welcoming—a perfect retreat after a day exploring Istanbul. The central location made it easy to access major attractions like the Galata Tower, the Bosphorus, and the vibrant streets of Beyoğlu, while the hotel itself felt like a calm sanctuary. The combination of thoughtful design, exceptional service, and those personal touches, especially the birthday celebration made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend The Bank Hotel Istanbul for anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and special experience in the city.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The building is full of character, the rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the staff were warm and helpful. From arrival until the. End of our stay. Loved the rooftop bar and the view. Would definitely stay again! Thank you 😊

We had a lovely stay at the Bank Hotel, ideally located in the vibrant Karaköy district. From the beginning, the staff was extremely warm and welcoming and the place in itself is beautiful. We had booked the Deluxe Duplex King Room and it was just perfect. I also loved the little treats and daily attentions. The spa is a nice addition and even though it is quite costly compared to similar experiences, we had a very pleasant time there (going up to the room right after it is so good). The rooftop is breathtaking and the food is very good too. Expensive, but definitely worth it. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast which wasn’t particularly appealing in my opinion. They could add more options, or a live experience of fresh gözleme for example. However, I do recommend booking a cultural experience at the hotel, like the manti workshop. It’s interesting, fun, and free! You even get to eat the food that you prepared. This experience is SO worth it! Special thanks to Sahar and Mehmet who were incredible hosts, but globally speaking, the staff there is amazing. I would definitely book this hotel again if I’m back in Istanbul!

Worst hotel experience as a Titanium member — felt discriminated against and unwelcome. Room lacked blackout curtains, laundry service was refused, and staff denied me a simple herbal tea at the rooftop bar despite being diabetic. Rude service, no effort to accommodate, and no resolution even after multiple complaints. Even their welcome gift was some expired chocolate. Think again before booking this hotel , you can add 5 more dollars and stay in JW marriott where you know 100% you are getting the service you deserve.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bank Hotel. The location was perfect as it was a short walk to the tram that crosses the river. The tram was super easy to use with a swipe of my credit card. I did not have to master a unique pass system to use public transportation Breakfast (included) was great and got our days started well. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

I don't know where to begin! The Vault Karakoy is The PERFECT hotel. Staff was professional, helpful and genuinely nice, the hotel itself is gorgeous and walking distance to the Galata tower and Istiklal street which are must places To visit (make sure you drink a coffee at Autentic coffee house). I highly highly recommend it, Look no further and book your hotel, You won't regret it! Listen to their recommendations, they were all spot on. I don't think I've ever been this happy with a hotel!!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. It's like a boutique hotel, small and cozy, very professional staff! Rooms are pretty and very comfortable! The best service we got from the concierge, I cant spell their turkish names but they really helped us with our itineraries! Best hotel in turkey! Truly recommend it!!!! You won't be disappointed! :-)

Exceptional service, perfect location, a true gem. The hotel is located within walking distance of just about anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Public transportation is also a five minute walk away. The conversion from a bank to hotel was executed with great attention to detail. The hand painted detail on ceilings in the bedroom, crown moldings and warm decor created a welcoming oasis at the end of a long day. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel!!
